I really love Spencer's vocals in the chorus. He's a genius when it comes to writing lyrics for a song and I actually met him in Nashville for the final Warped Tour and he remembered me from the TEI class I took with him at Warped Tour '16.
I met him in December of 2012, they came to Fayetteville Arkansas. The venue they were playing at is inside one of our malls, so while we were waiting for the show to start, me and my friends were walking around the mall. I had a HUGE crush on Spencer at the time, and he walked past us as we were walking around. And I fangirled so hard, but I was too shy to go up and say hi. So fast forward to right before the show starts and we're sitting at some tables outside the venue and Spencer comes out and my boyfriend at the time shouted as loud as he could "SPENCER MY GIRLFRIEND LOVES YOU" and he literally picked me up and threw me over his shoulder and carried me over to him and forced me to talk to him. He was so nice and cool about it, he gave me a hug and asked if I had any song requests. The People Under The Stairs was my favorite song then so I asked him to play that one and they did. That was such an awesome night. I almost had a heart attack when he hugged me. Sorry for the long story, haha.

@@kaedataylor9740 The story from the documentary is they took a sound byte from kill for mommy and used the ki and ma to make ki ki ki ma ma ma. Never sounded like that to me but that's the story.
He mentions "my childhood" at the end. In an interview he stated that Scream (I believe it was Scream) was one of his favorite movies growing up. Could be the next song?
I haven’t seen the interview but I don’t remember if there’s anything big with a kid in scream was there? I haven’t seen that movie in a long time. A possibility maybe is Childs Play (Chucky)? Idk
I think the next one is going to be about Michael Myers because in the original he was a little boy who killed his sister and then, fifteen years later, returns home to murder more teenagers.
Could definitely be wrong, but I’m seeing a little pattern. At warped tour, Spencer was dressed as Freddy, and JD was Jason, so assuming that means something, there has to be a Michael Myers one sometime, as Justin dressed as him.
Kevin Tretta I agree with you I love the concept for The Silver Scream. At their warped tour merch booth it has different clues of what concept songs are going to be on the album. From movies like Halloween, Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Saw, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and many others
I love how, even though this is a concept album and not they're original stories, they still manage to bring every story to life. With each song they are able to bring the feeling of watching the movie into the song. They hit deep, tell the story well and bring this heavy hit that not only shines light on how good the story is, but makes those stories shine brighter in my opinion. INK, you guys ROCK, DO NOT STOP!
That was so clever with the "I'm not finished yet" when the song comes back in. Saw this song played live for the first time the other day in Camden. It was amazing.
Nathan Walker no the original sound designer for Friday the 13th part 2 and 3 said that it’s ki ki ki ma ma ma which a distorted version of Pamela voorhes saying “kill them for mommy” so Jason’s trying to repeat what she’s saying and In the process he’s saying “ki ki ki ma ma ma”
The thing that gets me in this song is the screech in spencers voice when he screams when mother whispers.. So maniacal and amazing. His screams have such passion. I think this will be there best album since they are all major horror fans so the fire is there.
Wow...just unbelievable. We all need to push this album to the top these guys deserve it. Some of the most brilliant song writing and talent in the game
I’m straight up loving the harder songs more recently. Also with spencer taking on tougher vocal styles, it’s just a formula which screams (no pun intended) badass. Also, knowing spencer, you can see a true passion in the songs because of his huge love of this genre of films, and it shows. And on a side note, they’re telling a pretty interesting story so far with the new album, and I’m hyped to see the direction they take it. I’m praying for some sort of full circle loop back to their last album’s story arc. Keep it up guys!
INK somehow keeps raising the bar with every song and every video. Definitely the most compelling music videos and best songs of any band I know keep up the good work boys!
This is frickin phenomenal. Combining my love of horror with my love of metal. But what can you expect from a band that takes thier name from an exceptional Kurt Vonnegut novel? Please make a song based on Gremlins.
Actually I'm 99% positive that the next one will be Halloween because in Warped Tour Spencer wears that striped Freddy shirt, JD that same Jason mask and Justin a halloween mask plus makeup in every show (from what I've seen, I didn't go to warped) so I'm pretty sure!!
I have no clue why I didn't like this band before... After seeing this I went and listened to Every Trick In The Book. It's incredible, especially the lyrics. I absolutely love Tess-Timony! Really glad I gave these guys a second chance. Shame on me!
