Limited Run really needs to step up their staffing if they are going to continually bombard us with title after title and still expect us to be OK with getting our stuff two years after it was ordered.
It’s true! I have sworn off this company numerous times but get pulled back in with releases I just want to get. It’s such a shame they run things the way they do. They succeed despite themselves.
I'm forever waiting for a few games from this company. By the time I ever get anything something else goes on sale that I "absolutely must have" even though I'd rather not even support this business practice. By now they should have the funds to put out games like a regular company.
LRG can be a difficult company to love at times, but in the end I'm still glad they exist. How many games we would not be able to get physically otherwise? Sure not all their releases are a home run, but the ones that are really make it all worth it. Now if only we didn't have to wait a year or more to actually get our purchases...
You weren't kidding about the Lunark being Flashback-ish. The soundtrack, the rotoscope-y movements, the level designs, the green vapor hazards (or buttons in Lunark's case), etc. Two things that definitely contrast with Flashback were some of the sound design/sound effects being jarringly loud, the character designs being more stylized in proportions (larger heads) and some of the animations looking choppier -- A true testament to how fluid the animation was in Flashback
I definitely got to give props to wayforward. I they're one of the few companies that keep their games simple yet enjoyable and as long as they continue that formula they will always be successful. They just have an art style and gameplay style that will always be appealing and mesmerizing.
I would really like to get that 3DS game but at the same time I don't want to give Limited Run my money with how rough they are with pre-order wait times
Oh man "D" was a super early run game on the ps1, and I remember picking it up at hollywood video next to Fred Meyer in Burlington, wa, but their copy had been so over played that it was scratched to all hell. Still mad about that. Always wanted to play through it
I played through Blossom Tales last year. Just FYI, it is the MOST similar game I have ever played...to Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. VERY reminiscent of the first part of ALTTP before you go to the dark world.
I’ve owned it digitally for awhile. Picked it up physical from LR somewhat recently when they did a “resale” of some stuff that had leftover in their warehouse. Never opened the physical copy but I did start the digital game. So far it’s fun. Probably buy number 2.
I really thought a release date would be announced, for tmnt but no. At this point I thought digital would drop soon but who knows. their feed said video footage of the game clip is still a work in progress. I was under the impression this game was finished and gonna release soon maybe not.
Limited Run have been proven to fabricate and lie about stock levels, their sales tactics are very predatory and anti-consumer. The titles they offer are quite often sub-par indie games and their bigger titles quite often get their own retail release further down the line to some degree. I think people are starting to get sick of paying a premium rate for average quality titles and having to wait a year for them. Having a bit of tatt for your favourite series or franchises can be fun, but we all have plenty of memorabilia and merch, I think were getting sick of them trying to justify the high cost by giving us dirt cheap pin badges and stickers and thinking thats ok, most of us dont care about tatt for these random indie titles.... Their selling point is 'Physical' but is a physical worth it if your waiting all year and paying through the nose, to a company that have lied to you to try and bump their sales figures? People say vote with your wallet, well screw this company! P.S no hate towards Riggs or the video, love him, this is just my own personal opinion on the company from a bitter old ginge 🧡
Go! Go! Kokopolo DSiWare (2011) + Go! Go! Kokopolo 3D: Space Recipe for Disaster 3DS (2017). So essentially a re-release compilation of the two games. The original DSiWare version being unavailable since it was delisted in 2014.
I've been to the LRG store here in North Carolina and gotta say it was very underwhelming. Was only able to find a "limited" copy of Shantae Risky's Revenge Director's Cut Collectors Edition for the Switch. There were quite a few copies laying around in the store which surprised me, since I originally missed out on the pre-orders way back.
The Game Boy Bill & Ted has been a favorite of mine since it was new and gets lots of bite-sized playtime in my house. The music is really cool and it's just a weird collect-em-up that I have recommended to friends for years. 🥳
The Konami Anniversary Collection looks okay. The Turtles game I can wait for. Probably the only ones I'll be interested in. Don't think I will buy either though.
I think it's cool about doom eternal is getting a physical release through limited run. It will probably most likely contain all the dlc. I remember when the game was supposed to get a physical release by retailers but it got cancelled. Plus I was shocked about Glover. I didn't think that game would come back.
Blade Runner PC was during Westwood Studio's voxel phase, and is one of the most impressive uses of voxels for the backgrounds and the characters. It is still quite old, so the resolution is low enough to make it look crap for screenshots, but it is quite fluid in motion. Pretty nasty looking early CG rendered cutscenes though. SCUMMVM also has the ability to run the PC files, so this might just be using that under the hood. Clunky controlling, but an adventure game with randomization of which characters are Replicants (at least from the old advertisements).
I‘m all in for Rendering Ranger! Have been hoping for it since the Turrican rereleases. Growing up with Turrican on C64 and Amiga, RR is very much „the one that got away“.
How long does it normally take to get a game once it's been put into production. I ordered the first KOTOR back in November and still haven't seen anything.
DoDonPachi and Espgaluda 2 are my go-to fun quick play games! 10/10 fun and 10/10 soundtracks!! Definitely going to grab those, I've been hoping they'd get physicals!
Somewhat off topic I'm sure it's been answered before but for those that go for complete collections do you all also include these limited run/super rare, etc games or is it only the ones that go to retail? I don't know why but everytime something new gets released by these publishers (not complaining I think it's cool) going for a complete set seems it would be harder to complete.
JohnRiggs TMNT shredders revenge was my favorite but I have begged all parties involved making the game since the game was announced for TMNT shredders revenge amiibo. It doesn't look like we are going to get them. ☹️
Finally someone else watched the LRG stream. Nothing I wanted to drop money on …….. yet, but that pizza deal with the turtles game was awesome. Though I’ll admit I was pushing for them to do something shining force 3 rerelease
I don't care what anybody says. I personally like Bill & Ted’s Excellent Video Game Adventure and will defend this game since the LJN Defender didn't have it in him.
Does anyone know, are these Limited Run only? I ask because I really want that Blade Runner game. If I can’t get it from Limited Run like I miss it and it sells out, do you know if it will be eligible digitally or anything, or are these exclusive to Limited Run?
The Lynx version of Bill & Ted is so much better than the Game Boy version. I used to know the guy who made the Kokopolo games. Very cool guy, very fun games.
I've been checking the Nintendo eShop everyday to see if Plumbers Don't Wear TIes has dropped. I seriously expected an April Fool's drop this year. At least they're still releasing it, though. If only they'd gotten to it last year; John and Jane would've been shoe-ins for Smash. I love that they're working to preserve games (seeing D was a pleasant surprise), but I wish they would focus less on preserving FMV games, and more on more... well, games that are actually playable. Still delightfully weird and wonderful presentation, though, so I'll give them that.
If anyone sat through that live stream well they failed with their streaming it stopped at the prize fighter trailer n did not return so I think, very lame, u had to go to Twitter to see the rest.

