I was happy that there wasn't any rain in this one! I don't mind it in the videos, I just think your personal visits are nicer without a steady drizzle. Thanks for sharing! I love seeing the stonework and masonry that went into these structures. The time and care they took always amaze me. The arches are just beautiful after almost a 1000 years.
Hi there thanks for this little tour! :) I recently was reading my family ancestry book that traces my family (Mortimers) back to the days of Roger and beyond to the origins of the family that starts in France. Quite interesting this was a nice feeling to see the castle, well what's left of it anyway, a little piece of me wish it would be rebuilt but alas it would be a colossal undertaking! thanks again - R. Mortimer ( Australia )
Roger Mortimer. That would be he who whacked the man head off causing Meg to lose her dinner. Nice guy. Sure do enjoy these videos. Hope to see the new ones coming when you return from your trip. Have a wonderful time and stay out of the rain!!
Hello from Tennessee! I really enjoy watching your videos on castles.
Oh I'm so glad you like them! Thank you!

Thank you! Yeah, we kind of just have to accept that we are going to be out in the rain much of the time. But sometimes it can be a little much!
I wasn't even aware there was a castle at Wigmore! Thanks for this, Sarah.
You are so welcome!

As you say, good ole Mortimers! Fun to see where the bad guys lived too!
