Awww that's very, very nice of you to say. Life can certainly hit you a curve ball and for me it feels more times than not but this is why I get out, to make me feel happy again and I think you can tell I am, my happy place is outdoors. Thanks you once again, lovely comment that. Ant 👍
Great camp that lads. Leon has changed, camps in a mansion tent, own discount code.. lol. No, great camp fellas. I am with you with you on the OEX Exp tarp, its a belting addition to the bobby goving you that extra protection and more living space. I am hoping Leon gets us a code for that and if he gets a good price, hit me up. Lol . Take care chaps Atb Andy
Hey Andy! Thanks buddy I appreciate that. Haha I know right, who does he think he is! 😆. Yeah I really enjoyed having that tarp up, easy to set up too! Yep, the space was very welcome indeed. Haha you never know mate him might do lol. Thanks pal as always
Ultra light bobcat. But you had to bring an external footprint to use in the vestibule, and an external tarp to help block the wind. At that point won't the collective weight of that gear be around equal to the regular bobcat? But for a load more money. I think I'll be sticking with the original bobcat 💪🐈
Hi Jamie, no mate I took them to test. I don't have the UL version of both. Leon actually surprised me with the tarp. I had bought the footprint for use with all my tents as a ground mat, I was sick of cleaning the bottom of the tents. It's all in the name of testing. The tarp came in handy yes just to stop the wind blowing the tent into me when I was In bed but not essential at all, you would get that with any tent. Constant testing will be going on throughout summer so stay tuned matey
Great watch Ant 👍. Top man Leon for bringing the tarp, that just topped off the set up. Pity about the clouds at the morning time but still a cracking pitch 👌
Hi Geoff, thank you mate. Yeah he's a tip bloke is Leon isn't he. Yeah I was gutted about the weather in the morning but glad I managed to get the drone up the day before pal. Thanks for the watch 👍
Hi Cath, thank you. Yeah me either, there's plenty to explore around there so I'll be definitely heading back. Have a good rest of the week both of you.
Thank you Ivan, a beautiful place to visit this. I notice the massive difference in weight on the way up mate, I felt so good at the top and normally I'm gased out. That's a biggy for me that mate. More to come!
It's like watching Jason Statham and his twin brother out in the hills. Nice one lads, you're going to have to come down here boys now you've gone as far south as Derbyshire there are no excuses.
Haha! Believe it or not, my cousins son inlaw is a joiner and does work at his house lol! Thanks matey, yeah for sure! I dunno if Leon could cope on a multi day camp, he's never done a survival poo yet Si lol
@@AntSurviveTheNight Lol, well you'll have to come now cause Jason is often in town, his missus was born here. You two could make a fortune signing autographs.
Rocking - Dragons? I thought you were in Wales for minute there. The Bobcat can take owt! I've done that - twice on Pendle, Sabden side and some hill in Devon, can't remember it's name near Holsworthy. I've not stopped around Derbyshire.
Hi Mark, yeah that's another on the list in Wales mate. Ahh class man. This is actually the first tent camp I've done in the Peak District and to be honest I don't know why I've not set about coming to this area sooner. Easy to get to. Thanks pal for watching
Nice location, it's stunning up there. Be prepared for some locals commenting on here though if they see this video, Brian from Glossop wildcamping got loads of grief off one individual who "reported" him lol (obviously, it didn't go anywhere)
Hi matey, yeah I know what you mean. At the end of the day I'm a guy who loves a quite camp, sunsets/sunrises, beautiful views and leaves not trace. I'm on the coastline, the locals have nothing to worry about. Thanks though pal for pointing it out, Ant
@@AntSurviveTheNight I know mate, Brian even demonstrated that he'd left no trace, it didn't stop them kicking off, apparently she knew the farmer who owns the land, you know what Karen's are like lol.
Sorry wolfie, dunno where my head was on the last message I posted to you. I'm back in the game now pal. If I'm honest we saw just one solitary person about 9.45pm and that was it, nobody came up in the morning either. As I said though, does anybody actually have the right to that Hill anyways?
@@AntSurviveTheNight lol, no worries. Apparently it's owned by the nearby farmer, there are signs on the other side of the hill near the farm saying it's private land and to use the permissive path, but we still banged straight up the side of it lol.
I can't see that as there's gates to allow you through, and a gravel path, it did state that if it's slippy to use the other route, I wouldn't be trusting that sign if I'm honest. The farmer can't own a hill like that
Nice camp bro the UL stood up, it's not for me lad, al stick wild country, We will have to get out on 1 sometime, some fuckin spots up north Mate if ya fancy comfort get a OEX Rakoon 2.1, pair that wiv the expedition tarp, Fuckin Palace bro
Hey Dav, thanks buddy. Yeah first test done, pitching in wind was too bad at all. Never managed a full wind filled night but to be honest I'm thankful, I wanted a sleep lol. I'll have to have a nosy at the Rakoon sounds like a nice home for the night lol!
