“Don’t worry about my car… “ hahaha, I cringed for you
@@IndependenceOverland if it made a dent, it’d be a cool memory of this adventure 🫶
Woman, get those damn rocks the hell off my hood! Just say what you’re thinking anyway:
Dude, the effort that went into this video is amazing. Quality work like always.
Thanks for checking it out buddy. Getting this filmed and flipped in time for Halloween stressed me tf out 🤣. But it turned out pretty good I think.
This is my favorite kind of camping/overland TH-cam content. Killer production. Great story. Super intriguing. Loved it all. A+
Thanks for taking the time man! These types of projects are, as I’m sure you agree, way more fun to work on. It helps break up the adventure stories that sometimes feel like they repeat themselves a bit.
Excellent editing, cinematography, and narrative. I love these hour-long adventure features you guys put out.
Absolutely epic! Amazing story telling and epic drone shots. These video's just keep getting better and better! Thank you for sharing this with all of us!
3 mins in this is already epic. Great vibes. Thanks for making and sharing this Tyler!
You're an excellent storyteller and filmmaker, Tyler. You set yourself apart from other channels in that you have a deep respect for this Earth and the creatures on it (including people). I can tell you're a kind soul, and it's a fucking shame you don't have more subscribers. I have a feeling you will though, in time. Have you ever considered a trip to the Appalachians? Nantahala and the Great Smoky Mountains are quite something. You dig into the background of places you visit, so you may find hiking part of the Appalachian trail mesmerizing.
Also a question about your FJ if I may. Does your FJ have the "whine?" Can't say I've heard it in your videos. I've researched this and have seen people tear their FJ's apart trying to find the culprit. I've read people saying even new 4Runners can have it. I've seen guesses such as idler pulleys (not it), alternator (not it), grounding issue, transmission pump, and chain tensioner. You're a tech, so wondering if you have insight on this. My gut says trans pump.
Awesome comment! Thank you Dylan! We have considered a trip that direction, many times. I’m not sure when it will happen, but it will happen! It looks incredible out there.
As for the Fj, no unusual noises other than how loud it is from being a modified Toyota 😂. I’ve never heard the whine your talking about with mine. I will say though, probably next year I’ll put a new engine and transmission in the Fj. She’s smoking and leaking and I want to trust it again.
How do you not have triple digit subs yet? Your videos of some of the best out there.
Found out about skinwalker ranch from bedtime stories and really got into the lore of it. From London Uk so watching this beautiful Utah scenery looks so beautiful. I’d go there just to enjoy the landscape let alone the ranch itself.
It was really beautiful out there! I'll go back at some point.
awesome adventure! of course we are not alone, and being visited and observed by others! i'm look forward to visiting this place, so THANK YOU!
Thanks for taking the time to check this one out! I am quite proud of this episode!
The story of Skinwalker Ranch is a strange one. Cool trip to go explore it. Lets meetup on the trail to go on one of these adventures in the future! I took the leap and am currently converting my Jeep build to a full alu-cab setup. Will be ready to go in the new year.
That would be so cool man! I can’t share secrets of my new build yet, but I’ll be ready to rock for 2024!
Cool to see you comment here Jeven, I’ve learned a lot from your videos and your classes.
Thanks for taking the time man.
@@IndependenceOverland Lets take our new builds out when they're ready. I'm based out of SoCal so message me on IG or twitter and we can plan something
This is a fantastic video, and I love the thought and effort that's gone into the story and editing.
Thanks Rob I appreciate it! I'll make sure about buy some of those Glue Treads from you soon, and I'll make my buddy do the same 😂
I truly enjoyed this video - like many said, absolutely epic!!! Thank you so much for the history about Skinwalker ranch...I had no idea. Now I want some of those night vision binoculars
Yeah it’s a pretty weird place. After a bit of research, it becomes even weirder I assure you! Thanks for watching and commenting! 🙏
Expedition overland better watch out, you’re making content just as good at a fraction of the cost and as a one man band! Great video, can’t wait for you to go full time
WOW! Home run! Great footage, story telling and editing. That landscape was amazing!!
Thankyou!!!!!
I just discovered your channel and it's GREAT!! Will be keeping an eye out for your latest releases! Thank you and stay safe!
