You are absolutely amazing. I learned so much from this one video alone. Procreate is very confusing for beginners but you explained this beautifully ❤ thank you!
Frankly, the work is excellent, and it really deserves to follow up with you, we are honored with your future work, and we wish you permanent progress 🌹
This was super helpful! Thank you! Doing all my digital media myself as I’m just starting up a small business and this was so so helpful. So thank you!
what if you want to do a circle canvas but you want to put an object poking out of the circle like say an arm like a portrait of yourself but you want one of your arms doing the peace sign outside of the circle
Thank you so much! This was so helpful. I had the same issue as some others and got a square, instead of a circle when I tapped. The program must have been updated to have more brush options. I kept selecting “hard brush” but when I scrolled down, there was a “hard airbrush” option, that gave me the circle. Not sure if that is helpful for anyone else.
Totally missed some steps: how did the program know you wanted a circle and not a square?; How was it able to choose black? What was the point of choosing a specific brush? Sorry but all the views are from watching the video over and over trying to figure out the technique. I'm using the newest iPad pro 2020 that looks exactly like yours. I assume Procreate is the same as well. Incredibly frustrating.
Not sure if I understand your question accurately, but the cross section of the brush she chose in the airbrushing tab is a circle.. That's why when she tapped without dragging a circle appears. You can choose any colour and clip mask and you'll get the same result. You can also experiment with different brushes to mask a picture according to the shape of the brush or for example if you want a square, you can draw a square and fill it and put it's layer under the picture and mask like in the video. She's just using a brush instead of drawing a circle.
Juliet Oluwatowoju idk if it’s still relevant for you but have you made sure to tap when you’re on the new layer and not on the picture? This way it actually should work :)
I'm still lost after watching this several times :/ Hm... My clipping mask just shows me a black outline. I tried dragging that layer in several places to see if it'd make a difference ... nothing.
I watched 4 other videos (for close to an hour) trying to achieve this outcome. In less than 3 minutes you explained it perfectly. Thank you!

great thanks...my picture was too big, so instead of touching the screen for the circle, I just had to draw a circle... worked a treat

When I tap I don’t get a circle, it fills the whole page. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.

Thank you do much
Thanks for the helpful straightforward steps!!
THANK YOUU
So this is great but I must be doing something wrong because when I resize the circle the edges are blurry - what size canvas are you using please?
Thanks! This saved me a headache.
Thank You this helped so much!
SO helpful! thank you!
I'm still lost after watching this several times :/ Hm... My clipping mask just shows me a black outline. I tried dragging that layer in several places to see if it'd make a difference ... nothing.
I tried doing the same thing and for some reason its not creating the circle for some reason
Very helpful, thanks
New here but when I tap after selecting the brush, a small black circle appears. I can't seem to make it bigger.
It’s due to the brush settings and canvas size. You can just select the layer and manually increase its size. :)
Helpful :)
Thanks
ty
Why is my black circle all fuzzy on the edge?
Are you using the same brush as in the tutorial or a different one? The brush matters here because of its maximum size and how it looks when enlarged
@@TPLteam i was using the hard airbrush
Its not working for me
It’s not a cylinder, it’s a circle.
procreate, so complicated, why make it so complicated?
It doesn’t fuckin work for iPad Air 4
That's a mask, not a crop. Good tutorial though.
Correct! Most people new to design won’t know that term. ;)
Thanks for sharing these tips
Thank you so much!
