Thanks Bill, this is in the zone of the ROC Bunker that I activated not long ago. I'm going to activate the Bunker again soon. It's also a HEMA but not allowed to activate from a vehicle for that. Speak soon mate. 73
Thanks for sharing your activation Chris using an AmPro whip. I was initially skeptical whether a 40m one would work well enough but I am pleasantly surprised with the results. I have used it successfully on many UKBOTA activations together with a Mag Mount. When space allows, I prefer to use an OCFD using my drive-on plate which yields of course much better results. 73, Robert PS. Nice set of wheels! 😎
Hello Robert. My favourite portable antenna is the linked dipole. I bought a couple of Ampro whips to use when Natalie and I go away in the Campervan. Although they are a compromise it's safer that having any wires strung out if there are people wandering around the camp sites. I'm looking forward to trying the 40m one. I might even buy one for 17m to use when the bands are full of contest stations. Hopefully speak soon. 73, Chris M0RSF
Thanks for watching Jon. I was using a compromise antenna for this activation. I've no doubt that I will get better results using my Linked Dipole antenna. Go for it and hope to work you sometime, maybe even Park to Park. 73 Chris M0RSF
Thanks Carl. I will activate this again but with a better antenna. Probably my Linked Dipole. It qualifies for POTA, HEMA & BOTA. Hope all is well mate. 73
I had the Ampro on a mag-mount on the roof and I know that this is not ideal. I have a 40m Ampro but I'm not expecting that to work very well at all. 73 Chris M0RSF
Thanks Geoff. There are quite a few new locations for various award schemes not far from where I live to activate. To be honest I lost interest in radio for a while but I definitely getting back into it. 73 Chris M0RSF
Glad you enjoyed the pota activation chris , i do a few from time to time 😊👍

Nice to see your first pota activation 👍

Thanks for watching. I'm aiming to activate some more POTA but with a much better antenna.

@@M0RSF Thank you. 73
Great video mate.73
Cheers mate. I need to get my interest in radio back. Speak soon. 73
Well done Chris m8

Nice Activation Chris 73 🙂👍
Thanks. It was a last minute decision and as I had the afternoon free I decided to go do a POTA activation. It was good to be out.

Well done Chris. Did you have the Ampro mounted on a Magmount on your vehicle, or did you ground mount it ? Thanks 73

I've worked the world on 40m SSB with the ampro 40 Chris same as you on the triple mag mount 😊@@M0RSF
Well done Chris, congrats for your 1st activation.