So glad you reposted the latest video of Moab trail closures (2 weeks after this video). 300 miles closed and I’ve been dreaming of that spot since I road mtn bikes, now jeeps cause I’m old. I’ve been thinking about taking off for two weeks. To Moab. It sucks when people chew up the land. Don’t chew up the land, people.
So much I want to say about this video. It was ALL up my ally. I've been following the Skinwalker Ranch story since right before the TV show came out. Very fascinating and freaky. I've had my own weird experiences in the outdoors. My one for-sure UFO sighting happened outside of Moab while camped at the following coordinates, looking NW over the canyon: 38.54152, -109.92390. Although that might be one of the areas affected by the new road closures out there :/ I will be watching for anything from you regarding those closures.
In addition to all of that I must say you do a great job putting together these films. You and TSTN are the best at off-road videos. If you ever need an overlanding buddy to go do weird shit like this with, I'm your guy 👽
I for sure saw a 90 degree turn off something I saw was a satellite in Moab once. 4 of us watched it. The turn was so perfect its like it was on rails. I appreciate the words and your photography is next level man!
Oh wow-my dad was friends with Bob Bigelow. Forgot he had an aerospace company. Awesome episode!
Man that was a awesome video. Subscribed and hit the bell notification!
First time here ... Loving this style of your videos. Its not just camping and off road .. theres some history and a story. Keep up the amazing job! Subscribed 👍
Thanks man! I’ll be doing a lot more of these in the future, they just take lots of time to put together. Welcome to the channel and thank you! 🙏
Just discovered you both. Interesting travels, great camera work and great job guys. Not bad, not bad at all!
Thanks for checking it out! I plan to do one of these "weird" types of vidoes once a year or so. They are nice to break up the type of content!
I don’t ….. like…… scary movies, videos - you know what even the talk! DONT LIKE IT CAUSE I BELIEVE IN. So I respect it out of fear!! THIS VIDEO WAS AMAZING! The facts shown, the dark drive, the background music/tracks. I had to stop and get some cookies milk water and a blanket lol!!!!! AMAZING !!!!!!!!
Excellent video! You have an uncanny ability to make the viewer seem like they are right there with you, in the dark, starring at the stars.
This was really cool!!! Watched it on Halloween 👽🛸 That night vision was cool AF!!!
Loved this!! A story behind the Overland Adventure.. I grew up watching X files.. I love this stuff
I am right there with you! Me and my dad used to geek out on X-files, and at Hollywood Video I somehow managed so secretly rent ghost and paranormal documentaries that I definitely should not have been watching at that age 😂. I have followed these topics since I was like 6 years old.
Awesome video! You're in my Top 2 favorite channels on TH-cam! I'm an FJ owner as well. I completely get your obsession
Paranormal, Wikipedia... "Events are purported phenomena described in popular culture, folk, and other non-scientific bodies of knowledge, whose existence within these contexts is described as being beyond the scope of normal scientific understanding"....With that said I enjoyed the video. These sites always fascinate me in that there is always some amount of truth ( ie you cant prove a negative or absence of evidence) from the teller of the story. Great camping site and awesome video.
Slow clap! 👏 👏👏👏👏 From the beginning to the end. I enjoyed every second. 🙌
Thanks for checking it out man! This one when pretty enjoyable to research and put together.
Really enjoyed this adventure. The quality of your video is outstanding. My wife and I visited the basin back in September and had a great time. We had a PVS-14 and didn't see anything other than planes, satellites, and falling stars when we visited bottle hollow a couple of nights. Still had a great time exploring the heavens!
Your videos are always the best… you seem to take your time and put out great content !! Keep up the good work !!
Thanks man! A lot more coming soon. I flashed forward to the cold of autumn for this Halloween themed video, but I have to rewind now because I have a whole lot of summer content still coming.
Thanks for watching, I appreciate you 🙏
If your ever in Arkansas look me up and I’ll take you flying…. Haha, I’m better at that than overlanding
@@firepro329flying?! That sounds so cool! I just might have to take you up on that!
Neat seeing a WilderNest still in use in the wild.
I sold and installed several back in the late 80s.
Enjoyed this production very much.
Thank you for watching! Yeah he scored that thing for really cheap, I think 800 bucks. Wildernest was ahead of their time. I believe his is a 1992 model, if memory serves.
Fantastic video! Amazing work!
Thanks for coming by and checking it out! Turned out great, but I am glad the edit is over! haha
WoW!!!! 🤩 Your storytelling and videography is so good. Nice work!! I want to come adventure with you three next summer. 💫
Thanks Alex! This was was a toooon of work to put together! Lets get out there and go on an adventure!
