I have to say this was a very well done tutorial. I especially appreciate the call-outs for - "make sure you remember to do this. It is very important". Those "little" details are very easy to miss and cause a lot of lost time and frustration. Every time you made a call-out, I went back a little bit to make sure I captured the instructions. I can tell it helped me to avoid pulling more hair out of my head. Well done sir!

thank you for the video. I'm facing an issue with the csv to table transformation. All my column values are added in the first column

You need to use AWS glue option to extract data from S3 bucket to Athena Query table, where you will an option to ignore first row as it will column names.

@@cloudquicklabs I think there's been some updates to the definition process as I saw my console looked different than what's in this video. I was able to figure that out quickly. But, there's now an option under the Data format section to specify the field.delim, then under that - Column details. Headers in the Preview Table command were omitted.

which is more cost efficient to use glue crawler with Athena or Athena directly to query data in s3

Both are cost effective approach at their unique requirement. But preferably directly accessible would more cost effective way.

If you know T- SQL query is enough. It works at Amazon Athena as well.

      Gold that it helped you.
Please check if data exists in Amazon S3 bucket and if Athena is extracting data correctly.

If we add new csv file into S3 bucket, will it add data to Athena table automatically?

Thank you for watching my videos. I believe that you need to run the query again to load the data in temporary database then use it. Please try the same from your side.

Beware before buying any product from Vision as their support is very very poor. I called their hotline twice and after long music it only ended up with 'Good Bye'. Very upsetting.
