The Hammer Rey bell crank system fits on the Baha Rey 2.0. I have it on mine and it is smooth with no slop. Vivaton makes it too. I have the Exotek brand on mine from Amain Hobbies that cost 47 dollars. Come with ball bearings and an aluminum servo horn. So much better than stock. I also have the GPM version to try out.
So the exotek bellcrank makes a worthwhile improvement?. I fitted one of theirs to my lasernut and although it's really nice quality and obviously much stronger than stock it didn’t really make the steering much tighter.
@@Markbinim-w8j You have slop somewhere else or a cheap servo. Of course ball bearings and aluminum bellcrank and horn will remove slop and tighten the steering. that's a given no matter what brand you use over stock You have to have a good servo. 120+ dollar servo like a Reef, powerhobby, Savoc, EcoPower, Protek Rc any one of those or other good brands. The 45 dollar Amazon servos that everyone swears by have slop in the gears which defeats the purpose of having an aluminum bellcrank with bearings. Also if the bearings have any vertical play that needs to be shimmed or it will have slop.
Drives me crazy the slop , it’s mostly these throwaway Servos , no reason can’t put 15$ metal gear ⚙️ in , I just bought all metal case 35kg , for 30 bucks , smooth strong 💪, I like protech and reefs too but I’m not going spend that much on each rc
Adding thermal compound between the heatsink and anything that it's trying to cool is critical for good cooling (30 degrees reduction in PC CPU that gets thermal throttled to 212 degrees operating temp)
After alot figure thinks..😂😂 is almost same case that old v1 baja rey . What you talking about. Just a fews upgrades like body roof light rack and the twin spare tires. 😂😂
Horror-izon just lost at least 50% of their rc plane & helicopter business yesterday. (In other words, a bunch of flying people are selling out & going back surface! Yep, me too!)
Too bad that so many things had to be upgraded on the truck. That's why the hammer rey is my first losi truck but also the last one for sure. The original bell crank system is just so disappointing. The servo horn, the servo itself, the motor ....so many things. Please losi, start to sell roller directly because it's a waste of money.
I have a losi super baja rey v1 and the first time you work on them it's horrible to figure out what to take-off an what don't need to come off to work on it. And the steering design on the losi baja rey an rock reys big and small are crappie stock and not alot better upgraded. Main downside to the losi.
It sucks that HH makes you buy their overpriced electronics which are sometimes just literal e-waste that should go straight to the bin. I fly RC planes which has an older demographic and HH is not allowed to pull that crap as much for planes (like not being forced to buy bundled garbage transmitters/batteries/chargers with every model unless it's a true beginners plane.)
I love your passion and authenticity. Your level of instruction is so helpful for us newer to the hobby. Cheers.
I would ditch the stock servo horn and link. Hopefully somebody will make a bellcrank up grade. Nice job

That’s good to know.

@@ExocagedRC I know you're getting the Vivaton. Coming to a video soon, lol.
Will hammer rey bell crank also work on baja rey? Not 2.0
Seems everything is more expensive and made cheaper! 😢 you would think that these companies would watch more of your videos!👍👍😁😎✌️
They don't care because everyone keeps mindlessly buying the stuff.
They do watch my videos…. All of them…
@@Jsmith9619that's it.
I like how the motor comes out. & the mods your doing.
and here i was thinking they updated the steering from the previous model
They did not.
I need that Vitavon bell crank
Me too buddy.
I'm running the same motor esc combo in my blackout, and it's flat nasty! Had to go to all hardened diffs!! 😂😂
very nice work, i love to build and upgrade, thanks for all your hard work,
Just followed you on TikTok didn’t realize you were on there🤷🏻♂️🤣👊🏻💪🏻
Yeah buddy.
Really enjoyed the live stream
Nice man very good info.
Clean rebuild sir looks like power house bell crank i think your doing next but im sure you will get it done
Yeah steering is next.
I want this truck but I like livery guy , always on back order

I've been waiting for this, I wanna see how you set this one up.
Gotta get the steering stuff for it but the raw500 made a huge difference

Really? Why would they do that?
Are you drunk? lol
Love the wrenching videos. This might be a dumb question but does the sand on your track hurt certain parts like bearings etc ?
Thanks and yeah the sand gets into everything.
👉👍😁
I am convinced that stock steering in every rc terrible.

yes, been saying the same for years now, most rtr rc cars are quantity over quality, need a roller option for sure
I like this truck more than the Hammer Rey. I will make this perform well.

I have a couple planes too and yeah it’s not like you can just stop and reset to go again. LoL.
I wanted one of these trucks until I saw this video. That steering setup is terrible.
It'll be fixed soon
