Swords to Plowshares is life because it represents the healing that comes with leaving the horrors of war and coming home, the name is more literal than people think.
Path to Exile gets you a land because you get told to go somewhere else forever
And get lost gives you a map to figure things out.
I always remembered it as a soldiers life is not his own so he gains a life when he becomes a farmer.
It's life because they stop fighting and start farming, making food...

New players tapping correctly vs players who have played Magic and dont tap correctly x.x
(the, though legal, quarter to halfway tap feels lazy and deceptive. That there should be free and open information about your tapped/untapped permeants. Cause a messy board state might be purposefully hiding a double activation of a tap ability).

Absolutely nothing against yall getting a bag for the sponsorship but man is that “solid as a rock” ad is the most annoying thing at the start of your episodes, spikefeeders and covertgocrew episodes. Love yall hate that ad 😅
Also not the biggest fan of the ad in the face but it’s fine. I find spikefeeders gameplay probably the hardest to watch after the sponsorship. Or at least recent ones

I'm right there with you Olivia. How is swords to Plowshares not the one that gives a land, it makes no sense.
Veteran returns from war and works the land for harvests to feed the people they protected.
Swords to plowshares is about turning your soldiers into farmers! So you lose the creature and eat the crop.
The fact that Eilidh has a Queza "I Draw, Drain You" deck is further proof that my constant support of Eilidh is morally correct.

I started watching Lupo years ago when I was deep into my destiny grind. I got into magic a few years back and it’s cool having these streams come full circle in a way.
Im sure this comes up often, but aims looks a lot like Jenna Ortega. Always entertaining watching the hijinks crew and their esteemed guests!

Second Comment: Given the comment about crossovers, I can confirm at least 10 IP crossovers into Magic. As far as I can tell, way back when, it was The Walking Dead crossover that started everything.
At this point, I see only certain crossovers coming into Magic, as Hasbro has to get the licensing. Thus, some possibilities are more remote than others, such as Mortal Kombat or Alien vs Predator. However, some IPs are closer than others, such as Star Wars (Disney IP), Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers (Hasbro owns this IP), G.I. Joe (Hasbro owns this IP), Resident Evil (Hasbro already licensed Street Fighter from Capcom), Mega Man (Capcom property), Non-MCU Marvel (Disney IP), MCU Marvel (Disney IP), and Nintendo IPs like Super Mario Bros. and Legend of Zelda. Other distant IPs could be Doom, Castlevania, and Twisted Metal, all video game IPs.
Just my thoughts.

It’s interesting that the destiny crew all of a sudden is getting into magic, when almost every destiny streamer and content creator is also freaking out about their job since destiny isn’t doing so hot. It’s hard not to feel a bit weird about watching destiny creators filter their way into other types of content. I just hope it’s really genuine and not a burn after reading situation. At least in my opinion being a fan of both games for years now.

Some players like to have life, to pay with. You cannot pay any life, if you want to live and you are at one (in almost every MTG board state).

Yeah, doctor only came to mean MD relatively recently, it's always meant a holder of a doctorate. Ironically under the original use of the term an MD would not actually be a doctor if they didn't do extra years of post graduate education (some specialists need a PhD).
I think fancy dice is a reasonable thing, I have spent too much on making some of my decks 'fancy' to judge someone on their dice!
Swords to Plowshares gives life because it's a Biblical reference to the end of war, it represents the tools of war (swords) being turned into tools that work the soil... also, it's consistent with the all time great Farmstead offering life, but Fasting also offers life? In this case the creature is being retired from war and going off to farm, and he farms according to his power apparently, maybe that's why they usually depict them with a hoe rather than a plow?
TBH I think I'd have relatively few complaints about facing Edgar Markov if it wasn't for the fact that people can just have Captivating Vampire at a really bad time and many decks just suck vs that kind of thing, and the ones that don't tend to run a LOT of wipes. Edgar has decent odds of not being fun, but a small part of me would love to try something like my Meren deck, just go really hard into Aristocrats combo rather than combat, but most people prefer to face combat driven decks these days!
If you hate artifacts and have access to Blue, their is good old Energy Flux... make sure you get a version that reads at least vaguely like how it works, some versions (I think 4th ed or something?) are just flat out wrong.

Think it's funny Olivia is like 'Hey, that's a problem, when it's someone else but when she does the exact same thing it's always, 'I'm not a problem it's just a couple extra cards' or 'why would you attack me, I'm not doing anything except casting enchantments, just a humble shrine maiden' and gets salty. 🤣🤣🤣
Edgar was one of my first decks I built, not the first. I think it was my third deck after Izzet Wizard tribal and I think Phenax was my second deck, it was many many years ago, I recently took Edgar apart and built Dihada instead. so now I have a bunch of vampires I don't use for everything, maybe I'll make Vito of the dusk rose and put all the mono black ones in there.
41:15 Aims can tap the captivating vampire in response and 4 others to steal something and still have 1 blocker up, but yeah. Isn't land tax 3 lands to hand? yeah, 3 basic lands.

@1:31:00, Ben tries to put 3 +1/+1 counters on a creature he controls, but can't, because of the Greater Auramancy. His creatures are enchantment creatures, which means Greater Auramancy gives those creatures shroud, rather than hexproof, which means nobody can target permanents with shroud, not even the controller of those permanents.
It's why Whispersilk Cloak in Feather is actually a sub-optimal play, because with Feather, you want to be able to target her with the instants and sorceries you cast, and Whispersilk Cloak does not allow you to do that, despite the benefit of unblockability.
How big is Olivia? Larger than life 😊

Surprised there’s no Narci, Fable Singer in the Bombadil list. Extra card draw, though it’s not needed much in enchantress. But more importantly a way to potentially finish the game as sagas hitting final chapters drains each opponent.
He should't put the counters on the Jukai cause shroud. Also steals sol ring tapped and still usted for mana to cast Arcane signet... And even used sol ring again when the owner was gone 😂😂😂😂 wtf

I had the same problem with Swords gaining life, and Path getting land until... I thought about it, and... Plowshares means working the land to produce food, and food gains you life.

This is the reason I reworked my own Tom deck to a legends with subtheme of sagas. It’s such a cool deck idea but in practice is just so clunky and time consuming