Im still waiting for my KOTOR copy.

They should have open another warehouse and hire more employees to at least get these games out a little fast.
That’s crazy
Shredder's Revenge and Cowabunga Colection
Subscribe or Limited Run Games will release Deadly Towers retro collection next.

Definitely excited for River City Girls 2, but Garden Story looked interesting too! Lots of good stuff!
I am 100% with you!! River city girls 2 is a must own!!!👍👍👍
Okay, that's awesome I love it! 0:40
Death Wish Enforcers is a win for me
They lied to us. They PROMISED a release date for TMNT shredders revenge and didn't give it to us.
I wonder if they did it on the live stuff they did afterwards. I didn't hang out.
June 18th is the rumor
Can’t get a Bucky O’Hare but yet there’s a Bill and Ted Collection? Please explain this to me.
Powerslave: Exhumed is a very underrated "boomer shooter." Highly recommend it.
Looked pretty fun in that ol' school style.
I would love if they did a Sega Saturn style long box version. I played the hell out of this game on my Saturn back in the 90s.

Rendering ranger for switch and Super Nintendo was another great addition to the LRG line up.
I definitely got to give props to wayforward. I they're one of the few companies that keep their games simple yet enjoyable and as long as they continue that formula they will always be successful. They just have an art style and gameplay style that will always be appealing and mesmerizing.
Agree 100%.
I see what you did with that ending music! Great overview John! Thanks!
D...man, that's great. But I hope they remaster D2 as well. It was an incredible survival horror on Dreamcast.
I would really like to get that 3DS game but at the same time I don't want to give Limited Run my money with how rough they are with pre-order wait times
It takes almost a year to get some titles! A year!
No one tell him about Strictly Limited Games or First Press Games 👀
@@poopikins trying ordering from 1Print in Japan. They tell you after it ships if you don’t get it in three to four months to contact them. Lol

Always good to be able to sneak one of your videos in before I work from 715pm till 545am. Still gunnin for ya Riggs!

Thank you for the outstanding show, John.

shadow run trilogy is what I'm Gaga over. loved it on the super Nintendo.
Love that Boy and His Blob music at the end.

Wish I was.
People trashing this because no detail about tmnt. Idc honestly the other games looked cool
The Konami Anniversary Collection looks okay. The Turtles game I can wait for. Probably the only ones I'll be interested in. Don't think I will buy either though.
River City Girls 2 and that cat 3DS games are must grabs for me. The game play looked amazing.
Ninja turtles, river city girls 2 and rendering ranger are must own for me
Just scrolled past this thumbnail and gasped laughing
Very excited about Blade Runner and the Shadowrun Trilogy.
I think it's cool about doom eternal is getting a physical release through limited run. It will probably most likely contain all the dlc. I remember when the game was supposed to get a physical release by retailers but it got cancelled. Plus I was shocked about Glover. I didn't think that game would come back.
That Blade Runner game was originally on the PC. Spidersaurs, River City Girls 2, Lunark.

