  • After receiving her undergraduate degree from the University of Leeds (United Kingdom) in 2022, Louise Ball worked for 15 years in academic labs before coming to the University of Florida in 2017 to pursue a doctorate in biomedical sciences. She now works as a postdoctoral associate for the Swale Lab at the UF Emerging Pathogens Institute. In her work for the lab, Ball focuses on how tick-borne bacterial disease Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever (RMSF) can adapt to growth between ticks and humans.
