I'm finding 'higher' or 'lower than' or 'more evolved' as a problematic analogy. Teacher/learner is a bit better. . The problem with hierarchies are that they are contextual not hard and fast. A waiter is not lower on the hierarchy than you. You need them to get feed, and they need your patronage to get paid. It's a deal. Even dogs can do things that humans can't. If dogs didn't have something to offer then we wouldn't hang out with them and feed them. We'd just hang out with people instead.

Maybe “one in said field” to “one seeking said field”

I’ve had two recent very profound experiences with this happening. I’m not sure who to talk to about it.

Very noob question here.. He says "When you receive specific contact from entities.." What does that mean practically speaking? You see something? Hear something? If I "feel" something then how do I discern between what is my own imagination and what is an external entity "contacting" me?

Hey, I'm ready genuinely wanting to ask, and mabey I can learn so valuable by asking you : what is your intentions when you leave this comment? What's your motivation?
I'm not asking that in a sarcastic or backhanded way either, I genuinely want to try and see where you're coming from

@@no_special_person I've always been very interested in comparative religion and occult history without being a "practitioner" myself. I've read a lot of stuff from Manly Hall to Crowley to Jason Louv himself but this aspect of occult practice has always been strange to me, like I missed a chapter somewhere.
I read people talk about "When Hecate (or whatever deity) speaks to me she usually says ___" or something like that and it feels like the whole practical aspect of *how* that contact occurs and *what* exactly is happening seems to get glossed over. Are we talking full body apparitions, voices in the head, vivid dreams, or what?
I just want to know what people really experience when they nonchalantly talk about being "contacted" by a deity.

To say what this means from a practical perspective, since I'm the guy who asked the question, is that I spontaneously had a lucid dream in which I met a being that spoke to me and used words from a language I didn't know and had to look up later. These words must have been something I subconsciously absorbed or were delivered from an exterior source. Another example is attaining a deep trance state and receiving contact from a being that I had no specific intention of meeting or having contact with and communicating with. The dream seemed as real as if I were awake, as is often the case with lucid dreaming, but there were artifacts of perception that allowed me to know that it was a dream due to my previous training, such as not being able to properly perceive my hands when trying to look at them, and then being able to fly when I realized it was a dream. The trance states are like being half awake and still dreaming. It's similar to waking up from a dream and being half awake and you are still half dreaming, so it is less vivid. That was my personal experience, and others that I've talked to perceive these states differently in subjective ways.

@@ajax31990 so it’s like the conscious didn’t switch off and he got to experience a layer of the subconscious while dreaming?😁

14:55 I've always took Peterson's perspective as a post-nihilist perspective. He is so anti-nihilism/"P-M N-M" that he cannot see the merit of nihilism in that it allows him, you, and other logos-centrics to exist. This and his global internet platform are the main differentiators, as i see it, between him and Jung. I think that philosophically, both of them subscribe to the symbol systems behind magic implicitly.

    Is this video dissuading
    involvement with demons, per se?

I dont agree. When working with Goetic demons I was taught to treat it like aspects of yourself that need to be whipped into shape. When worked with in this way id definitely have to argue that it does not lead you towards sub human but much more a geat alchemical work towards being the best version of yourself.
