I love your excitement. That’s what fishing is all about it be nice and more people got to experience the joy of having a fish on the line make some more videos. I like to see some more beautiful land around us
Appreciate the feedback man it really does mean a lot.. I’m heading up North Friday and Saturday. You can expect an upload sometime Sunday evening. At the latest Monday morning.
Hey bro, well meaning suggestion from an old fart fly fisher - in skinny clear water like that replace that type of strike indicator with a small yarn indicator and you'll do even better. Nice video and nice fish. Those Goldens are amazing.
Just Moved to LA from Colorado and I’m missing fly fishing horribly. Is this by Owen’s lake? Trying to get out there asap but not even sure where to start
Yes, Owens lake hasn’t had water in it for over 100 years and it’s practically full now. When heading north from LA it’s about 3 hours maybe 3 and a half up. Turn off is on the left had side and there’s a sign that says “Kennedy Meadows 25 miles” it’s a gnarly drive and you’ll need GPS. Google fish creek campground and pin it you’ll get directions straight there. I don’t normally fish there as I live about 3 hours North of you, so I make the drive up to mammoth and fish all around there. Good luck to you man!
Dude,… you’re lobbing the fly…. Cast it like you mean it ,… all it takes,.. is that small flick of the wrist right at the 10:00 o’clock position and it’ll go much than you would imagine
@@Flyfishingnoverlanding bro,… try staying away from line of sight from the fish,… you cast to the the fish without the fish seeing you ( like stand back 10 to cast) it will prevent spooking the fish,… once you spook the fish …. That fish is done for the day… just sayin,….. 👍😎🤙
Nice fish ,bro . I caught some golderns in the South Sierra and near Horseshoe Meadows also . I guess you need some practice with the fly rod but you have great enthusiasm,by the way Kennedy Meadows is only around 6000 ft not 15000 ft as you mentioned, you're out of shape bro 😅.The higest Peak in the Eastern Sierra is 14500 ft .Mt Whitney.😊.

Almost 15,000 ft? Fish Creek campground (where you parked) is at 7,400 ft.
I have since learned this.. I read a sign wrong and I’m also extremely out of shape so that didn’t help.. 😂
Beautiful fish! I caught my first golden in the same creek. What a rush.
Beautiful fish and great video keep up the good work bro 😎
Minimize casting/false casting between drifts. Might try lowering your profile on small clear creeks.
Great job you found the spot
Nice vid! Subbed. 🤘🏼
Much appreciated man! More videos coming on the 30th
Damn I excited for you .!!!!
Super sweet channel name bro!
Thank you man!
Where'd this guy learn to fish?
No one’s taught me.. I’ve got a lot to learn still of course. Not sure what you’re trying to get at.
Whatever you say Thomas 😂
He has learned the best lesson which is be gentle and quick with the release.
nice video man 👍🏽
The name Sierra does not have an "s" on the end of it.

I didn’t wanna get snagged haha. I’ve got it down well but I could always get better.

Yessir bro can’t wait till I’m back home
Hell yeah man, it’s gonna be so sick.
Hell yea he does. I need to get some more gear.
Skip the indicator, tie on a big fat dry caddis, you'll have a 20 fish day!

This is crazy haha. I thought it was 16,000 or so but I also didn’t see any signs. Appreciate the feedback man I’ll get there eventually. 😂
Elevation is 6200 feet
cheers
let that fly float downstream more and retrieve slowly... many hits on the retrieve.
Thanks for the feedback I’m going to have to do this..
your fly should be the first thing that hits the water not your line
Rod sock!
A great video but...clean up the foul language,it cheapens the narrative and beauty of trout fishing.
Highly appreciated comment man. I totally agree I was just beyond shocked and I couldn’t remake a once in a lifetime catch.
I know we're to catch twenty two inch Goldens. 🎣🦋🤹♂️🤸♂️🤹♂️🤸♂️🤹♂️🤸♂️
