So call me crazy but I think the first image for Apollo is actually on earth. If you think about if, out of the entirety of earth, we’ve only been to two destinations, Russia and the EDZ. It could be possible that part of the new saga includes beginning to rebuild the rest of humanity. Imo that ship in the pic looks straight out of earths history . The second pic clearly isn’t on earth, but we might be going there because it has those same pylons as on earth. I agree that it could be a place on the edge of the solar system. We’ve been to moons of Jupiter, Saturn, and visited Neptune. Pluto is mentioned in the lore a few times, and was visited by the black fleet prior to lightfall, but it looks like the planet in the second image has several moons. This leads me to believe this is Uranus. Uranus is extremely related to the nine, and is orbited by a braytech space station, which might explain the pylons
No, we’re going to an entirely new solar system. In The Portal bit on the Destiny 2 Community App, we can see that in the first image there’s a ringed planet (not vertical rings like Uranus’s though) with a Campaign banner on it that reads “Apollo.” So unless that’s a placeholder, (it’s a very weird object to make a placeholder if so) then yeah, we’re gonna go to a new solar system.

I think if we explore earth as the first dlc of a universe exploring chapter for destiny’s future, I think I am going to genuinely stop playing. I also am going to call you crazy for considering the idea.
@@jonnie1632 I’m not saying that’s going to be the main plot of the saga, but it’s a perfectly realistic plot line they might run alongside the main one. Obviously we’re going to be going out and exploring, but that doesn’t mean we can’t also be exploring other parts of earth as well.
I like (not really) how Osiris went from being a very cryptic and almost deity like figure in the lore who made us all feel a sense of depth and secrecy in the destiny universe, and now hes just an angry clumsy old man. I understand that back when he was first revealed some people said in the lore that his power was overstated, but I find that hard to believe that was the case when he was first created. They should have kept him as some insanely powerful warlock who all warlocks looked up to, thats just fucking cool. They could have had the same kind of figure for titans, hunters, etc.
Not to mention how Lysander said he had proof that Osiris was a failed "Golden Age experiment" which I'm sure was one of the reasons why he was exiled from the city... and now hopefully with the skimmer lore he's going to be back and have a real bone to pick with the old bird.
Bruh Osiris literally learned how to control Strand without the help of a ghost or his light, just by studying it, while we died several times trying. He also is ever more knowledgeable about our enemies and has been basically at the front lines in game for almost a year in terms of the lore. He was "cryptic" before but kinda underdeveloped as a character, kinda like toland in D1, now he has an almost always active role in the game's events

I hope Frontiers is us dealing with the many other “knives” the Winnower has “clutched in its hands”. I want to see the Vex get its own unique character that we interact with and conversate with over seasons. Give me a Ultron type of Vex character who’s has veered into millions of simulations!
Bungie should make it to where you get rewards in private matches like in crucible. Also Bungie should let us do Seasonal Challenges and Pathfinder in private matches in gambit.
@@The_Reaper101I too can find some enjoyment in gambit but its mainly when I suddenly want a gun from it. For example I really wanted a pvp bottom dollar, but the problem is the perk pool is so oversaturated that it took seven pulls to even get a decent one.
Also Apollo reminds me of the moon missions and that's how destiny started so this could be a reference to those, maybe explaining the origins of humanitys space travel or something like that
Apollo is a god associate with the sun. Maybe it's a planet in the forge star system of Volantis? Maybe the new faction is the proper Vex platforms? After all the Vex we have in Sol are the builder units, not their actual combat platforms.

I have a bold idea for Bungie; how about and stay with me now you make a PVP mode where abilities like nades, class abilities and power melee are not able to be used and just focus on the gun play. Maybe do it for Iron Banner. Also you start with your super but it’s a once per match use.
The logo on the balloon like structures reminds me of a cell dividing. I'm thinking these could be from probes sent out to scout the system ahead of expanding beyond Sol, the logo evoking the thought of humanity expanding into the stars again.
The concept art for Apollo looks pretty interesting. The first one with the marine ship looks like it's got a darkness smoke coming off of it rather than egregore and reminds me heavily of the Borealis from Half Life. The drones shown in the concept art reminded me of the floating zepplin baloon looking things in the Lightfall Cinematic reveal trailer except they are more vertical rather than horizontal but they have a similar sort of shape. The patterns on them could very easily be something of Neomuni design. They almost seem like a type of atmospheric filter perhaps?
Thalassa is the Greek word for Sea. To me, much of that concept art looks like long dried out sea beds. Perhaps it was once a Titan like planet, covered,primarily in water. Those "drones" are teathered, in one image specifically, to what was a sea bed,now a desolate looking wasteland. The drones, in my mind, appear to have been either mechanisms to either extract water or moisture. Or, they could be part of a terraforming project of some kind,maybe. If not extracting moisture and water, perhaps creating breathable atmosphere. Personally, while I enjoy rediscovering locations humanity had once reached,but forgotten, I'm ready for stories involving alien species where the player is the frontier story. I'd like to be the trailblazer for a change. Either way, I'm excited to see where this goes and what's ahead.
My theory: The new planet is Riis. This is mainly because of the pink sky but also in one of your recent videos you said Eido was looking for Eramis who had returned to Riis. And who said thos ships were human? Bit of a stretch there but Riis is supposed to be a ruined world.

