I have no idea why Bo enjoys this game, but I am always in awe of and grateful for our relationship and his trust.
A note on friendships with wild animals:
I cannot stress enough the importance of letting wild animals be wild. If you happen to forge this kind of friendship with a wild one, you must always let the animal be in charge of the level of trust. Any attempts to train or coerce them puts them in danger, not only of losing a fear of predators, but of losing a fear of people who will not be tolerant of something like a crow on their head. Never attempt to befriend a baby animal. They need to decide for themselves when they are older who is trustworthy and who is not.
As far as I know, there is only one other person with whom Bo feels comfortable enough to do headstands with. I never tell him what to do, only ask. Sometimes he can go for weeks without feeling comfortable enough to even eat from my hand. That's his choice. It makes me sad when this happens, but glad that he is not tame. Bo continues to keep his distance from strangers and strange animals, and remains as wild as any other crow. Should you be blessed with the trust of a wild animal, accept this gift with great responsibility.
Likes, shares, and subscribing to my channel are all great ways to support my work.
The trust of a wild animal is one the biggest honours in the world. I'm so impressed that he trusts you this much! We're honoured each year when our crow family trusts us with their babies. They let their babies hang out right near us, while they hang out further way, getting some much needed alone time with each other.
Yes, agree totally, I am hanging out with them too🕊🦅
Im so jealous, I gave mine sardines and boiled eggs this morning :D Support your local Crows people :D
Sardines? Wow Lucky crows!
Lol they certainly have US trained!

Not sure if it's still a wild crow but she got the jackpot with you, they're really learn fast but what's amazing is they teach as good too. ')
You are a crow, whisperer!
Just this crow. We whisper sweet nothings.
Beautiful friendship!
I keep telling people at work that someday I'll go in with a crow on my head.
You must be a good person !!! 💙
I try!
Then he just takes a dump on your hat 😂
Hence the hat! Lol
So. I have a crow that always comes and eats food I throw out. I NEVER EVER throw away food in the trash, because that’s stupid.
Anyway. I’ve been trying to talk to this crow and just a little bit ago he was on the branch outside my bedroom window. I said hey how you doing?!? And waved and off he/she went.
I want to get closer to this crow because I’m not good with people and they wear me out.
Just keep talking, feeding, visiting. I’ve found that a calm manner with zero expectations makes them more comfortable. They are also more comfortable if you don’t face them directly. Turn to the side a little, it makes body language look less predatory. Your crow friend will warm up to you in whatever way they feel most comfortable.
@@TheCrowLady thank you so much! When I go outside I’m always so excited to see my crow that I go HEY CROW HOW YA DOING! ?! And I wave facing it.
I will try your method, and I will report back when I see behavioral changes in my bird friend. Wish me luck!
I already threw food out today 3 times, and he/she came by around two o clock I noticed and ate some of the food. Later on my big crow friend had called it’s friends and brought some crows that were smaller.
@@hondrta yay!!! Yes, let me know how it goes.
i did the same.... so beautiful when you feel the bond xo
Im jealous too! Turds are good luck remember!! ....just in case of course!
Oh good! I’ve gotten lucky a few times then.

Hi!!! Thank you! 🖤🖤
Know ya made a friend there eh
The storage capacity of this crow is amazing.
😂
Love Bo!!
It’s all fun and games until it poops on your head.
Oh and he has, he has 😂
Did anything special happen with this crow, like did you meet him as a baby or rescue him? You are very fortunate to have a wild bird trust you like that. :)
I’ve known him since he was (I think) about 2. I don’t know his background before that but he’s only friends with a few people he really trusts, so not imprinted on humans. He was the ambassador of the crows for me. 🖤
I would love to befriend the crows, how long did it take you to gain their trust?
A while, but it was during the pandemic and I spent hours with them almost every day.
You are so lucky 😮😢
I am!! He hasn’t stood on my head in a few months, though. Hand, yes. Head, no. Maybe he doesn’t like my new hairstyle.
how long did it take to get to this level of trust
It varies with each crow, and they all have their own sense of safety, but with Bo it took several months of visiting for hours each day and hanging out. It was during the pandemic. He’s the ambassador to the crows. Now I have lots of buddies! But only Bo does headstands.
Love the I got your nose game!
Take it home... NOW@@@
He wants to be wild. That’s where he’s happy and free and can fly and be with his wife and daughter.
Oh k
Isn’t that a raven because crows are supposed to have yellow beaks, unless it’s a certain type
It’s an American Crow. I think the corvid you have in mind is the Chough.
@@TheCrowLady thanks for informing me
Aren't they just super cool critters!
That's what I call a cute genius ❤️❤️❤️ smart and inteligent scare crow sweet guy

She never gave the nose back 😭
Lol and that’s how the crow got his beak!
No way is this crow wild I can’t get 5 miles to them from them
😂
I don't believe you that this is a wild crow.
And that’s the beautiful thing about freedom, you can believe whatever you want 🖤
He’s wild AF though. Just ask the neighborhood cats.
