Two things I like about this channel, 1: you've introduced me to new foods I've never heard of before and 2: you've helped me save money by reviewing products I was intending to buy.
Its perfect for the family. The wife has a cheese salad, the kds bread & butter & crisps & dad has the Beef short Ribs curry. Yes sir sounds a good meal to me.
That looked lovely. I reckon you should review more premium products cos there`s nothing worse than looking forward to a weekend treat, spending the extra cash and realising the best thing about it was the photo on the front of the box.
Glad to see your back ? That’s not very nice . I’ll never want to see the back this guy . I know it’s a typo , couldn’t resist . My auto correct gets me into all sorts of bother too .
Great review as usual but just a thought, it would be awesome to see the post cooked weight (of everything, sauce included) and also to see the weight of the bones once your finished to see how much bearing they have on the weight detailed on the packaging…sending love to you and your family 👍💕

Hey Gareth, nice a decent looking beef curry. As you say it's not a sharer , but at least you can choose between rice or chips . Looks lovely mate, I'm starving now. 😮 ❤ A
The sun is shining where I am, sunny south coast! This looks lovely and your review is very tempting. We've got an Asda locally so I'm going to try one of these, their 'serving suggestion' of jasmine rice is appealing, I hope Asda sell some. Well done BFG.

Brilliant video as always. Cheers Gareth. Funny, I've been cooking steak and roast beef for years, but seen beef ribs in Sainsburys and never bought them as I thought they'd be no good. I'm changing my mind now!!
Great vid as usual, Whenever I get any thing like ribs in those thick plastic sachets, I pierce the packaging, put it in the microwave, pierced side up, and give 30sec or even a minute. This melts all the gravy etc so you can pour it all out, Like you said fat is flavour, why put it in the bin? Just a suggestion. Love your work!
Please try from Asda Aberdeen Angus burgers, not cheap but are worth every penny, if you cook them like me slowly ignore the times 😉 I always get them out of packaging and squeeze them flat before frying😊
Definitely going to try this, it’s normally pork ribs you get in restaurants but a short beef rib is far superior, so this home cooked one looks amazing…great review 👍
Oh yasss, that's for me! I used to go to a bar that had a Friday special, hot dogs with short rib chili (no beans), cheese, pickled onions and sour cream. Ever since, it's been a mad love affair with slow cooked ribs. I want some of those with jasmine rice and steamed sweet potatoes. Feed me, o keeper of the falling apart meat!
Can’t wait to try those ribs😋 (never had them before) Not a big lover of beef, but they look delicious with the sauce/gravy Thank you for all the hard work you do - traipsing around the supermarkets finding different foods, best prices etc… and then vlogging it out to us your fans on TH-cam I find it helpful as I usually end up buying the same things in Sainsburys or M&S week in week out. I hate food shopping .
Nice one Gareth! It makes me wonder, what a proper old school butcher would charge for the same cut of meat ? Looking good though! Cheers matey, your video's will NEVER get boring or old. Keep things going!
Is that actually possible in UK supermarkets now ? Are any foods marked as not that ? If they are not marked as specifically that then they probably are that anyway !
I often cook short ribs with a bbq sauce or honey mustard, never thought about doing them in a rendang sauce though. Guess what's on the next menu although I'll have to make my own version as there's no ASDA here. I've made my own take on some of the things you review so thanks for the great ideas, much appreciated.
It does look blooming good although £7 for two ribs is questionable! Maybe if there was another one or two in the box i say it's worth it. I know £7 isn't much but in this mad times we're in i wouldn't buy personally.
Gareth "I've been watching what I eat, let's just say that" We've all been watching what you eat for about 3 years 😂 I mean that in the kindest way, absolutely love the channel mate, so down to earth and one of the best & nicest TH-camrs for certain, I also love it when your parents are involved especially Christmas time, not far away 😂 All the very best! Would prefer to buy a piece of brisket and slow cook it myself. But these read meals are for convenience, and the price is relevent to the time and effort in producing it. Just love the Ohhhs and Ahhs as you express your joy in tasting the products.
Great review as always but for me personally it’s too much faffing around for 7 pounds.. cheaper getting ribs from Chinese takeout and more ribs but well done for trying these out 👍
Hi , maybe next time and it does sound like there'll be a next time, cook the meat meat side down in the sauce rather than the meat bit sticking upwards as that would dry it out a bit, really looked good though, could almost smell it through the screen.

Considering the cost of beef, and the labor/time to prepare short ribs, the price is worth it.
True, that's well worth it 👍
