I finally got my Flex, 5 years ago, it's awesome, and I'm ready to get another one. They are the closest thing to a Chevrolet Nomad without all the problems of a vintage car. I can't believe they want to discontinue this model. They are so efficient, comfortable, fun to drive, and everything works beautifully on them.
My 2010 Ford Taurus was at the dealership for service , and there shuttle was a Ford Flex . I was sold after a short trip from my dealership to my home , and traded my 2010 Taurus for a 2013 Ford Flex. It is awesome smooth ride and options are great !
I rented a 2013 Flex this weekend because my own vehicle was in the shop. I am strongly considering trading my car in for this next year. It looks boxy on the outside but it drives great and has alot of room . The front seats are huge.
My wife and I picked up a nice preowned 2014 Flex last week. It's just the base model but is still very nicely equipped and drives like a dream. Tuxedo black with a black interior, just under 97000 miles on the clock, and it was priced at less than $13000. Ford should have produced a commercial version of this vehicle in a panel van configuration as the low stance, more than adequate headroom for even very tall individuals, ease of entry and exit, and huge cargo area would have made it a really nice in town delivery vehicle. we've had ours for just under a week but love it so far.
The first one I saw was in a parking lot about a year ago and I thought "what a cool looking car." I like the look and they seem very practical, especially for families with kids. I've seen a lot of them on the road and I give Ford credit for an innovative and attractive design. I hope they sell a lot of them.
I just got a ford flex as my first car it is so amazing I love it and it is big enough to carry all of my stuff to the collage dorm room so I can learn to be a doctor
I've had my 2012 Ford Flex for 23 months and 21300 miles. I absolutely love this vehicle. My last two cars were Lincoln Towncars. The Flex rides nearly as well. I wish for more padding in my heated SEL cloth seat. I guess the Lincolns have spoiled me there. I've had more compliments on this car than any before, with strangers questioning my opinion as they decide on buying. Power from the 3.5 V6 without the Ecoboost is awesome. I've no clue why I'd need more power. Back seat legroom is without equal. I find the view to be excellent without blind spot issues. The SYNC is great. I do most of my driving in town and still average 19 MPG. I tow a boat and a motorcycle, (not together), with absolutely no problems. Last week I was lot browsing, thinking of my next Flex. The prices have gone up. I saw one for $56,000+! Now I'm in love all over again with my 2012. I strongly recommend this for anyone who wants versatility and comfort.
When I was in this car, the second row was spacious and the cloth seats felt durable. Also wind noise was very low and road noise was low but I felt bumps more then I would like to.
I have the top of the line 2012 Titanium modle Ecoboost , i had the 2009 Taurus X love them , Flex has more room i love it , that power that car puts out is grate
You did not offend me. Sorry for the awful joke. Yea, I like the Flex. It's basically "A Hummer for Kids!" lol it's wicked boxy and quite luxurious, with a long list of options and a somewhat long list of standard features (air conditioning with dual-zone climate controls, cruise control, power windows, power door locks, privacy glass, and more). It's a good SUV. Options include a power liftgate, navigation system, voice command, DVD entertainment system, premium sound system, and digital media
If you are old enough to remember when things were made in America and you have fond memories of choking on cigarette smoke while on the way to sunday church in the back of your dad's old station wagon, we think you'll appreciate the ford flex.
That's funny and it reminded my, folks never got a station wagon until all us kids were married and on our own. He loved it and kept kicking himself for not getting one when we were little.
How do know that Ford won't have a better resale value than Honda in the future? You don't know what the future will bring. Nobody thought the Camry would ever leave the the #1 spot in reliability. But it has. Ford is in a good spot future wise to catch the imports. A Much better spot than GM and Chrysler. The Fusion hybrid is more advanced than Honda and Toyota's Hybrids. That's a good start.
what are they talking about? The third row is fine; I'm 6'4, and even I have enough room back there! Other than that, this video is right on the money!
The Freelander is fine. They still make it. But it's called the LR2 here in the US. There's nothing wrong with them. It's actually a great platform overall. And they charge high prices because they are worth it. H2s were priced expensive because of all the specialty parts and it's superb drivetrain. It was essentially a custom frame and was the first use of GM's 6.0L V8 which was designed specifically for it. There were reasons for it's price.
Yes I heard that too. Jim's gets 21 mpg, Sherika's gets 19mpg, and Bubba's gets 18mpg (He's a big boy tho). I think that covers all of them that have been sold...
I like the retro styling and features, but would wait for the 2010 EcoBoost V6 which will have much more HP and torque without a reduction in fuel economy compared to the current engine. I only wish that Ford would offer the EcoBoost without AWD.
@cmh316 I am speaking from experience.. Ive owned 2 fords, first a mustang 2008 then a 2009 Flex. Both were JOKES. my friend has one, its totally useless offroad with the super long wheelbase and approach angle. its even FWD (with AWD being an option) but doesn't split 50/50
I don't know for certain, but history is the best judge, plus the companies themselves...Honda still offers good lease rates, while the US cars finance arms have stopped all leasing, due to the low predicted resale values. With the new look Edge and Explorer, I don't see Ford keeping the Flex around much longer. The Flex maybe the one that suffers in terms of Ford and its Trucks, Crossovers, and SUV's.
I didn't see it coming when they cancelled the Flex. I know some people didn't like it and theirs had problems. I have not had a problem with my Flex It's a 2015, I keep up with oil changes, and fluids and it has not required anything else. I did put an after market back up warning horn on it.
