"they're occupied militarily, we're occupied politically... by the same people" I think we have some real questions to ask ourselves 😬 I'm pretty sure we could find a better partnership with all the Arab countries rather than just Israel? Especially in a world that's becoming increasingly multipolar.

I am an Israeli and I respect this man. That being said, him saying "violence will not solve anything" at this level is akin to saying the same when Hitler has already invaded Poland in 1939. Unfortunately, sometimes you have no other choice left but to wipe out the enemy who clearly states out his goal to destroy you.
It should be remembered that the palestinians are being taught to hatred from kindergarten age. Little kids make plays showing them killing Jews. This is, in my opinion, an even bigger problem than Hammas itself. Germans went through de-nazification after WW2. What do we do witn the Gazah population, even if Hammas is completely obliterated? Left to their own devices, the people in Gazah would grow Hammas 2.0 in no time.

If you give people help and hope and admit your OWN wrongdoings (the Palestians AND the Israelis), most people WILL change over time. (Relative) Prosperity, safety and peace is an powerful motivator. The Germans DID change after WW2. Try to show empathy for the other side: The land of the Palestian people was taken after WW2 by Jewish settlers desperate for a safe home (which is a valid wish). In the last decades they were the ones who suffered the most under this conflict. Now they are ferchted on a small land and continously threatend and discriminated against. If you give them their own land, help to prosper and actual autonomy, the majority will calm down and be satisfied.

I think you're conflicting the root cause of the issue, Hitler's invasion wasn't based on a conflict created by oppression, killing Palestinians trying to get rid of Hama's will not work, it will only flame the fire of hatred, the root cause is what Palestinians suffer on daily occurrence.
Don't take my words for it, Nelsen Mandala himself described it as an apartheid worse than SA, maybe there is validty to that claim. Go and investigate it from the Palestinian's perspective, put yourself in their shoes and I mean it truly. Don't try to rebuttal me as I will not be reading it since I have no dog in the fight.
This is for you to overcome and begin to understand a perspective that's different to yours. I sincerely wish peace for everyone.

Palestinian fighters have kidnapped IDF Soldiers and Isreali civilians and brought them back to Gaza. But why is hamas using this tactic you ask? Its because they are hoping to exchange them for thousands of Palestinians in isreali jails. right now Isreal is holding over 5000 Palestinians including 170 CHILDREN AND 33 WOMEN in their jails where they face a series of extreme human rights violations and hamas has said they have enough isreali captives to free all of the prisoners. Because Palestinians know that in the eyes of Isreal and international community Isreali lives are far more valuable than Palestinians and this was proved in 2011 when a singular Israeli named Gilad shalit an IDF soldier was exchanged for 1027 Palestinian prisoners'. So if the world placed real value on Palestinian lives instead of allowing and cheering on Israel to occupy assault, imprison and kill Palestinians on a daily basis maybe the situation would be different.

Many don't have a choice, and Hamas is their last hope for any sort of protection. Israel has harsh restrictions on Palestinians leaving the country. If you look at a recent map of the two countries, you would also be able to see how geography aids Israel in their restrictions and why it is harder for Palestinians to leave. I know many Palestinians who hate Hamas, but can't speak out due to their violent nature and power. Many can't just leave because they dislike Hamas. As I said before, Hamas is their last hope for survival. The situation isn't as black and white as it seems from the outside.

Because you must be tolerant to be tolerant and be better than the people we all criticize. It is also hyperbole and a sweeping generalization to say that an entire people wants to do that (rape and murder). It’s simply not true. Everyone simply needs to live up to their own principles and be devoted to the Source of Knowledge by whatever name they know it by whether it’s Reason, Logic, Logos, YHVH, Elohim, Allah, Tao, Brahman, etc.
Those who reject the Source of Knowledge are fools.
Reason would have us tolerate and forgive, knowing that nothing is nothing (so nothing is truly dead and gone) and that all is one universally (general coherence - existential oneness) and that we all must ask for and give forgiveness to be truly rational, good, and coherent with God (Logic).
Does Logic throw a lightning bolt down at you for being wrong or even for being evil (egregiously incoherent)? No, you have surely been shown endless patience by the Universe and it’s Logic (YHVH).
The Logic of Perfect Understanding (God) is not the flawed and self incriminating logic of strict condemnation.
The logic of condemnation condemns even itself, while the Logic of Understanding understands and gives understanding to all including itself.
We must align with God (the Logic of Universal Comprehension, the Logic of True Understanding) and not with our corrupt and wicked nations who go around condemning their own image in the mirror.

Did you watch the whole video? I think the answer is in there if you think about it.
It starts with seeing other humans as humans. If you believe all the others rape and murder it will never be possible. The ones who commit violence are doing it exactly for that reason. They have been told to hate the other side their whole lives, and they don't see the other side as humans anymore. The antidote to all this is simply to listen to each other and to put yourself in the others shoes.

Some people in these comments clearly have not done any research on this topic. If you are confused about the situation, I recommend watching several videos explaining the history of the conflict between Palestine and Israel (multiple to clear bias) before watching this. It will give you a clearer understanding of what led to this horrible situation and it will also give perspective to his words. Please understand that this situation isn't just black and white, there are many different aspects and many mistakes made by both sides. Not everything is as it is seen on the news, nor is it just what has happened over the course of a few weeks. There is over 70 years of history. Educate yourself before speaking out.

Article 80 (called the Palestine clause). Rights for Jews to settle anywhere in Palestine west of the Jordan River are therefore guaranteed by the former NF which has now changed its name to the UN.
Egypt illegally conquered and occupied the Gaza Strip in 1948 when it attacked Israel. Jordan conquered, occupied and annexed the West Bank including Jerusalem illegally when it attacked Israel in 1948. Both of these countries then, according to international law, became illegal occupiers as they had no legal right to these territories.
After Egypt, Jordan and Syria launched hostilities against Israel during the 1967 Six Day War, Israel captured Gaza and the West Bank including Jerusalem.

Mountains of books can try to fill in the gaps. If there is one lesson history teaches us, it is that most conflicts that have longevity ate about those two things. Whether that conflict is on a local or international level. I don't disagree that using fact or even opinion is my preferred way to "debate".
