Hello Krey, In a time of video (23:50) you spoke about terrain modification for removing water surface form Dam accumulation, getting from Lidar (if someone want to make dambreak model). My quation is: Did we have some easies trick to remove water surface or we must use Terrain modification layer with multipoint polygon tool? (in second case we need a "meny meny" of polygons to make assumption of natural terrain before dam to be buildet)
Hi Krey, just wondering if you have any suggestions to fix my problem. I am running a 2D flow area (10x10 mesh) with channel terrain modifications (model runs fine without them) and variable time step method. The model keeps going unstable and not too sure what to try next. Using a 30s computational interval and max/min courant numbers of 2 and 0.75 as the terrain is in a steep sided narrow river environment so the velocities are relatively high. Cheers in advanced :)
Please help The issue I am facing is "has a weir elevation lower than the cells they are connected to for 2D Area Perimeter 1 This is not allowed in HEC-RAS: "
What if i added a high ground (as a dam) in the river and the app didn't identify it? the water flows as if there's no high grounds. what did I miss? can you help, please? thanks in advance!
Do i need to re-run the simulation when doing terrain modification or i just need to associate the modified terrain to the existing simulation file? thanks!
i'm sorry but it's normal that doing a modification (high ground) the elevation of the vertices is lower than the terrain over i'v put it? just for an example, one vertex has elevation of 16.03 vs terrain in the same point of 16.67
This is amazing, thanks for the overview.

So interesting, i am learning so much, thank you.
Krey, did I really just watch you flood the Grand Canyon? :) Cool demo.
As Always interesting video, will try it later in Hec Ras 6.0
Thank you so much for this video!
This is super helpful, thanks so much
Many thanks🙏

Dear sir, why you need to resample from original srtm dem 30m to 100m resolution? and how to resample it in ras mapper?
There's no 'OK or 'Cancel' button in the terrain modification dialog box in the stable version of HEC-RAS 6!
Please help

"has a weir elevation lower than the cells they are connected to

This is not allowed in HEC-RAS:

This was very helpful, thanks for sharing!
I´d appreciate if you showed how to add shapes and polygons on the cloned terrain.
Best regards
Good job. Thanks

Can you do a levee with this new terrain modifications tools? Comments please
Awesome videos!!
The way you did a video wearing helmet 😂🪖
great presentation again. is it known when version 6.0 will not be beta?
Is it possible to export the modified hdf to a tif raster?
Yes