I typically really hate Hardcore/Metalcore I enjoy just about every Metal subgenre besides Metalcore, with the only exception being Killswitch Engage but I can't stand and hate bands like Bring Me The Horizon, Black Veil Brides, Motionless in White, etc. They're awful, I don't know how that garbage is even called Metal. I could rant for hours on how much I hate it. But I love this band I think it's because I really love Horror especially Slashers, so if they didn't stick to that theme, I'm sure I wouldn't like them, but as it stands INK is the 2nd exception to Metalcore.
I love that he’s a hardcore horror fan, this hits the spot in classic horror for me 💕 I really hope he does Freddy, I know he loves Freddy and he mentions his dreams? 👀
I don't really watch music videos, or haven't in a long time but I've been starting to watch some lately of bands and songs I like and every video I've seen from this album is a goddamn masterpiece.
Shaye Taylor RIGHT!! Like that first story triggered whatever was within him and the stories he heard of Carrie and animal farm only kept fueling his inner demon
i remember listening to this song for the first time, it was also the first time i was introduced to this band, im so happy my friends introduced me to this band, as it has became a comfort band of mine for me to listen to when im down
Spencer's acting as amazing. If you pay attention to the body language you can tell spencer is getting really tired of the therapist. When he was starting to ask spencer about his childhood, Spencer looked like he was ready to kill him, which is probably why he was ready to leave now. He was barely holding back his urges. And since he couldn't get into the girl's office and get what he needed. He was in the other building, getting information on the routine and other stuff. I'm guessing he killed the person who owns the building, which is why he had blood on his knuckles.
Before I read the lyrics, instead of: "We learned the hard way" I heard: "We lined the hardwood" Which I think is also appropriate in a wood cabin 🤷♂️
I just saw you guys in concert in ND and your performance of this song was AMAZING. So much better than this video tbh. I’m glad I got to see you guys live.
2:24 For some reason, ever since I heard this song, I thought they were saying "six, six, six, Valhalla" which didn't make any sense for obvious reasons. You can't imagine how stupid I feel after realizing what they're actually saying...
Dude, this is amazing. But i'm sad because I know that there can't be a video for every song in the album. I imagine the next one is the last. And I really think is Halloween 🙌
Sure there can. Fall Out Boy had an album where every single song had a music video and it all made a single story. They could easily do the same thing here. Just believe in it.
This bands music you can take and put on the most hipster-ish thing you can think of and still be a badass. CD, MP3 player, cassette tape, vinyl record, take your pick.
I took the advice and turned my attention to you guys. That was the first song I've listened to and that's sooo badass. I had a huge impression. I promise to check your other songs and videos😉 Thank you for this little horror film with a great soundtrack☺️

Did you know my son drowned in this lake
He should've been supervised
But the counselors were off having filthy sex
His name was Jason
And today is his birthday
She raised him right and he'll come out to play
When mother whispers, "Thank God it's Friday"
He drowned in all our sins
He drowned in our mistakes
Fueled by the flood, we pay in blood
The curse of Crystal Lake
He's down there deep within
We've found there's no escape
You just scratched the surface of the curse of Crystal Lake
Don't you know he'll never be gone for good?
So we'll never get out of the woods
A machete in one hand and an axe in the other
Steadfast in his mask in the shadow of mother
Ready to resume
You're all doomed
"Thank God It's Friday!
Kill for Mommy
Thank God It's Friday!"
He'll stop at nothing
Forever hunting
Jason's coming
He drowned in all our sins
He drowned in our mistakes
Fueled by the flood, we pay in blood
The curse of Crystal Lake
He's down there deep within
We've found there's no escape
You just scratched the surface of the curse of Crystal Lake
Ki-Ki-Ki, Ma-Ma-Ma
Ki-Ki-Ki, Ma-Ma-Ma
Ki-Ki-Ki, Ma-Ma-Ma
Ki-Ki-Ki, Ma-Ma-Ma
Ki-Ki-Ki, Ma-Ma-Ma
Sorry not trying to criticize man but he was actually screaming the chi chi chi ha ha ha instead lmao because it's Jason themed lmao
Look at the description, the lyrics are there.
@@kaedataylor9740 The story from the documentary is they took a sound byte from kill for mommy and used the ki and ma to make ki ki ki ma ma ma. Never sounded like that to me but that's the story.