If the first chapter is “Apollo”, why wouldn’t they name the second one, “Erebus,” after the primordial Greek god of darkness and shadow? Seems to me like they could’ve done something else with that or maybe they’re going to later
I got 3 (mabe 4) possible locations. I keep coming back to Chioma talking about a refuge in a pink sky planet which the image with the ship and drones seems to look like. In the second image with the large crash the big circles looks to me like the planet is a moon of a very large gas giant. The planet is so close and large you don't see all of it. This makes me think are we looking at possibly one of the moons of Fundament? Perhaps where the Hive's early neighbors and enemies were located? Could this be the culmination of a retreating fight for the Hive back to their homeworld? I'd toss out this last one but we always have Drifter's planet with the light suppressing creatures... maybe these "drones" are those prisons that held them at bay? Finally one last thing the final missing (blank) planet on the Rasputin bunkers which seems outside the final "band" that was not lit. Like if there was another location outside of Neptune and the Kuyper belt. I can't wait to find out.
There should be nothing in the destiny verse that should give us any struggle, except for some top tier vex, the gardener, or the winnower. We already trampled everything on a conceptual level.
We beat The Witness by the skin of our teeth Canonically, had Rhulk taken us seriously immediately in Vow, we would have lost There is plenty left to kick us in the temples. Also the Hive siblings are still running around.
They should make the battle pass permanent so people don't feel pressured by fomo, as we'll as the season content, although i think that's the case for the content. Next we have the mod system got watered down and bland after they changed it, they need to add more variety and mods to the system so builds don't suck, make more interesting and unique weapons that aren't exotic, make open world content difficult and useful so its not just wasted content
Would be cool if Apollo is like the space frontier conspiracys, Apollo 13 people land and die and there's other species there and it was humanitys first attempt some twilight zone type shit
How about no more continuations of stories and rehashes of themes. No more bray tech, no more vex or taken or saint 14 for the billionth time. No more locations but in reverse. No more anything related to the light and dark saga that door has closed.
Destiny 3 will just be a crossover with No Man’s Sky, with the Vex invading the ATLAS Simulation and causing the Destiny universe to bridge over to the No Man’s Sky universe. In that update of NMS, we will get new Vex enemies, new space ships, new exotic multi tools and weapon mods, as well as light and dark subclasses so players can be able to use space magic. But that’s just a Theory………… A SPACEEEE THEORY!
What if Apollo here has nothing to do with the ancient greek god, but instead we uncover a lost pre-golden age space expedition ? I'm not as well versed in Destiny's lore as Evaze but I'm pretty sure this could be a possibility, do correct me or elaborate on the matter if you want to ^-^
IDK. So far episode 1 hit like a dud. The Destiny team really needs to go wild with this game. They already broke the mold with prismatic. Now, just keep going, dual-wield pistols, keep reducing the cool downs on skills, add new skills, flood the zones with many enemies, and let the power fantasy come into the fray. I don't want to hear about potential, I want to see potential.

I'd toss out this last one but we always have Drifter's planet with the light suppressing creatures... maybe these "drones" are those prisons that held them at bay? Finally one last thing the final missing (blank) planet on the Rasputin bunkers which seems outside the final "band" that was not lit. Like if there was another location outside of Neptune and the Kuyper belt. I can't wait to find out.

Next we have the mod system got watered down and bland after they changed it, they need to add more variety and mods to the system so builds don't suck, make more interesting and unique weapons that aren't exotic, make open world content difficult and useful so its not just wasted content

IDK. So far episode 1 hit like a dud. The Destiny team really needs to go wild with this game. They already broke the mold with prismatic. Now, just keep going, dual-wield pistols, keep reducing the cool downs on skills, add new skills, flood the zones with many enemies, and let the power fantasy come into the fray. I don't want to hear about potential, I want to see potential.
