    I am an INFP and I was surprised when the visual memory was mentioned. It was one of things that I find bizarre to myself because even the things that happened to me years ago seems like yesterday for it appears vividly on my mind. But on the other hand, I usually have some trouble remembering things/events that didn't really register to me or I ain't had a certain attachment to.

    • @KxNOxUTA
      @KxNOxUTA 3 ปีที่แล้ว +49

      Yeah this. Here I am desperately trying to remember mundane things or things that I know are important but don't feel are important. Like names 😭 I can remember what energy, what body language a person had and what story they told (if it's deep) but I can't tell their name even after meeting them several times and let's not start talking about things like hair cuts or colors or clothes 😂. But then I'll go and vividly remember what that rain drop looked like jumping across hot spring water with HD sound and skin feeling and smell and all. Or hear and feel upon remembering the voice of a person I really adore and I'll feel the vibration of their voice sink into my bones although they're not there at all. 🤯 Brain! • @KxNOxUTA
      @KxNOxUTA 3 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @@speedyboi349 That's the point. To our brains homework most of the times doesn't register as "important" at all unless it's a subject or teacher we care for. 😅 And the truth is: As nice as school materials are, a ton of it is indeed not overly useful in life. It's too specific. We are the types needing more brief exposure to many things AND constant exposure to methods over content. E.g.: "how to learn" methods over "materials to learn" and "How to pursue interests" versus "You must learn all of that down to detail or you're a bad student".
      And for us, memories of little things do mean the world. They're psychological pin-points that will safe, teach (or really hinder) us throughout our lives 😂.
      P.S.: it's "sis", dear! "sis" 😋

      With the memory. I am leaning towards INFJ, but I have very few memories from my childhood. Those I remember are quite vivid and have a layer of darkness and sadness. I remember dreams quite well and have often several and longer dreams in one night. In school, I had a really shitty memory though, which was a problem for me. But with music, I could play the violin from remembering the tone of the melody and how the notes went up and down. Couldn't read the notes for shit, but if I had heard the melody a few times I had it down. Whenever I remember an event/important conversation, I remember how the light was, what I was wearing, what the other person was wearing, my feelings, It's like remembering a scene from a movie. But I am also attracted to an INTJ.

    I believe I'm on the end cycle of Awakening and knowing the insights of my true being.

      @KxNOxUTA 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      We have access to all cognitive functions. So technically speaking if we practice we can use them all but the amount of work needed and on which parts, will differ greatly.
      So what defines out type is really more about "Going by which pattern will be the most natural" and about which pattern we'll most likely return to when things are at stake!!
      I guess the more balanced we are, the harder to tell your type or your dominant aspect 😋 After all the cognitive stack is just ...... one brick in what builds our house! (OK maybe more like the base/foundation of our house). But from there we'll havr countless other things shape us and shape what functions we train or are forced to train (in worst case at the cost of living, but short, because it eats us up being in a "fake skin" on the long run).
      At the end of the day it doesn't matter. It only matters if knowing more about yourself helps you with embracing yourself, others and finding ways to connect.

      @@KxNOxUTA thank you so much . Have shed more light on my type. I'm sure I'm an INFJ.
      While I incited about the patterns , I mean I was in a realm of shedding old patterns and to embrace a new way of being.
      In both way it's Sufferings and Bliss .
      It's about how we make it .
      One has to experience the darkness in order to appreciate the light.
      The feeling of so much but not being able to articulate .
      I always have to check my phone to know what day it is, or even the day of the week. That is because I don't live in today. I live in yesterday, in three weeks ago, in ten years from now, in five minutes from now, and in times that do not exist in this plane and which I will never experience. But I definitely do not live in "now".
      Mf I feel like an alien. It hurts being only a person with this type among family , friends , relatives. No body feels for humanity and mankind around me . I don't fear dead , but I fear having to die without making this world a better place .
      Confession - doing nothing in life , While I'm at it, freed myself from the belief that my worthiness is directly proportional to how productive I was are and the manner in which I hold space for others. My self esteem goes from ' I'm a big failure and won't do anything substantial in life " to" I have a glorious purpose. " Am i wrong here? Because I can't just engage with the world , because I still don't feel understood of myself . Yet, knowing Everything about life.

