I'm kinda impressed by how well that window screen worked! I ended up attaching some bug screen into the door card and around the seals of the window 😅
I'm surprised how well it worked as well. Especially during the rain. I plan on making my own window vent with a fan. It should look something like this but with some mesh of course subimods.com/products/billetworkz-rear-window-vents-w-grey-mesh-2022-2023-wrx-1?variant=43145369190575¤cy=USD&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADpHzNJd2mLMNl7A9RTJDR-W4kEtG&gclid=CjwKCAjw_4S3BhAAEiwA_64YhqaU9YFDMak1LmsJ1a4gJ2f2rBEYt97Ap1NoNmcUFpt_zsLFsIKZLxoCzPYQAvD_BwE
@@HondaFit4Adventure ohh that's pretty cool! I think that a built in fan will help soo much! I just clipped a fan onto the metal bits of the headrest and it doesn't do much lol. Can't wait to see it!
Hey, HF4A! I'm a big fan of the channel! I'm curious if you know anything about newer fits' event data recorder or any other ways that the car might collect driving data. I drive a 2020 LX, and I'm curious how much of my driving data is being tracked, and if it's being sold by Honda to 3rd parties. That could affect my insurance rates down the road (pun intended). I assume if they were going to pull the data, they would probably do it at the dealership during service. Do you have any insight or advice about this about what I could do to keep the data to myself?
I believe the EDR's only record up to 30seconds worth of data, mainly to reconstruct what happens after a crash. Once Honda tried denying my warranty claim by saying that I "Over Revved" my engine, but Honda could not produce any documentation to show such a claim. Honestly I'd be more worried about carrying a cell phone on me while driving. Google or Apple record every movement we make and if we blindly accept end user license agreements from any apps, we don't know what data is being collected and where it is being sent. To my surprise my radar detector that is Bluetooth compatible stated in the end user license agreement "that it may collect data and send it to 3rd parties" It looks like I wont being using that app. If your shopping around for car insurance and the insurance company wants you to use an app for awhile to rate your driving or potentially give you a discount say "No" They will share this data to other companies. Everyone I know whos used one of those insurance apps to get a discount or get a new insurance provider has had there rates go up.
