Looking good. Especially all of those panels. Looks like you’re going to join me in the OG HVAC guys club. My AmeriStar 9K 22 seer heat pump works great on my work van. I put the outdoor unit cabinet and coil where the spare tire went. It consumes 8 kWh out of 10 kWh diy battery on an 8 hr day with 95°F sunny day. 1600W of PV on the roof runs it on sunny days.
Thanks for the video. I am looking at installing a couple of these min-splits. Signature Solar is just 30 minutes away from me in north Texas. I plan on cutting the line sets to fit so I don’t have to spool up the lines outside. As far as I can tell it will require pulling a vacuum on those lines to a certain level prior to letting the coolant loose from the outside unit. I have a friend who is in the HVAC world that can come by and do this for me (he doesn’t like electrical which will do along with the manual labor of mounting and all that. Thanks again from your video. All the best from north Texas.
Excellent video! Thanks for taking the time. Looks like they now come with pre-vacuumed quick disconnect lines. I see in their diagram they show Tigo rapid shutdown system stuff, the panel mounted TS4 modules, and a 15a 110 circuit to power a 12v power supply and the Tigo RSS transmitter. Ever set one up like that? Or with any panel level shutdown?
Be careful don’t go over on volts & if you’re in a place that gets cold it increases voltage got to account for that. If you over pannel in cold climates you’re voltage could go overcrmaximum. Find lowest temperature for your location and use tables to calculate increase in voltage and stay under it.
Love the gift of this full video and the literal sweat you put into it! Question. Is the unit small enough that you didn't need a soft starter? Would you consider a battery system for those PV's? Thank you again!
hey Taddy check with signature solar because i think the isc rating on those solarever panels is to high for the unit.. 12 amps max input for the unit..i want to get the same unit and i saw another u tuber that had that problem... hope this helps...
Thanks so much for the video instructions. I was planning on buying the same thing next week.

I have not but I look forward to setting that kind of system up

The white should have red tape on it so someone working on it will know it is 220 volts AC

Love it, thanks for sharing per usual brother.

You are correct on 12 amps max
How big is the shop. How long did it take to see a difference in temperature. What have you got the shop down to.
Within an hour it was feeling good
1500 square ft
This is amazing
The cooling mode pressure typically run at the same pressure whether it be 9000 BTUs or 36,000 BTU?
yes
Panels decrease power when hot and increase when cold
eg4 offers a different solar panel that has a correct max current rating ...these panels are wrong
Are you saying it wont work with my 24k unit?
no , they work but the current rating is high .... you wont have a problem ...my 24k came with 7 panels but i can add one more
Tady, is there a battery install that can keep the 1200 unit running during the night?
yes I have a video link in the description for you
Hello Taddy can these panels be connected to different brand units like say a Panasonic mini split that’s already installed but you want to go solar ?
no sir
Extra linseed does not look right to me. Can it be shorten?
It cannot be shortened
I understand what you mean
Next time please complete your vacuuming it is very important
these units do not require a vacuum they have pre vacuumed line sets
Ohh😮
