I Have an ECM Synchronika. Good machine for sure, but not perfect. Mine came with a problem: lever getting down completely when pouring espresso, stopping extraction after few seconds half of the time. The machine was brand new. Had to send it back two times to the shop. I wrote to ECM and they got back with a very ridiculous answer saying they valued my feedback and were sharing this info with their R&D department… and when I told them I was not impressed with such a response to a client who was having a problem with their product, they did not even dare to respond… this issue with the lever came back after few months. Hello. Why you didnt use brands like laspaziale s2? or breville, cimbali, la marzocco linea mini or micra, simoneli and other brands? For example, is synrinzica the best dual boiler and is there another model that is not as good as this one?
Hi mr_k, We carefully select products we feature. For the $$ I do consider the Synchronika the best overall machine in it's class. That does not mean it's the right choice for everyone
@@Wholelattelovepage @@Wholelattelovepage i see your videos about best dual boiler and best heat exchangers. best choice is ecm synchronika and mechanika max, but they have one problem. too much time for heat up. like 20 -25 min. for home users this time is much and most people like me, every time who want eat esspreso , cant wait 20 25 min for heat up. its boring .Can you suggest me a machine as good as Synchronika and mechanika with less heat up time?
@@mr_knight4701 The simple solution to have the Synchronika ready on your schedule is to use a properly rated appliance outlet timer. Use one with WiFi and you can turn machine on/off remotely. The Mechanika Max has built in programmable on/off times. Unfortunately, all machines at this prosumer level require ~20 minutes for full heat up. Marc
@@Wholelattelovepage Thank you. My last question is, for a home user who eat Just a few coffees a day, are two boiler models better or heat exchanger? And the difference between these models is only in temperature stability and the number of shots it can in short time? Are they different in terms of coffee quality?
What kind of temperature stability have you observed on the Crem One? I haven't gotten to open mine up but I've read a couple reviews of people who complained about temperature instability due to HX? I know you often comment on their stability within a certain range based on your testing in reviews, and i was curious if you had these results for the Crem One. Thanks!
Hi LLTD, To be clear, the Crem One Profiler is a dual boiler machine with the brew boiler fed by a heat-exchange section within the steam boiler. That setup results in excellent temperature stability as new water entering the brew boiler is preheated. While all dual boiler machines have excellent temperature stability in normal use, the Crem One Profiler is one of the best E61 machines we've tested. Marc
@@Wholelattelovepage Glad to hear that! I had heard it was good in this area and then saw one or two users saying they had real issues and ended up returning the machines. I wonder if they were having other issues like a defective PID or something. I'm really excited to use my new machine and see this temp stability for myself!

Been on the fence to get a nicer/beefier espresso machine. Loved my Gaggia Pro for these 6-7 years, but ready a for a duel-boiler + pre-infusion. Really dig the Lelit Bianca v3 and the ECM Sync. Wow.
Hi DM, If you have not already, have a look at the Profitec Drive. It's a Synchronika under the hood with a bunch of new features like programmable active and passive pre-infusion, time of day on/off and more. The Lelit is a fine machine but you may appreciate the more refined finishing of the Drive and it's another notch higher on the Synchronika. www.wholelattelove.com/products/profitec-drive-dual-boiler-espresso-machine?variant=41122874982454 Marc
Hi c, Well, they are all excellent machines. Point was to show a range of price points and capabilities. If price no object I'd go with the ECM Synchronika as best overall. Marc
Hi! What about Rocket Cinquantotto R? You don't future rocket machines in your videos anymore? Does Rocket Cinquantotto R have problems? How does it compare to ECM synchronica? I would be grateful for your comment.
Hi s, We have featured the R Cinquantotto in past videos like this one: th-cam.com/video/Xjjzw7kMCU0/w-d-xo.html It's a very good machine. Here in US, the 2 machines are about the same price. With that in mind the Synchronika has larger boilers and higher max steam boiler pressure. It's also less complex internally for higher expected reliability and easier servicing. The finishing details and trimming of the Synchronika are a little nicer. I especially like its lever operated valves and angled portafilters. The Synchronika can do line pressure pre-infusion when plumbed to water line. The Cinquantotto cannot. Marc
It’s just a real pity the ECM Synchronika doesn’t come in the brushed stainless steel finish without all the AMG branding and bits. Would just love this machine in a non mirrored finish
It does come with a regular chrome version. Contact your local dealer. I have one since 2017 , been using it everyday for 6 years, ECM Synchronika no issues, very reliable.
@@Fenom60 I went for the ECM Mechanika Slim VI Heritage which has a brushed satin finish and black side panels. There wasn’t any option for non mirrored finished steel unfortunately. I’m happy with mine though as I don’t use the milk frother much