Watching on my lunch break! And gonna watch it again on the big tv once home.
Sweet! I might be going to Sedona in 2 weeks for 2 reasons. Overlandiing and sky watching. Hopefully stop by Bradshaw Ranch. Wish I had some night vision goggles by then. Great video!
I just learned about Bradshaw. Let me know if it is really guarded by patrols. I have heard its pretty locked down these days.
Turned out awesome man! Glad the devices worked out for you. You use the phone mounts better than I ever do. Haha
Very grateful for your help man! 🙏
I didn’t recall this being your account before right now. I appreciate you tuning in!
Might I suggest getting a star app. My favorite is Star Walk 2. That way you can tell what area you are looking at. Example, at time 51.24, you are looking at the center of Sagittarius. Group of stars know as the tea pot. I thought I saw an odd star, but a quick look found your equipment made a star look brighter than I'm used to. Love the video.
We actually used the app several times throughout the weekend to pick out some of what we were looking at.
Nice. Just did that trail behind Factory Butte a couple of weeks ago. Absolutely beautiful and incredible. 👏🤩
This is epic camping spot with the mountain as back cround out of this world thestars at night wow wow and ja drone footage epic great content greetings from South Africa
Your really hitting your stride doing videos. All aspects are coming together very nicely, I can only imagine how much time your spending making the videos. I've lived in Utah for over fifty years and I just learned of skin Walker ranch o couple of years ago. Spent many weekends in the mountains above it, didn't know the stories around the area. I'll definitely pay more attention to the sky out of curiosity.
Thanks man! This one took somewhere in the ballpark of 50 hours to edit! 🥵
It’s a pretty interesting plot of land, you can go down a serious rabbit hole on the subject. I barely scratched the surface!
Thanks for watching! 🙏
@@IndependenceOverland
I'm surprised your channel isn't growing faster, I'm sure it's difficult working full time and trying to fit this in on the weekends. Have you reached out to any other TH-camrs that have bigger channels, to setup a trail ride too help grow both of your channels? Just a thought I like your content allot, really appreciate the fact that your honest with what you do.
Can't wait to do all of this in my FJ
im not sure if i had my tv set to 4k, but that drone footage was STUNNING!
Yeah these were some of my best shots so far. The light being so soft this time of the year sure helps a lot!
Awesome! In the beginning of the video around the Factor Bute area, there is a "glass mountain" a little mount completely made out of that crystal stuff.
its so cool!, look on your Gaia map its next to the Sun and Moon Temple close to the factory bute@@IndependenceOverland
It’s in Cathedral Valley in capital reef national Park. I’ve seen it.
I just had a two week overlandy trip around southern utah last month. Amazing trip anyway, but outside of Arches NP, my gf and i were sitting in our camp and enjoying the stars when a strange orb of light started cruising through some of the clouds in the sky. At first in a predictable line like an airplane. Then it made some aggressive moves staying in the clouds. Then it disappeared. This all happened in less than a minute. Really tripy.
Nice Ive spent a bit too much time in that area and shit gets weird Fast
I think Skin walker ranch is super cool. Great adventure. One day I will do the same thing with my fj cruiser. The fj is a special vehicle. I see your alucab rtt chips paint as well. But I have to say, it’s amazing..
Haha yeah the Alucab is pretty chipped up. There was a batch of them that had this issue, apparently the newer models have a more robust coating on them. Gives it character though, doesn’t bother me at all!
@@IndependenceOverland I tried to keep mind protected but it chips as well. But I have to admit it’s amazing.. Keep up with the great stories. I love watching them..
Such a cool video, thank you for sharing. I shoot a lot of astrophotography in Bortle Class 1 skies in Idaho. I have never looked at the night sky through night vision. I will have to check that out! ✨✨
It is soooooo cool. Its amazing how fast you will convince yourself you need to spend thousands of dollars on a set!
Hi Tyler! I'm new to your channel and have watched a bunch of you videos now. Great content and I really enjoy your story telling. Is that your voice during the video voice overs?
Soundtrack is amazing
Thank you! The sound design probably takes more time than anything!
Why did I have to watch this at night in my deceased grandparents house that everyone always said is haunted!!!
