They may be onto something great. This type of transport looks so harmless. Collisions with in kind vehicles will be much less destructive to objects and to pedestrians than other kinds. I wonder what a collision test result will be like to the rider at a city street speed limit of say 50km / hour, then compare that collision test to that of a traditional motorcycle.

    • @woolunderwear2522

If this does become a popular mode of transportation it’s most likely people will still continue to traditional cars and motorcycle so being completely unprotected in this inflatable vehicle and being hit by a car still needs to be considered, but I still want one lol.

That looks cool. Although, how’s that any different from a folding bike/scooter strapped to a motor?
No doubt it’s more lighter and compact than a traditional metal folding bike/scooter but it looks like it takes much space in a backpack plus the an electric air pump, and still need to be carried by hand or over the back or shoulder.
I own a Razor A6 scooter (non-electric) and it’s about 11 lb, half the weight of Poimo scooter here.
Sure, it’s non-motorized and the long frame sticks out like a sore thumb when not in use when you wrap a Poimo in a bag. But Poimo scooter ‘portability’ functions did not change that much.
Oh not to mention the set up. You will spend about 1 minute to take out of the bag and spread out evenly and takes about 2 minutes to inflate, if you have a electric air pump and plugged in, unless you have plenty of time in your hand. With a kickscooter, you open within a second and start riding.
I don’t know how to explain this in best details. Short version, the factors between electric inflatable scooter and a non-electric metal (kick)scooter regarding weight, portability, durability, setup time, terrains and conditions, and power.
Each have their up- and downsides, it depends what you are willing to sacrifice.
