Kamal, B1701 on your Hyundai Sonata means "open or increased resistance in Driver Buckle pretensioner " 1-It could just be a poor contact in the connector or wiring harness. Make sure its plugged in and the wiring harness is not damaged/cut anywhere. 2-If all looks good with connection then it could be the actual seat belt pretensioner. To test the pretensioner, watch our video "How to: Test seat belt good or bad" here: help.myairbags.com/hc/en-us/articles/115012919107-MyAirbags-How-To-Test-a-Seat-Belt- Please let us know the result?
Please make sure to first disconnect the battery. Then the airbag control module needs to be bolted down with all bolts before reconnecting the battery.
Hugo De Alba, Great question! Heres an article with pictures from our Help Center: help.myairbags.com/hc/en-us/articles/115011750647-Do-you-repair-rebuild-buckles- Theres a few ways to tell. Not all cars have buckles that deploy. Some cars its just the seat belt pretensioners, while others its just the buckles. Some cars are equipped with both that can deploy. One way is you will get a trouble code on your scan tool that will tell you its deployed. Another way is too look at the buckle and see if its been deployed and pulled down like an accordion. Please let us know if you still have any others questions. We are very happy to help!
Hugo, it might be slightly different for the 2013 model but this video should help with the overall process. If you need the module reset and/or the seatbelts rebuilt, we can help with that: www.myairbags.com
Javier, on that vehicle, it should be on the radiator support. Theres an article on this one in our MyAirbags.com Help Center: myairbags.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001391787-How-to-Change-SRS-Impact-Sensors
Recently ran off the road and driver and passenger airbags deployed. Trying to decide if I want to take on the project. Your video is great. It’s a 2019 challenger. Car starts but won’t shift out of park. Does the deployed airbags result in not being able to shift out of park?
I swapped my seat on my 2015 charger with other suede factory seats plugged everything up and the airbag light wont go away My car was not in accident either. How can i fix this?
3Silver4Beast5, If the light is on for an unknown reason, I would recommend, hooking up a scanner/scan tool up to the OBD port and reading the airbag trouble codes. Diagnosing the light would help us narrow down the issue. You can always reply here with the codes or head over to our online HELP Center and type in the code there: www.myairbags.com
I accidentally removed the 10amp fuse in the back trunk, i got a airbag light, what should i do? (2016 dodge challenger shaker rt) please help, thanks. Car was not in an accident!
You can use a diagnostic scan tool to clear the code. For most Ford and GM vehicles it will auto clear itself. But for other vehicles it needs a scanner to clear the code.
Paul, On that model, its directly under the radio console, all the way on floor. There are panels to the right of the pedals that come off and should see it right away. Its the metallic box with a orange sticker on top of it - bolted to the floor.
Taz, the Dodge Charger module should be in the same spot under the console, on floor. We haven't produced a video how to get to it yet, but if you watch this video, it should be helpful in getting a good idea on how to get to the module in your Charger. Make sure you disconnect the battery cables anytime you work with the airbag system. Please let us know how different or similar it was to get to the module? and of course, if the car was in an accident and you need to get it reset instead of buying new: check out out airbag module reset service: www.myairbags.com/product-category/repair-return/airbag-module-reset/
Thank you for the well informative video. I own a used 2014 challenger, I know an airbag was deployed in a minor accident in the past. The previous owner said it was replaced, and programmed accordingly. But I've been suspicious, so my question is.. Is there any other way to turn off the airbag light without fixing its system? Maybe by some illegal programming? Ps. We don't have an authorized Dodge service shop in my country.
@@MyAirbags It took more time to unscrew the back screw than to take apart the whole console. Why wouldn't you be a little more transparent and just say its very difficult?
I ended up cutting that top cover to get access to the back bolts - that and a 10mm 1/4" drive with a swivel and extension. This design is terrible for service though I'm sure its super easy at the factory before the dash is installed! Also if the dash needs replaced due to passenger airbag being deployed that is probably the right time to remove this module.
My bud bought 2014 challenger, passenger seat lower lumbar airbag in seat is pushing out at max and hurts the back, we can't find a switch to control the airbag in back of seat Driver seat has a button and lil knob, I asked him if there is a second switch for passenger bag and he said no So where is the airbag switch for passenger side, it has the airbag tag on side of seat so it's in there Thanks in Advance

Even if the module got wet can you still reprogram it?
No it needs to be replaced. Get your original part number that is on the airbag control module and look for replacement on eBay.com or MyAirbags.com
Were is the module on charger srt8 14 ?
It is under the radio on the floor. You can also use this link for help www.myairbags.com/srs-airbag-control-module-location-lookup/
What kind of seat belt is that. I’m having trouble picking the type
This model was a dual stage seat belt. You can tell by looking at the wire plugs. 1 plug - single stage. 2 - dual stage. 3 - triple stage seat belt.
I’ve head the modules on these reset them selves
uptownphiladelphia, Yes on some Chrysler made modules, this is the case! What car did you have?
1/4 ratchet with a 10mm swivel worked like a charm!
Is it the same spot for a 2013 too?
