Finally after a long time and a broken PC I finished Talon's Playthrough! Talon is the fastest Character and has a lot of variety! I had a hard time with him because the CPU will counter most of his moves immediately!

I love in this run you see all the rotting decay bodies piled up in the "Final Battle".
You can really tell that Talon is different from the rest, he's not virtuous, but he's not evil, So he stands right in the middle ground. Imperfect characters Should really be acknowledged. Despite the disagreeable ending, Talon is awesome none of the less. Blessed are the raptors. ❤️🔥🤟

The only issue I've ever had with this is that Talon is supposed to be one of the Virtuous Gods, but he ends up herding people like cattle? The other two Virtuous Gods, Blizzard and Armadon, both have very clearly positive endings. Talon should too.
That being said, I had a TON of fun with this game when I was younger and I was really glad to see this. And Talon was my fave, even if I didn't get his ending.
+Kyle Flanagan Talon is an Antihero just like Sauron. Accept Sauron doesn't kill out of pure pleasure. With his own food gone, he needs to kill and feed off of human flesh in order to appease his insatiable appetite.
Theshark15z That is an explanation for Sauron, but Talon doesn't have that sort of excuse. He seems to be doing it mostly just for comfort and his own amusement.
Also, I've heard that Sauron was not actually meant to be a Virtuous God, but instead be the only "Neutral" God, neither Virtuous nor Destructive. I have never found a source for this though other than the Primal Rage Wiki, so it might just be a rumor.
Well I think the game meant that he was virtuous to his race instsad of the humans, I could be wrong though
+Kyle Flanagan Think of it like Godzilla, defending the world doesn't necessarily mean protecting mankind, specially when most of the damage comes from mankind. And the ending does state that Talon wants to bring peace for his Raptor clan/species.
honestlly, the only Good beasts are Blizzard and Armadon, Vertigo and Diablo are plain Evil , while Talon ,Souran and Chaos are Neutral, Blizzard and Armadon want to protect the planet from distraction , Diablo want to turn it into a loving hell, Vertigo want to turn all livings into her slaves , so yaa, pretty evil, and as for the other 3 , Saoran can't stay immortal unless he keep eating humen , Talon clearly put his own speacies above the humen and protect them from anything and even from humen, Chaos want really that much of evil, he simply wanted power to protect his own clan and even help in their evalution
This guys so good he mopped the floor with Blizzard. I mean jesus he ran the guy into the dirt flawlessly in under 15 seconds. Now THAT is skill
FACTS. Blizzard was always my worst matchup. I used to cheese rush him with Sauron and even then, I only managed about a 35% (generous estimate) win rate. This guy is just *INSANE.*

I have some of the best memories playing this on arcade at the movie theater and on sega genesis. never figured out y mortal combat became so popular but primal rage didn't. dinosaurs r cooler than people right? plus its armageddon.,,, turn this into a movie already! or primal rage 3!
+Luke Duncan On the contrary Primal Rage was very popular when it came out, the only problem is that Atari who developed it were making loads of other projects and Primal Rage II was one of them but they scrapped most of them before they could be complete, so Atari have a massive list of games that they never finished which is a shame. When they were developing Primal Rage II they didn't think it would gain the success the first one had so they abandoned it. Funnily enough about 2 years ago a Primal Rage II prototype arcade machine did surface along with gameplay, it looked like a massive improvement over the original but people complained cause the way it was advertised it looked like only human characters were playable at the character select screen when in fact you could pick all the beasts from the first game. A real pity it wasn't released but at least something in the end did surface which is some consolation.

Damn, Talon does some awesome excellent slashin' with his teeth and claws. And he appears to be Neutral like Sauron and Chaos, not caring about peace on New Urth but only for the well-being of his clan and his wives and children. I can understand that at least!

I remember playing this on an arcade machine on holiday in Great Yarmouth and then got it as part of an arcade bundle on console
My favourite fighting game character, Talon is such a cool badass and he is so much fun to play as, I love a good rushdown fighter
Also Armadon, Talon and Vertigo were my favorites. I remember bring 10 and having the Armadon acrion figure. Id love to find all of them again

I love this game! I remember back in the day when this hit the arcade. I've seen great players at different times master their character. It's too bad they came at all different times during the year. It would have made for a nice tournament play.

Remember how you can eat the people to keep up your health too ? They had to walk close enough for you to eat them though. Talon became my favorite to play
I just realized that in the first round of Talon v.s Vertigo, after Vertigo was defeated the position of Talon made it look as if Talon was mating with Vertigo

Talon's my favorite and his name suits for him as a raptor because of the claws of his hands and feet that resembles the talons of an eagle or hawk.
Imagine how Talon redesigns would make him look if feathers and full plumage were to be added.

What does "No Cheese" mean as shown in the Vertigo fight?
King Kayro no button/combo spamming, and it prevented infinites. Used to give the CPU or player a chance if the other player is relentlessly using the same buttons over again. There’s a bird, audio cue that warns you before the “no cheese 🧀🚫” appears. If given no cheese, you’re frozen for about a second or so to allow the opponent a free hit on you or breathing room.

Its been a while so I cant remember too well, I think the cheese means that you killed them while they were blocking. The line through it means you cant block kill them. I cant remember exactly.