It's the indigenous history that holds truth. That history energy frequency and vibration is displaced into the natural environment. The negative blowback is from trespassing on these sacred grounds.
Love the video. Just please don't shine a laser pointer at a plane. Its federal my friend.
None were shined at planes intentionally, I know its a big no no
Great video as always! You will find your answers in the bible Gen. 6. Be careful messing with this stuff, but know Jesus and put your faith, hope and trust in him. He is THE way. keep it up! Also blurry creatures podcast would be something to check out if you or anyone who reads this are curious.
Thanks for taking the time to watch! I will check that podcast out!
Cool video lore is pretty close to spot on
@@-Duck-53thanks man! I’ll have more stuff on the weirder side coming in the future. If I can ever pull off doing this full time, I have some cool documentaries I want to do that would certainly be of interest to you.
When I was in the Army I would lay in my sleep system staring at the night sky thru nods, it was my favorite part of NTC. If anyone gets the chance it’s worth it.
34:15 what’s crazy is NVG prices hasn’t really dropped in the last 2 decades like many other electronics.
Yeah the tubes are pretty hard to make, and is the majority of the cost.
What night vision camera and model are you guys using?
TNVC PVS-14 White Phosphor with the TNVS phone adapter, filmed on IPhone
Spooky
I like what you're doing everything, but if you quit sometimes swing up the North Dakota North Valley city, and no, there's something out every night or every other night, and it's not the stars.
The first time a lot of ancient civilizations saw an eclipse they probably started sacrificing people thinking the gods were mad at them 🫤
Do you happen to have a link or can send me something on those night vision binoculars? I want to get some.
Don’t chew up the land, people.
Please respect it. I see too many other people on TH-cam messing up land. Protect this land and we can all enjoy it.
i have been there, no matter how you feel its odd how it gets treated when your there. often when your near there you will see armed patrols.
You need some plugs for your tier's i've plugged side holes so many times it's not funny and yes you can plug a hold on the side I have it may have a slow leak but at least it still works if you don't have a spare...
Ive got plugs, but I work on a fleet of commercial trucks and side wall damage freaks me out due to things I have seen happen. I do plan on having some Glue Treads around for these kinds of scenarios in the future though. I would trust something over the entire gash more than I would over just putting plugs in it. He had a 6 hour drive home through mountain passes, it just seemed best to loan him a tire.
If you go back I would love to join you
If we do, it’ll be several years. Once the channel gets a large enough following, I’ll do my best to get permission to actually visit the ranch itself.
SW Ranch is clowned on by us locals here in Utah. There is nothing, and I mean NOTHING special about it. In fact I spent most of my youth working the fields less than a mile away. Brandon Fugal is a mega rich developer that bought the property and registered it as guess?? The license from Utah is Entertainment/Amusement Park 🤣. Most of us locals here in the basin are negatively impacted by the property going viral.
Are you suggesting the Government might be spending tax dollars on total BS?! I can't believe the words I am reading!
@@IndependenceOverland Lol probably, what is more likely is the rumors of the new Area 51 down in the old mines around Moab 🤣
People hear thunder and blame it on underground bases these days. @@MountainHobbler
@@IndependenceOverland after a lifetime of driving empty 2 lane highways I am just glad I've never been probed 👽
Awesome editing and content! There are way closer places to camp to the ranch. In fact I believe you can camp almost on top of the Mesa. I know the owner of Blind Frog Ranch close by and plan on camping up there next year!
I'd have left her out there the second she put those rocks on the hood of your rig. Wtf? Have SOME respect. That was the most disrespectful thing I've seen in a while.. clueless
She accidentally dropped a rock, chill. People I love don’t get treated poorly because of a scratch on a truck hood. Especially on a truck that spends most of its time around rocks.
This old Toyota has 100x more dings and scratches from just driving it.
@IndependenceOverland I get it that it gets dinged but that was just lazy and a complete lack of respect and common sense.
Your Philosophy is basically saying that if I'm in a parking garage and I get out of my car because I parked to close and smack a older car and dent it I can just walk away because it's old and there's other dents?
It shows true character, I honestly do like the work YOU do.
@IndependenceOverland it wasn't an accident. She put 2 handfuls of jaged rocks on the hood... tons of people noticed it and I'm not the only comment
I salute you guys for the effort.but i would stick with overlanding. Repetitive informations.
How about I stick to what I want to do, not what you want me to do. Thanks for the shitty comment. Bye 👋
