The steak hotplate is a popular Vietnamese breakfast/latenight streetfood in Saigon. Not very easy to find in the US.

Those dishes look so good. 👍We have a lot of Vietnamese restaurants here in Oregon., and you can tell the difference on each of their same menu.
My Vietnamese co-worker would bring me marinated pork chop so I can just grill them for dinner with the family. Awesome taste but that's only when his wife is on the mood of preparing large batches of pork.😁

No medium rare meat? Still looks good.
Closest thing here is rare steak (sliced). It goes into the soup and gets cooked. A bit to fast, so you wind up with medium well meat anyway lol.
I prefer Thai Boat Noodles over Pho any day of the week. It's just that good.

Yes there is the ox tail, i identify it by the round cartilage from the tail structure ... I prefere oxtail braised , then put in a soup or such .. Definitely never boil a beef short rib HAHA PEACE !!!!!!!!!!!!

US Pho or Vietnam Pho?
What do you mean? I put the address in the description. It's a restaurant in the U.S. But made by real Vietnamese people. And it tastes great. There is a difference, I just came back from Vietnam. In Vietnam, there's also a difference between northern and southern pho. The U.S ones are good too (depending on where you go). I liked it at Pho4Real.
Do you think some Pho restaurants in North America are even better than Vietnam? ( the beef is better)
There good and bad in both countries. Because there's even an A5 Kobe Beef pho in Saigon. The northern pho & southern pho are different as well. Personally, the best Pho I had was in Ha Noi (northern), but people are divided on the issue. But you're right. On the average, meat quality might be a little better in the U.S. But it's not only the meat that makes a bowl of pho good. The broth, the veggies, & herbs. The vinegar garlic is awesome in Vietnam. Also the hot sauce is different in some places.
Are the chopsticks upsidedown?
Yes, when I was grabbing the meats. Some people use the top of the chopsticks when grabbing items that everyone shares. In this case, I just grabbed the wrong side... filming haha.
Chop sticks can be used both ends.also make good toothpick

That much difference? Menu says, "Short Rib" - But now I see the difference. I've had braised short rib and back rib dished at Korean places. Thanks for the info.

@Michael McMillan ... Like I said, it's not premium meats, especially if you're expecting it for $8 to $10. But it was Ok for me, especially since I can put away a lot of food when I'm hungry.

This isn't a pho sandwich. There is a pho sandwich in some places. They don't have any banh mi here. Only the sizzling steak (shaken beef). This is real steak, lettuce, and tomato... a little egg. It comes from the shaken beef dish, served with bread on the side.

I was disappointed a few times with the meat in the sandwich. Oxtail is a bit fatty anyway if it's not trimmed. The beef in the souls were good. That's what I experienced anyway, during my trips to this place. Haven't been there in awhile though.
Not to be rude, but how can I take your advice on Viet food from a Caucasian guy. Pho4real on Spring Mtn is one of the worst viet restaurant I’ve ever been too, like Pho Kim Long. Pho Bosa was very good 2 years ago, but when you go there, you wonder why they have robots to bring you food, because I talked to a employee that quite there because the owners don’t give the tips to their employees and pocket it themselves and also charge you 15% on orders if you don’t order online, that’s bullshit.
Who said I was Caucasian? I've had bad experiences there, and also good ones. I gotta say, it's not consistent. Check out my Vietnam videos. Good stuff. Oh yeah, I'm not Vietnamese either.
