    So I’ve owned traxxas rc’s for about 12 year and and I love them,today I picked this one out AND let me tell you,yes it is fast and maybe good quality,but this truck with 3,s battery it is 580$ and my 8 year old 2 wd slash smokes this one as far as handling go’s...on asphalt and overall terrain...I don’t think this comes at 50% close to the platinum slash 4x4...I will get the UDR from traxxas as well,I have 3 traxxas and I will stick with that 1/10 slash 2wd,1-1/6 slash 4x4 ,and trx-4 each out of the box got NO COMPETITION whatsoever on the market today...losi is way WAY bellow traxxas.just my 2 cents

      Thanks for the share i've just bought the UDR (See my videos on it). The UDR deploys the power better than me erevo. I did consider the losi super baja rey as well though. It's be more durable than the traxxas.

      Driftomaniacs I’m not sure about more durable,today I was just driving it and smoke just came out of it,I have to return to my hobby bench to have them check it out...honestly I didn’t have a good experience with losi so far...and for sure I’m getting the udr

      Yeah everyone likes to bash Traxxas because bits the cool guy thing to do but Traxxas is the most durable and easiest to find parts for, I have an arrma which everyone says is so much better than traxxas and bla bla bla and I hate it the thing breaks every time out what a POS.

    they need to bring back the 1/24 scales and make a solid rear axle for them

    This car is absolutely making me drool...I've been looking at this and the traxxas slash 4x4. I know that the slash is more for speed and bashing, but would this be able to go fast and hold up to bashing on maybe a 2s lipo?

      It looks good BUT I'd opt for the Traxxas Slash 4x4 if I were buying from new

      The losi would be more suitable for bashing becuase of the strength and roll cage

    it is a great car I have one all the way over here in west aussie have not had the chance to run it as yet the only problem being the batteries you need to run ones with the same connectors if you need to adapt yours you end up with a long lead that tends to get in the way and you are limited to the capacity as well can only run 3s 4500 not the bigger ones that I originally wanted to due to the compartment size but that is only a minor issue I think overall it is a great looking car yes expensive but I fell worth it..

      Thanks I'm hopefully shooting it outside soon. That's a very good point you raise on the battery connector. Any adapter is going to get in the way for sure.

    What advantages does this have over the yeti trophy truck, and vice versa/(other than speed) Cant quite decide which to get. Thanks

    • @DriftomaniacsRC
      @DriftomaniacsRC  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well it the main one I was going to say was speed, but set that aside as you asked for advantages other than speed. Well I'd say it feels lighter than my Yeti yet it feels stronger. The Baja's huge metal skid plate Chassis should mean it's more rigid. Also the suspension travel seems greater on the Baja than on the Yeti. Downside? you can't access a lot on the car easily. If something breaks then you've got work to do to get the body off the Baja. Whereas I think the Trophy Truck body come off as one like a normal body. Also you are going to need the right battery for this truck, that sounds silly but the connector is built in to the Bajs chassis, which means you don't want to be using an adapter as another user has pointed out, as it'll get in the way.
      Overall this feels a more quality item, but then I'm guessing the price point is a little more. That said it'll go much faster, you'd have to mod the TT a lot to get it to go this quick and that could cost more than the price differential. You may want to look at how much of each ones drivetrain is steel vs plastic. Hope that helps a little.