@@Wholelattelovepage Can’t wait!! If it is at all possible to include a comparison of back to back shot time on the Drive, it would be really appreciated.
Hey t, It comes down to personal preference. Internally, if the valve is sprung the mechanical operation is very similar so no real difference in reliability. some users prefer less user movement required to operate lever valves. Marc
Hey George, Rocket did not make the list this year. The R Cinquantotto (R58) has been in our best dual boilers in past years. Rocket is big in the cycling community! Marc

@@soumynonareverse7807 Most of the machines in the video are rotary pump and plumbable. Silvia Pro X is not and uses 2 vibration pumps. I guess it depends on what is important to you and what makes a machine "better". The finishing quality is nicer on the most of these machines while I consider the Pro X a bit more utilitarian. If it's a low price that's important then the Pro X has one compared to most dual boilers.
@@soumynonareverse7807 The Pro X gets a lot of love from devoted Silvia fans. There was a time when the original Miss Silvia was one of a few options for higher level home espresso. In an interesting side note, Whole Latte Love was responsible for making the original Silvia available to general public. About 20 years ago the Silvia was a gift to Rancilio vendors and not for sale. We saw it at a Dallis Bros. Roasters in NYC and told Rancilio there was a market for the machine and started selling. My thoughts... Given the choice between the 2 machines I'd take the Pro 300. I think the build and finish quality is a bit nicer on the 300. Internally, the 300 is a simpler design with a single pump vs. 2 pumps in the Pro X. It's the only machine I'm aware of with 2 vibe pumps under the hood. For water level in the reservoir the Pro X has a unique tube that uses air pressure generated by water level for sensing. That's not necessarily a bad thing but very unique and perhaps a bit more complex than the magnetic float in the Pro 300 or conductivity sensing used in other machines. My #1 pet peeve with all Silvia's including the Pro X is the drip tray. It's small and you kind of have to lift it out of the machine for emptying and due to its size you'll be doing that a lot. I do like the high and visible placement of the display and controls on the Pro X. They're down low on the Pro 300. Plus the Pro X has some extra functions like automated boiler draining and time programmable pre-infusion. Hope that helps! Marc
Because it’s a good entry dual boiler but Bianca is pretty much superior in every way. Without a doubt going for an entry priced dual boiler it’s a good machine. I think MaraX and Elizabeth comes pretty close in price.
Hoe about the other brands like Bezzera, Quick Mill, Rancilio and Rocket. These are fully neglected. It's always all about Profitec, Profitec and once more Profitec.
The rest are garbage! Lol To be honest though these machines are not worth their price Their are Sooooo overpriced that u have to be a fool or Just love thr hobby, maybe am both i have the synchronika but you definitely Dont need it to make great Coffee
Hi d, Thanks for the question. We based selections on a number of factors including feedback from customers and our machine techs. Unfortunately we have very little feedback on that machine. @@Wholelattelovepagehey Marc do you know when the Elizabeth will be restocked? Its still the machine that hits all my wishlists and relatively affordable.
It's always Profitec, Profitec and once more Profitec. And the Profitec Go is so overhyped all over TH-cam. For me the ECM Classika is a nice choice. Compact in size, reasonable price, E61 grouphead, stainless steal boiler, PID, the vibration pump is rather quiet, no hoses in the water reeservoir, high end finish and making a delicious cup of espresso.
Hi JJ, Thanks for the comment. The Classika is a very well made and detailed machine with extra finishing touches. Incidentally, Profitec and ECM are sister companies. Much like Toyota/Lexus with ECM being the high line. The machines share a lot of internal components. Marc

You guys should make a fast heat up time espresso machine guide. E61 brew groups are no go for me due to the heatup time.
Hi P, Bezzera machines with their BZ group are ready to brew in
What kind of temperature stability have you observed on the Crem One?
@@LordLewsTheDragonhow is the stability?
Thinking of purchasing a CREM One 2b.
@@MrZeroNegative I ordered mine but have been traveling for business. If I remember this comment in another couple weeks after I have had some opportunity to test it for a bit I will try and let you know 😎
Been on the fence to get a nicer/beefier espresso machine.
The Lelit is a fine machine but you may appreciate the more refined finishing of the Drive and it's another notch higher on the Synchronika. www.wholelattelove.com/products/profitec-drive-dual-boiler-espresso-machine?variant=41122874982454
Marc
The Crem looks amazing. There's a part of me that misses the Expobar brand name though.
So which one is the best?
Marc
@@Wholelattelovepage Thank you for your reply.
I’m happy with mine though as I don’t use the milk frother much
Was wondering if we might be getting a video on the Profitec Drive and it’s new features compared to the Profitec pro 700? I’d like to upgrade from my QM to a dual boiler rotary pump beast (if I can sell the QM that is)
Hey ozpain, You will be getting a video on the Drive! It's a very impressive machine. We love the updated PID, quick steam lever valves and more. Until the video is completed here's more info: www.wholelattelove.com/products/profitec-drive-dual-boiler-espresso-machine

