Team leggings here.😁 it might be related to being a former college athlete, because I used to live in them. Now that I’m old(er), I still wear them to workout, hike and jog because (good ones) hold everything in and reduce any unwanted jiggle.👍🏼 Casually, I love wearing them too and for what it’s worth, always wear a Spanx brand because they’re super supportive, you don’t see through them and for me, I stay away from any shine or shimmer. They carry a variety of flat or matte textures which are quite slimming. I should also mention, whatever top I’m wearing is always mid-thigh! Like, not just skimming the bum, but well over my front and back bits! 🙃🥰 I also go for a length that falls just above my ankles, so they’re good with any boot or shoe.

I'm definitely on Team Legging (yay for strength training @ the gym!) - they are unbeatable in terms of comfort and versatility. I love your styled outfit suggestions - any time I have worn leggings "in public", I've always followed the "cover your butt" rule with tops :D.
I'm also a knitter and sweater lover, so sweaters with hi-low or shirtwaist hemlines are always a win, and I like the dolman-sleeve sweater with the fitted bottom that you styled.
Also, I just love that Rag & Bone hat on you! It is so stylish and the color is beautiful.

Erin, great video styling! I personally wear leggings only at home or for the gym. You've shown some great looks to transition to for errands after the gym! However, most of these looks can be used with my favorite: slim leg jeans! Thanks! QUESTION: What was the brand of the blazer you showed some weeks ago that's very similar to the Veronica Beard & Balmain blazers with gold buttons. It's more affordable, tho it doesn't last as long. You said you wear it a lot on planes! Thanks! Some great looks here & very adaptable for warmer climates ... read "Texas climate," where we alternate between winter & spring on a weekly or sometimes daily🥴 basis! Thanks again! 👍😁❤❤💞

Oh I got the whole leggings down pat, but glad to see your tips. I dont go to gym to this and that, etc. I got the longer bottom layer with the shorter jacket. I can not wear the big bags. I like the one that goes over shoulder & size is not oversize. Second look I got a lot of cardigans like yours with long sleeve and have the long cardigan and they are light weight even one that I can tie up with jeggings. I have those booties and narrow foot- love them! I am always looking for budget items, and even some of the places you mention on sale at this time of my life - cant do. I can get most of these designer brands at Preloved items from down the street. I got recently Ann Klein cropped jackets for a song there. The boots I got on a 70 percent off sale. I am 5 feet so I have to really watch how much volume in sweaters etc. I have gone to Nordstrom and other links and items are out of my budget right now. So I find a way to do it for even so much less. And I get compliments constantly and ppl asking to go shopping with me. Lol. I was doubting myself when I had gotten my wardrobe together after watching some of the petite videos. But I have the items and I just try things on and I know tailored casual looks best on me and works for my lifestyle right now. I feel more confident now that I am seeing I can make it work for my body style and to look taller and slimmer. I still have a few things to fill in but I think I already knew what worked but with some of these trends and videos I began to doubt myself. I dont want to toss all my new clothes away and start over. I really have learned alot and can rock the items I have. Who knew I had the moto jackets in leather already? I was thinking I need to get these blazers then found oh I have the same style in my closet. Thank you for sharing your tips!

I have come to the conclusion that fashion is fun, and I just don't have extra money for a new outfit every time these suggestions of fabulous looks come out... I have several pairs of leggings & I've always used them to dress in layers. A base layer of leggings & a tank top = a body suit & you can throw on other pieces over it as much or as little as you want. Switch out the tank for a long sleeve tee or turtleneck in Winter if you live in a colder climate. Add a skirt & boots/jacket &a few accessories-bingo, you've got an outfit. Leggings have been a foundation in my wardrobe since the 80s. I especially love colored/ patterned leggings to add interest to all black outfits.

So, I tried on the Spanx Faux leather leggings at Dillards & Ummmm, No, I just couldn't see myself wearing them in public. I'm still not comfortable with wearing any kind of legging out of the house (or, even gym). I feel so self conscious. I still remember the back of Glamour Magazine --- the Glamour Don'ts! That just rings in my head to this day!
You are welcome to that opinion, but I have many subscribers that have been asking for legging styling ideas. I get that they are not for everyone. Feel free to substitute a skinny jean in any of the looks that I mentioned in this video for a similar look.

I could not live without leggings! I am 68 and can never find jeans that fit me which is annoying. I just bought 3different pair of Zella leggings from Nordstroms and I love them. Thanks for the video!!
