His voice is so good, especially considering he didnt have any professional training before the show. I think his lower register is especially underrated and the show did not highlight it enough.
My personal favorite songs of his show off his belts. He often sang soft and breathy but he could belt as shown in “I Believe in a thing Called Love”, but he was rarely given the opportunity.

Its # 29 As if We Never Said Goodbye that showcases the incredible emotional depth and vocal virtuosity of that unique talent. It shows the complete package in one solo 4 minute performance. Personally, I think that is his best work. But there sure is some great competition with I have nothing ranked #11, #4 Le Jazz Hot, Defying gravity etc. What this man can do with the simplest lyric and simplest melody , the 'less-is-more genre, is perfectly shown in Pure Imagination at #19.

I loved Kurt’s (Chris’s) countertenor voice. I thought he’d end up on Broadway instead of writing books. But whatever makes him happy.