@@Wholelattelovepage
Can’t wait!! If it is at all possible to include a comparison of back to back shot time on the Drive, it would be really appreciated.
What are the pros and cons over lever and knob values please.
Hey t, It comes down to personal preference. Internally, if the valve is sprung the mechanical operation is very similar so no real difference in reliability. some users prefer less user movement required to operate lever valves.
Marc
@@Wholelattelovepage Thank you.
How come rocket isn't in here? Are they not actually good? I always see them at cycling shops
Hey George, Rocket did not make the list this year. The R Cinquantotto (R58) has been in our best dual boilers in past years. Rocket is big in the cycling community!
Marc
i feel like i am listening to John Davis from the old motorweek car tv show...
Hey victor, lol! Yes my vocal pacing/tone is similar to his style. But who's copying who? Guessing he's a bit older than me so...
Marc
Mark, do you guys sell to Mexico?
Hi JBF, Sorry we do not at this time.
Marc
I remember hearing the crem units were initially going to be built in China but then in Spain later on, looking at your video they’re still made in China, is your unit an old one or are they still made in China?
Hi CoB, All currently shipping Crem machines are made in Spain.
No love for the Brevillr dual boiler, whats up wit that?
Sorry, it's not really in the handcrafted machine category.
Is Dave Grohl working in your helpdesk? Fresh pots for days!
Why isn't the Rancilio silvia pro x not mentioned?
Hi s, thanks for the question. Just did not make our top 5 Best for 2023. That said it is a fine machine and a good value which I have featured in other videos like this one: th-cam.com/video/ahryx4LsKbc/w-d-xo.html
Marc
@@Wholelattelovepagewhat do these machine do better compared to the Pro X? I've also seen a video where the Pro X was better than the Profitec.
@@Wholelattelovepagethen what is your opinion on the Profitec 300 vs RSPX?
Marc
how come Lelit Elizabeth was not selected?
Because it’s a good entry dual boiler but Bianca is pretty much superior in every way. Without a doubt going for an entry priced dual boiler it’s a good machine. I think MaraX and Elizabeth comes pretty close in price.
the best
Now the video for hi-end espresso machines, please.
Hi a, What make/model machine are you interested in?
Marc
Hoe about the other brands like Bezzera, Quick Mill, Rancilio and Rocket.
These are fully neglected.
It's always all about Profitec, Profitec and once more Profitec.
The rest are garbage! Lol
To be honest though these machines are not worth their price
Their are
Sooooo overpriced that u have to be a fool or
Just love thr hobby, maybe am both i have the synchronika but you definitely
Dont need it to make great

Hi VJ, Our channel does have full-length videos on dual boiler machines from all of those manufacturers. Only so much space in this video!
Why is the elizabeth left out?
Hi d, Thanks for the question. We based selections on a number of factors including feedback from customers and our machine techs. Unfortunately we have very little feedback on that machine. At about the same price we have more feedback on the Profitec Pro 300: www.wholelattelove.com/products/profitec-pro-300-dual-boiler-espresso-machine
Marc
@@Wholelattelovepagehey Marc do you know when the Elizabeth will be restocked? Its still the machine that hits all my wishlists and relatively affordable.
Hi, They should be available in a week or so.
Marc
It's worth noting that Profitec is a subsidiary of ECM
I'm surprised how Profitec Drive didn't make the cut.
Hey b, At the time this video was made we only had the Drive in-house for initial evaluation. That has gone well! Look for the Drive in video coming soon.
Marc
The video more like an advertisement than a review... You just focused on what you are selling and what you are selling more popular.
Yes and yes. I have the syncronika and havent had an issue but yes u have to be crazy to spend do
Much money
@gigi9467 You are right. Nowadays many brands are producing very top quality machines, Lelit, ECM, Bezzera, Belezza, Profitec etc... They all have cons and pros. All need to do chose the best product according to our budgets. I am usin Bianca and i am very happy with her...
Hi b, Thanks for sharing your thoughts. We only feature products which we carry and are very familiar with. As clearly stated in the video our selections are based on factors including customer feedback in reviews, build quality, innovations, opinions of our machine service technicians, value and popularity.
Marc
WLL could fix this issue but simply mentioning at the beginning that they have a bias to products they carry. This is not a fair “showdown” of all machines available in 2023. Nobody would stop watching if they were upfront.
Why would WLL do otherwise?
Where is the la marzocco ;-)
I think that they don’t sell one and therefor don’t add it on their compare list.
Too expensive for what it offers, imo. Thats why they dont sell it. Its great for fans of Marzocco line but not really practical.
Hey MM, Price vs. performance is a factor used in consideration. Full disclosure, we do not carry LM. It's hard to justify at near double or more the price of these machines.
Good to see Dave Grohl on the telephone help line.