Very nice coverage John! Damn some of those I'll need to be on the lookout for.
I‘m all in for Rendering Ranger! Have been hoping for it since the Turrican rereleases. Growing up with Turrican on C64 and Amiga, RR is very much „the one that got away“.
American Hero, get it now man! Preorders have been open a few days already.
The showcase was a waste of time since they promised more info on Shredder's Revenge with the CE and we got nothing.
Dodonpachi collection is my must buy
Tetris effect my brother owns it already physical I’m sure I’ve seen it at game stop used
Yeah i was surprised to, i thought even LRG already done that, but this is “connected”. I’m not sure the difference either….
Blade runner, shadowrun trilogy, river city girls 2 and Shredder's revenge are titles I'm looking forward to.
How long does it normally take to get a game once it's been put into production.
I ordered the first KOTOR back in November and still haven't seen anything.
I was hoping for a shredders revenge release date
Enclave actually came out for the original Xbox, maybe pc as well
DoDonPachi and Espgaluda 2 are my go-to fun quick play games! 10/10 fun and 10/10 soundtracks!! Definitely going to grab those, I've been hoping they'd get physicals!
Hey John you know when spider saurs is going to be available on limited run looking forward to that game
Tmnt shredder’s revenge is definitely on my radar to buy it
saaaame.

Hey Riggs I think A Boy And His Blob are not the older versions but the newer HD version .. I may be wrong tho
I wonder whatever happened to skatebird coming out through them on the switch.
I got an email to preorder A Boy and his Blob a few weeks ago, and it definitely wasn't the NES version.
I’ve been waiting for a physical release of Powerslave Exhumed! Awesome game
Enclave HD? Well, fuuudge. Didn't that game come out for the OG XBOX? Love, love, love that game.
I'm disappointed that you weren't familiar with Blade Runner... It was a Westwood classic on PC.
yeah ... .that blade runner was supposed to be like revolution in adventure games ... it didn't date well .. still cool to experience though :)
River city girls has the most hype. I'm also looking forward to Kotor 2 and Shredders revenge.
Definitely gonna grab Shredder and that Arcade Collection, Bats was the highlight for me and might grab that japanese schmup dodo….something
And River City Girls 2, must-grab!
Espgaluda 2 and Dodonpachi DFK (resurrection) for sure!
Thanks
How was there not a Dino-Riders game? Bueller?
JohnRiggs TMNT shredders revenge was my favorite but I have begged all parties involved making the game since the game was announced for TMNT shredders revenge amiibo. It doesn't look like we are going to get them. ☹️
Really looking forward to Blossom Tales 2. First one was great! :)
Finally someone else watched the LRG stream.
Nothing I wanted to drop money on …….. yet, but that pizza deal with the turtles game was awesome.
Though I’ll admit I was pushing for them to do something shining force 3 rerelease
Thanks you for this. You saved me from having to sit through the 50 minute presentation.
Very excited for Tetris Effect: Connected & Shredders Revenge for my PS4.
We've been waiting for a while for your evil twin Ron to make a comeback. I'm afraid of that guy cause he doesn't care what do I think 😎
Still hoping for a Cyber Shadow physical release by LRG.
A boy and his blob is a must have for me!
I don't care what anybody says. I personally like Bill & Ted’s Excellent Video Game Adventure and will defend this game since the LJN Defender didn't have it in him.

Anniversary Collection Arcade Classics FINALY 😃
Kotor 2 patched and fixed is probably worth owning. Nice to see Dodonpachi getting a physical.
The Lynx version of Bill & Ted is so much better than the Game Boy version.
I used to know the guy who made the Kokopolo games. Very cool guy, very fun games.
Am I the only person that legitimately enjoyed Bill and Ted on NES?
Yes.
I don't have none of those games except for american hero alot of them look good
I am just waiting for their first Xbox release.
Enclave is amazing!! It came out on Xbox and then PC like a year later.
What the fuck why is Plumbers Don't Wear Ties here lmao
No Castlevania Advance Collection? Im sad...
It's funny that this video has more views than the official one. 😄
I'm waiting for Castlevania Advance Connection.
KOTOR II and shredders revenge. That’s it.
The Bladerunner game is a better Snatcher than Snatcher.
bold words. I'll have to check it out.
Now if they can only step up their manufacturing process.....
Exhumed on the psx was awesome
Wayforward is publishing some of this games not developer.

BLADE RUNNER.
Want someone to rerelease the gex games, looking forward to boy and his blob
How is doom eternal a AAA game a limited run production that's crazy. This is what's wrong with today's game industry.
