Homemade Lemon Sorbet
Servings: 6
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cup (375 ml) water
2/3 cup (135 grams) sugar
1/2 cup (125 ml) lemon juice
1-2 tablespoons lemon zest
Fresh mint (optional)
Lemon slices (optional)
PREPARATION
Add the water in a saucepan on medium heat and bring it to a boil. Add the sugar and stir until the it dissolves.
Remove from heat and allow to cool.
Add the lemon juice and zest and combine them.
Pour the mixture into a large dish or a storage container.
Freeze until firm (about 2 to 3 hours), stirring with a fork every half an hour.
Garnish with mint and lemon slices before serving.

15 parts water, 10 parts sugar, 8 parts lemon juice, zest from the lemons you squeezed. For example from 5 lemons you should get about 200g juice, so 250g sugar and 375g water
