      Thank you! The one we used was EZ Cruise Parking which was about $75 including tax for the 7 day cruise after coupon. Covered parking ones are more expensive. There are cheaper ones that are $65 with a shuttle too, but they are a little further away from the port. If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to let me know!

      Sure thing! This was from February 2019. The weather will probably be between the high 40's to the mid-60s, but as you sail towards Mexico/Western Caribbean, it will probably warm up to 80 or even a little above.

    The last time we cruised we had 2 suitcases each and an item (each) that could fit under the seat on our flight. Then there were buses (supplied by Princess cruises) from the airport to the Princess terminal. Our luggage was taken at the terminal to be delivered to our room. I can't imagine having to drag our suitcases from a parking lot; across train tracks; past the Carnival terminal to the Royal Caribbean terminal. We live in Texas so thought about taking a RC cruise from Galveston. I'd have to check and see if there are any secure parking lots that have a suttle(s) to the RC terminal. We are older and have some limited mobility problems. The ship looked very nice.

    • @TravelTouristVideos
      @TravelTouristVideos  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Even though this particular parking lot was close, like other parking lots it did offer a shuttle option as well which will drop you off right at the terminal, as well as pick you up after the cruise there. So yeah that shouldn't be a concern. The ship was quite nice indeed and offered good food & entertainment. We'll be posting a tour video of the ship and of the food as well. Thanks for watching & commenting!

Btw my family and I plan to leave at like 7-7:30am with about a 2-2:30 drive to Galveston, what time do you think will be best given the extra time that is being needed for the scans that they’re doing to every passenger

      They do have a separate line for suite guests at check in that should speed things up. If you get to the terminal by 10:30 AM you should be one of the first ones aboard. Yes they were going to upgrade the terminal- not sure if the pandemic has put a damper to those plans.

      @TravelTouristVideos  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We arrived at a little past 10, but the ship wasn't ready for boarding until nearly noon. So yeah I'd say by 10 AM, but be prepared to wait 2 1/2 hours or so to get on the ship, right on time for lunch. You might avoid as much time waiting by arriving later at noon or even 1 PM, however, but definitely need to be there by 2:30 PM at the very latest as the ship sailed a bit after 4 PM, and the mandatory safety drill was around 3:15 PM. Have a great cruise!

      Yes as far as I know- if the cruise is returning to the same port in the US then you're good with a birth certificate and a government ID. That is unless it's a Cuba cruise, but those cruises no longer exist for now as of June. But you should double check with your travel agent or the cruise line just to be 100% sure.

    It literally looks like you weaved through random mazes from the time you found the parking spot. How does a first-time cruiser know where to go? It doesn't look like Carnival is making this obvious at all. My blood pressure is actually going up while watching this video. You've walked about 30 minutes of foot steps from the time you parked, walked across an unlit train track with your rolling luggage, somehow managed to go the right way even though nobody else was walking that way, and this "30 minute total" time that Carnival keep quoting me looks like it took you 2 hours total.. am I correct? And do they get rude when you stop to ask a worker "where do I go next" ?

    • @TravelTouristVideos
      @TravelTouristVideos  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Our parking lot was 2 blocks away, but it actually was not the closest to the cruise port- you can find even closer ones directly across from port which are more costly and fill up quicker. You can google "Galveston Cruise Parking" and you will see the choices. I definitely recommend reserving a parking spot before the cruise, preferable at least a week or two before. But it was very easy knowing where to go to get to the terminal because you just follow the people and just go towards your ship.
      Lugging the luggage for about 10-15 minutes walking was a bit of a pain, but most parking lots offer a shuttle option as well. With shuttles, however, just note that you may have to wait a while before they leave the parking lot (on embarkation day) or from the cruise terminal (on disembarkation day) to drop you off back at the parking lot. If you need help, I'm sure workers or fellow cruise guests will be more than happy to assist.

      I'm sure it will be very exciting! It's not very new but I think Royal Caribbean has renovated it back in 2015, and it's schedule to dryd ock probably next year.

    Looks like a third world country terminal. Other ports make this look sad.
