Secrets Behind the Walls: Andy's Escape Plan

A murder case has landed banker Andy (Tim Robbins) in prison for the rest of his life, accused of murdering his wife and her lover. His first appearance at Shawshank Prison impresses the prison's “big brother” Reed (Morgan Freeman). Reed helps him get a rock hammer and a poster of an actress, and the two become friends in need. Soon after, Andy shows his talents as a prison librarian and uses his financial knowledge to help prison officials avoid taxes, catching the attention of the warden, who recruits him to help him launder money. He is recruited to help the warden launder money. By chance, he learns that a newly-imprisoned thief can testify to help clear him of a murder charge. With a glimmer of hope, Andy approaches the warden in hopes that he can get his case overturned. The sinister and hypocritical warden pretends to promise Andy, but behind the scenes he sends someone to kill the thief, killing his only hope of getting out of prison legally. Frustrated, Andy does not despair, and on a stormy night of lightning and thunder, a decades-old hidden plan to escape from prison allows him to redeem himself and regain his freedom! Inspired and aided by him, his old friend Reed also makes a brave run for freedom.#movie #film
