Thanks Dave ! Always a pleasure to see what you are up to . Modular houses are interesting . And for those of us in other places , we get to see Australia ! Thanks , Scott 🌵
Thanks Scott 🙏🏻 I agree mate, the process of building, splitting, transporting and fitting the modules together again is really interesting. And it’s a great way to see some new places
Gday Dave, it good to see and hear you’ve been busy, Sutto’s valveliner brings back memories of them bloody plastic nuts coming loose on the air cleaner lid, interesting work shifting houses, throughly enjoyed watching mate, cheers
Thanks Matty 🙏🏻 Those plastic nuts are good when they’re new but they strip quite easily. They’re good with a 5/16” UNC heli-coil in them, they never strip. I’m glad you enjoyed the video mate
Some big jobs you done with the house moves used to similar but with old houses been cut in half and moved to different sites also swimming pools moving them to jobs they were fun to get in sites has the houses had been built and people putting pools in power wires were a pain to work around sometimes cranes had to lift over house roofs to get them into the back yards .keep up the good work .
Thanks Alan, I’ll keep at it. It’s an interesting job. The company I work for are supplying houses to government organisations, they haven’t really chased too much work in the private market.
Awesome morning brother from another country down under how are yall doing another awesome adventure as always brother awesome rigs from an awesome channel great to see you again
Dave nice to see where you been hiding ,the V8 sounds good ,interesting how they unload the houses they used to use jacks and sit them on Besser blocks ,saw a lot delivered in the late 70,s and early 80,s in Clare and Burra when i was living in the area.where are those houses built Broken Hill!!. Thanks for a very interesting video Kym Adelaide
I’ve had the V8 for a while now Kym, but I’ve only just recently made some modifications to the exhaust. These houses might be unloaded with jacks in the future, but the crane makes easy work of it now. Some of the sites are difficult to get a truck into. You wouldn’t be able to back extended trailers into the block at Broken Hill.
And don't overturn one of them FH16 they shift left to right rather quickly, easy to loose your B-trailer whilst reversing. If you're aware of this though, they'll be very friendly to you, unless 24v electrical systems hate you... Like they do me 😂 Great video Dave, I appreciate seeing something that's not just general freight on on freighter tautliners, thanks mate, Dave - Hume Transport Albury
I think those FHs were a pretty good truck weren’t they? They would be pretty comfortable. Haha 24V could be challenging. Good on you Dave, I appreciate your comment, I’m glad you liked the variety. I wasn’t sure how it would come across 🙏🏻
@@oldrigsdownunder7301 mechanically the FH16 were a really reliable truck. Electrically not so much, that's all we ever seem to find with them is a million and one electronic faults. Never seem to do anything else on them aside from dropping some oils and changing some filters. The video came out great mate, rather enjoyable. Thanks again Dave 😁
Are modular, prefabricated home units the norm in your area? We have similar units here in the USA too, but most houses are stick built on site from scratch and not trucked in, in modular form. Very interesting to see.
@oldrigsdownunder7301 thanks mate I was a bit rude asking your business we had a couple over the years I know of one on a remote cattle station that has a 375 V8 early r model has a long tray thanks you know your Mack's I must say young Anthony Ballard is the only other person I know that knows as much good guy from Queensland
@oldrigsdownunder7301 oh yes my mate has a 6x6 X military chassis with the minus the cabin and engine he is keen to get Off his property if you are interested it's a long way he does have excavator to load it on he asked me to take it I don't have a float anymore or the room to be truthful I just got rid of just about everything I don't have the money to spend on them and I am getting to old
Yes Alan, I’ve had 2 trucks carting these modules around. The Ultraliner and the CHR. The Valueliner belongs to a mate, I used it when the Iltraliner broke down.
