@@AngusKennedy I used to lived in caloundra for 10 years about 4 years ago before I moved to the goldy. I still go up every couple months ago and the crowds are insane. But you can still get lucky a score a dream day like your vid👌

@@Jay-fq8uz The Sunshine Coast has exploded in population in the last 15 years so that is definitely a factor. Everywhere just seems to get busier and busier here each year hey, the exact same as what happened to the Gold Coast.

Hey man, spot on it is an O'Neill hyper freak wetsuit. Its 3:2 mm and the water temp is usually around 19-20 degrees Celsius here in the winter with cold winds coming in from the west. Its awesome to hear that you're watching my video from all the way over there, love it.
@@AngusKennedy nice! my hope is to get that way one day and ride some waves over there. this wave looks super fun. usually surf trestles and malibu spots out here. rincon during the winter (but ur fighting for waves at rincon haha). but noosa looks super fun, i'd like to hit that spot with my twin fin.
Yeah it is such a nice wave, there's 3 right hand point all equally as good within 1km of each other in the national park at Noosa which is awesome. It doesn't get waves above 3 foot often so when it does it can get super crowded kind of like Rincon so you just have to be lucky to get a nice day with not to many people out.
I bought this board off the Hayden shapes website but if you want a board that's kids size there should be heaps at any surf shop! If not a bigger board is never a bad thing!
No worries bro, I live in Australia so I don’t know much about who sells boards in America but you can try all the major brands websites (pyzel, Al merrick, JS, Hayden shapes etc) you also might be able to go to the wave pool at Waco and I’m sure they would have boards there!!
Thanks so much man! For this video yes I did use the safety leash but I don't use it anymore as it often goes over the lens and ruins the shot. The mouth mount is pretty secure, I've never dropped it and I've used it at least 10 times now.
Not a worry my man! I have a GoPro hero 7 black and I just use the "skeleton case" which is the one it just comes with in the box. I do however have the orange "floaty" stuck onto the backdoor of it so it floats if I drop it.

Looks so nice I had holiday home a couple years ago right on the beach in Coolum not far from noosa, I remember how good of a break this was especially if there weren’t many people

Yea man super fun!!! The Hypto is actually designed to be ridden 6 inches shorter than your standard size board which for me is 6'0 so that's why I've got it in a 5'6. I only weigh around 70kg as well so I probably would struggle to duck dive a 6'0 Hypto as they are really buoyant.

This wave is called "Tea tree bay in Noosa Heads in Australia" it's a long wave that can give up to 1 minute rides that go for up to 300 hundred meters. 🤙
Nice surfing, you're deceptively fast, I was always wondering why you were seemingly far from the lip but able to keep the line for a long time, and only about four minutes in saw your pumps and they looked very efficient, you're not splashing around, just beautiful down the line stuff :)

Trying so surf a nice line and be a little bit more "effortless" is what I try do do so I'm stoked that you think that 🤙 It also happens because Noosa is such a fast wave sometimes that if you fall behind a section there's usually no chance that you will make it back around, and with how crowded the lineup is you want to make the most of every wave!

The hypto rips man! It is a bit weird surfing with the gopro though, holding it in your mouth feels pretty strange and you've gotta be conscious of the angle its facing while you're surfing haha

I used to surf Noosa a couple of times while I was doing an exchange year at the sunny coast and it was always super fun!

Love the feeling of getting them all the way in and then jumping off the rocks again to get back to the line up quicker.

A spring suit is sufficient in Noosa winter June to August. Vest in September. No wetsuit needed October to May.
