Thanks for letting me know that song is in this video so I can be prepared to skip it. It’s already horrible without them making it even more cringe lol. That song just makes me want to cut my ears off so i can’t hear it and gouge my eyeballs out so I can’t see the screen. Whenever I hear that song it feels like someone playing frequencies harmful enough to kill an elephant directly into my ears with subwoofers and at the same time somebody squeezing my balls with a hydraulic press. If someone ever plays it in the same room as me or close enough to me that I can hear it I’m beating your ass.
That blade's definitely made for carpeting. When you need to switch blades quickly or replace blunt ones.
I used to work overnight stocking at a supermarket and while something like this would definitely be overkill for it, it would be convenient since I went through blades decently quickly at that job.

@@OmniKoneko i enjoyed the job well enough. It wasn't particularly difficult and it was nice not having to deal with customers since the store was closed. Only major pain with it was it being overnight. I can't flip flop my sleep schedule so it made it kinda annoying on my days off when I needed to do various things at normal times.

I think anyone who who more than a casual user would get great use out of that quick change mechanisim. I work backstage in theater and we do need to swap blades fairly regularly. Heck, when I use to work in fast food, I used one to break down tons of boxes every night.
I use that knife religiously and it is a god send. Its true you really need to use the knife a lot to really see the benefits but another feature with that knife is very important to show. The cartridge comes preloaded with multiple blades and if you were to just release the old blade, you can move the slide down and back up and it will instantly be reloaded with another fresh blade without you having to fiddle too long looking for another blade and inserting it yourself
Might buy as a fellow razor blade user. We use the terrible green plastic ones if we don’t buy our own
@@mtgn59 Definitely do, they are worth the 20ish bucks you spend, they also make a utility knife that flips into a scraper as well if you happen to use those often too.
@@mtgn59 Those are a million times better than the shitty safety ones lowes gives out to their workers. The grip safety breaks after a 3 inch drop, not allowing the blade to pop up. And even when it works properly, the blade retracts the moment it catches on cardboard. My super straight said fuck those and had a couple kobalt ones he gave to his crew.
Menard's has to be the final episode of the Home Improvement tech, saving the best for last.

Being someone who worked construction, i used dewalt earbuds for a bit. You get used to them, but for the price the sound isnt bad, and comfort is decent. The battery life is what i loved about it. Listen for 5 hours, charge during break, and listen the next 5 hours. But some days i was able to go the full day non stop
I didn’t know Lowe’s sells dewalt products , only Home Depot by me sells Dewalt products and Lowe’s sells other brands including craftsman.

As some one who worked at a lowes in their online department, we ran into the "in stock but its not actually in stock" ALOT. I swear that lowes has a worse shrink issue than walmart(which i also worked at, at one point)

Not much these days. Goodwill used to be amazing to find some old tech about a decade ago.
When I worked as a truck-unloader/shipment processor, and stocked shelves...that box blade would be super helpful. since we would go through blades sooo much...but the company wouldn't approve of the lack of safety..all the guys/gals would be playing with them lol. Im sure there's remodel/construction jobs that could or do use it?

Tilted Nation stuff is actually really good been using some of their stuff for years now, surprised to see them in a store and that's actually kind of exciting lol. The brand has a really awesome back story, they had an entire stream team built up of Twitch and Mixer streamers. Great to see Mixer didn't stop them from keeping going.
I would very much like to see the tech that is available at your local West Marine - I can only imagine the tech they have for all the people out there with boats, and boat related things.
I work in construction and I’m changing my utility blades usually at least once a week! And being able to change to a hook blade does seem kinda useful, even thought it seems no different than what I currently do and thats have two knives

as a construction worker/ flooring installer. i buy kobalt 100pk utility blade from lowes about bi monthly. when you use the blades to cut flooring ontop of concrete it kills blades quickly. i can easily go through 3-4 razor blades a day at work

Those tough built knifes are actually brilliant for tradesmen who go through half a dozen blades a day and need multip different ones
Would love to see yall cover the dewalt "headset" hearing protection ear muffs with Bluetooth capabilities. almost bought it but i ended up buying a similar "headset" by 3M because it was cheaper. 3M one was pretty solid the sound quality is definitely no gaming headset level of good but it blocks out most outside noise

Lowe's has a $79 delivery fee. Unless it's certain appliances or a certain amount you wouldn't believe the people who order one thing and it cost like $10 and the shipping is $79 lmao

@YourAverageRetail its literally from delivery. Theres only certain thinfs that you can get free delivery for.
That's delivery, not shipping. If Matt paid that, that's because he selected delivery. If the store sees something like that and the customer paid for it, they're going to ship it instead of sending out a delivery truck with that small of an item load.

Obviously you guys never cut cardboard and packages everyday as part of your job and having a super sharp thin blade gets dull after cutting thick cardboard and paper on a daily basis. But that cutter is Sick!!!
You still didn't get the Black & Decker Battery... the one that attaches to power tools like drills, but also has a USB port in it for your phone, so you can, you know, charge your phone from your drill while building your babies crib or something.
If you can't find the B&D one, Greenworks also has one.
Flipable USB-A does exist and austin becomes curious george on that. I like the speaker though with that eyes that will stare you into your soul.

When doing roofing if I can’t get the proper blades for cutting shingles I have to use the regular ones and I go through quite a few full length blades in one sitting

Dewalt used to have a knife that had 2 slots and sliders, so you could switch between hook blade and regular blade. Ideal for roofing

I love the chunky dewalt earbud case. Everything today is sleak and tiny…which is a good way for me to lose things from them either being easily droppable or hard to find.
Those "universal" usb A connectors suck in the long run. It's great at first because yeah you don't have to worry about orientation but they wear out because the middle piece with the pins bends back and forth.
Lowes used to have free shipping for MyLowes members, and I used it frequently to have stuff shipped to me. They did away with the free shipping, and I haven't bought from them since. Walmart and Amazon got all my business after that. I still wonder if I'm the reason Lowes did away with free shipping..I need something dumb like 2 screws and theyd FedEx it to me. Granted Amazon and Walmart deliver stuff like that within hours now.
They still have free shipping over $35. And they just came out with a new rewards program that once you hit a certain level, it's free shipping with no minimum.

i use a razor knife for my job and depending on the activity i may need to change the blade every week or every 20 minutes, plus if you cut something and hit a metal edge the blade is done
I wouldn't by any Dewalt electronics besides the cable, I've had one that I didn't buy, and they hold up much better than any cable I've used.

You guys are happy about the reversable USB-A. Somewhere I still have cables with rebersable USB Micro-B connectors. Those are more fragile than normal micro USB connectors, but I had no problem with them.

I had one of those dewalt cords for 2 years and didn't have a single issue only reason i don't have it anymore is bc i lost it i was impressed with it tho cords with me usually only last a couple months

I work for Lowes and we don’t have Tech in stores besides nest and ring and a Roku maybe a firestick
They have a bunch of smarthome stuff. And the dewalt headphones and stuff I've seen in store. I've also seen wifi routers in there at one time too. They had beats headphones during black friday one year too.
It cost $80 regardless of how much you order, typically people are getting pallets of stuff or large items shipped. They made a stop in a box truck just to deliver this bucket of stuff for them. It's $20 if you have a pro account, which is free to sign up for if you have a business. Large appliances are shipped for free.

What you didn’t see was austin took the baby shark home for personal use.
I find Dewalt's mobile accessories decent, albeit somewhat expensive. The lifetime warranty is a valuable feature, allowing easy replacements. The earbuds have an unusual sound signature, but they're average quality. If you're a Dewalt enthusiast, sticking to their products makes sense.