      @@cosmic2096 I am an INFP and pretty sure about it after looking closely at how my process of forming decisions works. And heavens, you sound exactly like me. Minus the parts of (guess what) judging myself for it. I do see what I can and can't and where I'm being a border or burden on others and don't judge, because noone is to blame for the tensions coming from the simple differences between us. It's misfit on both sides and yes, it's painful but that is all. An invitation to be with it, since it's an invitation to practice acceptance and compassion and balance.
      Now ofcourse it takes "two sides" to manage that and yes, often ppl will not quite feel invited to come half the way when - as a majority - they suffer the impression sth. is supposedly "wrong" with us. And like this we all lose the gifts we have to give. Since they require safe spaces to come to the surface.
      You speak INFx. I hear you and feel you. Also currently not working. Please be gentle with the part of you that naturally has to face more hurdles to find a functional working place that let's you live. And while you are where you are: Yes, please follow your purpose. Your being here by itself is encouraging for others to be there. For me, for example.
      We have already entered the stage in which a lot of people are talking about us and becoming aware of themselves, us, each other's workings. We're already way further now than e.g. even just 10 years ago.
      With every further year we will shape the world further. You already HAVE changed it for the better. Please try to let go of the assumption it takes anything great to do so. You can be an absolute noone and say an comforting "random" thing to someone and they can end up turning the world upside down because a detail in what you said or HOW you said it, made all the difference.
      And you may never know, because what they change the world with may be sth. like a tiny part that enables something greater to function.
      Take that weight off your shoulders, precious! You are already enough. Right now.
      P. S.: Plz check how your "not living in NOW" functions. If you use it as templates to heal past patterns or to form new patterns then you are living in the NOW and doing visionary homework to shape new outcomes for the next now. It's like simulation training and not like being stuck without moving anywhere. It's an actual skill (that um..... "normal" ppl can't really tell you about, I guess 😂 which is why we should talk to peers. Thank you very much, Internet!).
      U be OK! That's your first and most important job in life and the greatest gift you can grant to the world and it's godamn hard to just do that. You may feel stuck now, but what if it's you being granted space instead.
      Hugs for you from far far away around the corner! 🤗

Then, reviewing the cognitive functions, I thought I was an INFP, but I 've realized that my Fe is strong to be an INFP. My moral framework is not subjective, but subject to the group. Life inevitably will shake us from time to time, and I never want to get to a point of being entirely adverse to negative feelings that I can absolutely not handle them. It is definitely a mindful balance as to decide what things are worth the negative feelings. Obviously, your mind is yours to decide what to do with, but I hope that if you find yourself having negative thoughts you are kind with yourself. 4:43 this part really resonated with me, because I’ve always felt like my internal emotional memories (and other regular memories as well) have a very strong visual sense/vibe to them, which was strange to me because they weren’t always necessarily visual in nature. Like a lot of “memories” I have are really recollections of moments of deep internal thought towards something, and sifting through my emotions and their meaning towards that thing. And yet they always seemed to have their own specific *vibe* in a way, and that vibe always seemed to have visual aspects.

      If I may make a suggestion without knowing the situation and if you tried other things before already, but generally speaking:
      People are usually less inclined to hear your (valid) input if you come in with a harsh "tone", blame and demands. It's a door slammer, not a door opener more often than not.
      So if you happened to not have tried an understanding approach yet, then I really suggest that! 🙂 If you come in assuming they weren't aware why doing sth. is problematic and explain it, it'll be easier for them to express their understanding and to adjust that in future.
      Ofcourse if you already reached out nicely several times to this specific channel owner, then I could understand your frustration and choice of words.
      Please consider this a casual attempt at boosting communication levels from someone who happened to see you place reasonable request. I wish you a good day!

