  • This is a compilation of some short videos made during our recent (end of 2019) New Colombo Plan funded exchange project between James Cook University, Australia & Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University, Thailand. We have been running exchanges since 2010, with the New Colombo Plan funding providing a major boost from 2015 to today.
Social Work students learn about approaches to their field in another country and a mixed group of students from across JCU learn something about Heritage and Archaeology, especially in relation to livelihoods in rural NE Thailand.
All the JCU students learn something about the Thai way of life (and at least some language). The NRRU participants are able to practice their English with native speakers which is important experience as they are majoring in English and/or Education for their degree studies.
JCU students should look out for opportunities to apply to take part in these projects! We hope to continue these long into the future.
