Same thing happens to us farmers; city people move in next door to a farm that has been in operation for generations, and immediately start complaining.
If they are so unhappy, then why did they move there in the first place?

Yes! Thank you! Why move to a less urban area, then try to develop the heck out of it? Our green spaces and farms are disappearing because of urban sprawl and developers putting up more and more unneeded subdivisions.

This is the 29th year of the renfaire. The residents that recently moved to the area should of done more research as signs are everywhere for the Renaissance festival.
As a attendee yes traffic has been worse than previous years but one does have to realize that we were all cooped up last year due to covid that canceled last year completely.
Please do not let the town ruin out way to let loose.

These are the same people who complained about the smell of silage, once a year, from a nearby farm that had been operating longer than most of the complaintants have been alive.

Let me get this right; So the complainers has been attending the festival for years without a problem then moved into the neighborhood and all of a sudden traffic is a big deal for a festival that happens once a year? 🙄 The ‘It’s only a problem when it happens to us’ crowd.
Just plan ahead on the days of the festival not to drive around much. Otherwise, that’s probably the single biggest money maker for that small country town and brings in plenty of business so can’t be done away with. Less people means less money.

Seriously? The festival has been like this for years. Are these new people living there? Just like the people that moved beside the old shuffle town drag way and complained about the noise. But everything has to be about the whiners.

  • @wandasetzer1469
    @wandasetzer1469 3 ปีที่แล้ว +17

The festival has been out there about twenty-five years. This complaining man moved in afterward, and now he wants to stop everybody who wants to go there from getting a chance. Surely he has noticed what time the festival starts and ends, which is when the traffic is heaviest. He could arrange his life to avoid driving on that road during that time. It's only seven weekends of the year. But he wants thousands of people to miss out. Not the best solution.

He moved to the area 3 yes ago? Dude there is a HUGE sign (if not a couple of them) on the road its on, as well as other places. And they actually start advertising in like August/September....AND I am sure people in Huntersville talk about it too.
"Oh we have attended the festival two or three times and we enjoyed it...but something has to be done..."
"We moved here 3 yrs ago and no one told us about it"
    **DAMN ENTITLED KARENS!!!!**
What more can they actually do? I mean they hired PROFESSIONAL parking crew! AND got help from the POLICE to help direct traffic! So, seriously, what more do you want them/can they do???
And helping with parking and traffic was something (I THINK...not 100% sure...but still!) the BOY and EAGLE SCOUTS helped with...taking that away from them! Good job **"KAREN**! AND since the festival planners have yet ANOTHER expense, the price for admission will go up EVEN MORE. AND they may end up **CHARGING FOR PARKING** (Which has **ALWAYS** been FREE) They will either raise admission prices or start charging for parking....or **BOTH** to cover the new expense.
Which may (more like **MORE THAN LIKELY**) price A LOT of people/families out of being able to go.....its already a pretty decent "chunk of change" to attend as it is now....i mean...the first time I went...it was $16. Now? **PUSHING $30!** I have not been in YEARS....but with the price of tickets being so high I simply CANNOT go... I'm on SSI...less than $800/month...I really can't afford it as it is....now they have ANOTHER (**EXPENSIVE**) expense to budget for. **SMDH**
And besides....traffic through Huntersville and surrounding towns/area is **HORRIBLE ALREADY** I mean damn...77 pretty much becomes a **PARKING LOT** AT LEAST **TWICE A DAY PRETTY MUCH EVERY DAY!**
This guy is just **SPEWING** that "I AM AN OLDER UPPER MIDDLE CLASS WHITE MAN WHO IS BEING A LITTLE INCONVENIENCED AND SINCE NO ONE TOLD/WARNED ME ABOUT THIS, I SHOULD BE COMPENSATED FOR BEING SO DISRESPECTED AND SLIGHTLY INCONVENIENCED....I WANT TO SPEAK WITH YOUR SUPERVISOR....AND I DONT CARE WHO IS INCONVENIENCED BECAUSE ITS NOT ABOUT THEM...ITS ABOUT ME AND WHAT I WANT! AKA ENTITLED KAREN" NASTY VIBE/ENERGY

I live near the festival. People just need to better plan their weekends. If you plan to leave the house, plan to be out most of the day. It was worse before they added the additional entrance/exit on 73. Maybe open an entrance/exit on Huntersville-Concord Rd.