      @@alexandra9944 I understand where they and you are coming from, believe me BUT it's still an ignorant approach. Not necessarily maliciously so! We do not know where they are from and what their knowledge is. Or their age and Internet experience. There are countless countries out there and countless people who do not know about the whole culture of crediting nor of the laws connected to copyright.
      I've often had this discussion and many ppl are simply not aware. On top we have a young generation of ppl being used to sharing being normal. The people going around talking about copyright etc. are an aware minority who have personal experience with this topic.
      When we talk to others assuming they might have no idea, then chances are, that they'll be open to learn about them AND they will on top be helping with spreading these habits. And hopefully choose a similarly careful approach.
      Meanwhile I have seen people be incredibly put off by getting attacked over something they simply weren't aware of and they partially choose to go even to opposite way because it's ALSO not OK that people get bashed and bullied due to making a mistake and not having a certain specific knowledge. Partially, because our sharing culture does NOT reflect these things. So ppl cannot simply make sense of it by themselves.
      If we want things to work, attacking people is the wrong way. It's a bit if a different matter when we already tried it the nice way.
      If we want these things to work, we cannot be the bullies! We have to be the kind people motivating others to do things for the right reasons. And yes, I'm very aware it's a high challange and there are idiots out there and it costs us a lot of energy. That's the price for wanting to install and maintain rules that are on top supposed to be widely known worldwide. It's ambitious so destroying our own efforts is extra unhelpful, don't you think? Objective truth? Caring about others more than themselves? What the hell? Imagine the kind of crazy world this would be if people like INFJs suddenly were in charge.

      Objective truth, for one, seems like the one big issue if that were the case as while at the very most each could have similar truths, that similarity will probably be the closest it gets(not is in not considering the other's viewpoints, but rather already having strong beliefs and viewpoints after careful consideration)
      These other points are a bit of a whim, so don't take it too seriously, but it doesn't really feel like an INFJ would really want that kind of role anyways and deciding the more complex roles of a nation/country would certainly be enough even without the roles that conflicts outside of wars would be(this is if those being the leaders of nation/countries truly did have proper control of their military as violence would probably still exist)

      @@nameynamd9212 Objective truth is like perfection, it's a pursuit, not a destination. Objective truth is the striving for excellence in thought, and a worthy goal that hones people's critical thinking and incentivizes the recognition and correction of biases. The person themselves is not required to be purely objective, they have peers whose task it is to correct their errors-just as in any science. Those that choose to eschew the pursuit of objective truth should not be bothered with, as they've already disqualified themselves by virtue of disinterest.

    The only thing I know is those tests are completely different. I think the English one is more accurate though.

    I honestly still can't tell what I am the first time I ever took the personality test it said I was an INFJ, it actually made a lot of sense it seem to describe how I am very well. But now when I take the test it says I'm an INFP, I'm not sure they both kinda describe how I am like I got bits and pieces of both. It's like I kinda float between the 2, but you can only be 1.

      @Ipsita Chatteejee yes pretty much. I don't always read everyone's feelings. But I can usually see subtle things when people are sad. I can kinda tell even when their trying to put on a happy front. I don't really mind. If I can help some body through their issues then I don't mind seeing it. It depends though I don't always want to get a sense of someone's feelings.

    As an infj i hate pain and gult so i do not like the past. I hate seeing things the way it used to be so i try to avoid anything painful. My sister put up all her kid's pictures on the wall after the grown kid passed and i could not understand it, i would have to take the pictures down as to avoid the pain until i could handle it. Those pictures made her feel good but they would of brought me so much pain i would lost my mind.

    Are INFPs better than INFJs?
    INFPs score much higher on honesty and authenticity than the INFJ personality type. More likely to speak your mind and share your own feelings, even when they disagree with or hurt the feelings of others. You will be real with people and will share problems you have with another person. Even if it might cause conflict.
