- This is the hymmnos RIG=VEDA from Ar Tonelico: Melody of Elemia sung by Noriko Mitose, who is Mir in this game! It was hard trying to find a picture of Mir and not Jacqli.. but success! This song was really easy to do, except for the end part, that was more difficult. Anyways enjoy!

@@seafoam6119 She's the canon route, I can't accept anything else. Cloche and Luca have their own denouement in their stories as they intertwine, but Mir has so much anger and mistrust built up that Croix is probably the only one (since Lyner kinda kicked her ass before he's out) who could accept all of her as she is without flinching.
No matter how many times I listen this, I will never get tired of it. 11/10 for song and lyrics
And in fact, Mir's grateful to Lyner and his party for having stopped her from having turned into a full-on genocidal maniac, and this song is proof of that. However, it also shows that no one should ever meddle with her stories if you don't want to end up in her blacklist. xD
This song has such a clear, but deep message. People should really think about those lyrics.
I just beaten Ar Tonelico, an amazing game even if it has clear faults. I would totally play 2 right now but not emotionally ready yet. I was light headed for 1/3 of my playthrough of this one by/close to tearing up.
Love how the game starts with this Hymmn and the final battle also ends with it.

This song is just...so powerful. I can just _see_ the tears running down Tastiella's cheeks as she finally gives in to death, blissfully sinking in the beautiful voice of the world's most powerful Reyvateil.
Twice, today, this song has made me feel brave and picked me out of a depression. This is beautiful.

I really love the trumpets/horns (whatever they are.) They really add a great depth to the music.

That was the best way to end the game after a boss fight like Mir with a song sung by her I tell ya if it wasn't for the soundtrack that comes with ar tonelico I probably would have never played this game

I'm not saying he had no reason to be like that. It's the fact that Shurelia sent HIM down to the Lower World where treatment of Reyvateils was still similar to Mir's War. She practically raised Lyner, and to send Lyner down to a place that has a high chance of pushing the BB too many times? Basically, Lyner has so many issues I'm scared BECAUSE he hasn't broken yet.

The GOOD thing is this song is VERY VERY touched my heart, the bad thing is non of the AT 2/3 BGM or songs can beat the musics in AT1, and the SAD thing is only few good musics produced after AT 1..........

It's funny how THAT is the reason she resents him. Not the fact he stopped her from taking over Sol Ciel and creating her Reyvateil paradise, oh no, it's the fact he messed with her script that she has resentment towards him. Mir and her scripts are SERIOUS BUSSINESS.

This hymnos basically cemented my resolve to get the Mir, oh I'm sorry, "Jacqli" ending in Ar Tonelico 2. And I never regretted that decision for one second!
You mean Jakuri. "Jacqli" was no more than one of the multiple horrible changes NISA made when they pseudo-localized the game.
And yet that's how the name ended up becoming in the final translated product anyway, so yes, I meant "Jacqli".
Considering said "translation" has been rendered obsolete with the relocalization, I beg to differ. Additionally, them using a wrong name for their sad attempt at a translation doesn't make it any less wrong both in intention and pronunciation, as discussed by Mir herself on how that name came to be in the official site: artonelico.wikia.com/wiki/ARM_Backup/Ar_Portal_translation/Toukousphere/Issue_73

Not in this case. What Mir needed was sympathy and compassion at that moment, not a lover. Plus, as it was shown after the first game, she still has quite some blood with Lyner due to him having interfered with the development of one of her stories.

It has the intro of EXEC_RIG=VEDA/. but it's not actually a mashup, it's Voices Of Paired Lives, sung by Akiko Shikata, whom does Misha's songs.
It's unfortunate, but this song is truth. If parents of a child hate a race, chances are the child will too. If a parent hurts others or their own family, the children will most likely do the same. It's a sinful world out there.

i agree with you, but you can deny this fact: Croix is ALOT better than Lyner, he only choose a of the heroines and her ending with Croix is the Best ending of the game( in my humble opinion of course :) )
She is 349 years old at that point, and she was 31 when she was sealed, so she is anything but a child right now.

"Mir" also means "world" in Russian (Mir vo vsiom mire = peace all over the world). But in japanese version of the game her name is written and pronounced as ミュール(Myuur(u)), not ミル(Mir(u)) or ミール(prolonged i), so it's probably a coincidence. An interesting one, though.

His personality had to be like that, considering all the things he went through during his life and the kind of job he had at start of the game. And besides, it isn't as if he didn't develop at all during the course of the story.
we all know Lyner is the most powerful character in Ar Tonelico series because he and his companion beat Mir the strongest reyvateil in existence
Any of the Reyvateils could leave him in ridicule, as he needs to establish Harmonics with them to use all of his abilities.
And that's without taking in account that other characters have fought against larger threats: Aoto has fought against the planet itself, and the Ar nosurge protagonist has even fought against interdimensional monsters.
***** Tell that to my "berserk Lyner" with maxed out Str and 1def. He roughly hits at 15k with a normal attack (granted he takes about 30k dmg with 1hit himself) He basicaly OHKO any Reyvatels that aren't guarded.
Kuonluw Tell that to the light novels, as they show that while all of the protagonists are strong on their own right, they can't take on everything: case in point, Lyner got himself almost killed twice due to confronting a group of Reyvateils alone, and due to forcing himself to fight Ar tonelico's Beta-6D in the Binary Field without knowing exactly how to deal with it, until almost the end.
Furthermore, setting-wise none of the protagonists have the privilege of getting their strengths boosted to ridiculous levels due to broken set-ups made by the players: the equipment and enhancement systems are considered no more than gameplay mechanics as far as the world setting is concerned.
The thing you failed to take into account here is that the original comment is talking about Lyner in the game, not about the Light Novels.
Nope, the original comment assumes to be taking everything that is canon in the Ar tonelico universe in account, not just the game.

Maka aka Jakuri did this song, in Ar tonelico she found Croix who seem to fit in this profile of a normal hero. Coincidence!? I don't think so! Ar tonelico is like Kingdome hearth or Bioshock, they made a lot of unreleated only for a few fact) storylines to gives us a partial idea, then they brng a "Revelating game" that will hook up tp them and they finish us whit multiples platfor games that have figment of the real story.

This is 10 years too late but I wanna answer you anyway. This plays directly after the final boss, sung by said final boss herself. It's both an ending and a new beginning for the character.

And Lyner wasn't? I found Lyner the most seriously warped protagonist I've ever encountered. Forget Colette of Tales of Symphonia and her obvious generational brainwashing, Lyner...there are very few reasons why anyone is THAT nice. NO ONE is THAT nice. Notice that Lyner NEVER gets mad. The most angry he ever got was when Misha and Aurica dissed themselves.
And then there's his Berserk Button. Someone so much as pokes a Reyvateil too hard and he overkills them. Psychological scarring, much?
its more like he grew up in the upper world(Platina), shielded from real problems of the lower world. not to mention he aspired to be tower administrator guardian, so its understandable he gets ticked off if any reivateil is harmed in any way since he was brought up to respect them. other than that he was just naive like a child. not warped, innocent.