I always heard "Jason's in all of us" for some reason
Kill for mommy? I always thought it was "careful, hunny" lmao
Idk
Izzy Carbajal well technically all the people in scream are "kids" (teens). But maybe I'm just doing speculation
Well, with being "sure" I mean that I have really strong feeling about song about Scream on the album. But idk
I was thinking halloween but Scream would be fucking dope
I think the next one is going to be about Michael Myers because in the original he was a little boy who killed his sister and then, fifteen years later, returns home to murder more teenagers.
Could definitely be wrong, but I’m seeing a little pattern. At warped tour, Spencer was dressed as Freddy, and JD was Jason, so assuming that means something, there has to be a Michael Myers one sometime, as Justin dressed as him.
Kevin Tretta and Justin was dressed as Michael Myers at Warped tour
Kevin Tretta I agree so it could possibly be Halloween for the next song
Southern Metalhead definitely, either way. Should be an incredible album
Southern Metalhead yeah, got to meet them this year too! Filmed a few of their songs and posted them, was an awesome experience
The suttlety of the blood on Spencer’s hand at the end is genius !
i love how spencer looks like hes possessed when he performs its so hot
Taylor S. Lmao wtf
You ladies are.... Crazy HAH
Yes, he is sexy beyond belief!
Yall think its weird but I'm a dude and I find it hot as fuck too
Nigel is insane not our fault he’s hot 🥵
I love how they put "ts ts, ha ha" in screams.
I was expecting that plus a "kill kill kill" in lows near the end
Are you talking about KI KI KI MA MA MA? (Ch ch ch ha ha ha)
Doctor: That's awesome! Not all of the people died!
Spencer: Well....
KI! KI! KI! MA! MA! MA!
KI! KI! KI! MA! MA! MA!
KI! KI! KI! MA! MA! MA!
KI! KI! KI! MA! MA! MA!
It's actually ch ch ch, ah ah ah from the movies
Nathan Walker no the original sound designer for Friday the 13th part 2 and 3 said that it’s ki ki ki ma ma ma which a distorted version of Pamela voorhes saying “kill them for mommy” so Jason’s trying to repeat what she’s saying and In the process he’s saying “ki ki ki ma ma ma”
It's KE KE KE HA HA HA like the background sound effect in the original friday the 13 movie
It’s actually Kill Kill Kill...Ma Ma Ma.
"Well that's not exactly the soothing kind of story that helps with uninterrupted sleep now is it"
"No its not"
Lol XD :p
Always heard about this band but never listened until now. Glad I did
Somehow, they’re heavy but in a stylish way due to the 80's/90's horror feeling. It’s great.
the fact they officially released this ON Friday the 13th just makes my heart happy. 😩😩😩😩
and it’s just a BOP this album is gonna be fuckin fantastic.
Athena Von Dehl yesssss they played it at warped on fri the 13th! right here in jersey where the movie took place haha! so awesome
Shay Monét ahhh I know!! that’s the shit right there. everything just really fell into place.
Shay Monét and they FUCKING KILLED IT
The “Ki ki ki ah ah ah” is a reference to the cheesy sound effect used to signal Jason is nearby in the movie.
sure is, it's an iconic part of the franchise, another reason why Jason X sucks.
INK is one of the best bands of all time. How do you put out this level of entertainment for 15 years, silver scream looks to be their best album yet.
This song is an absolute MASTERPIECE, there is no question about it. The amount of talent and genius behind this production is overwhelming. 10/10 IMO
Believe it or not, this is my 3 year old nieces favorite song… and I’m literally so proud of her
Lol
Also the uhm moaning parts😭😭
The thing that gets me in this song is the screech in spencers voice when he screams when mother whispers.. So maniacal and amazing. His screams have such passion. I think this will be there best album since they are all major horror fans so the fire is there.
Wow...just unbelievable. We all need to push this album to the top these guys deserve it. Some of the most brilliant song writing and talent in the game
This album is a masterpiece. So glad I got to see you guys live for the final warped tour.
I think Spencer has too many horror movies as a kid and that's why he's having these dreams
Saw them at Download festival 2023 and instantly became a fan. Brilliant band live
This is my introduction to this band. It couldn't have been a better fit. This was a great song and video.
If you ever wanted to go to a concert with them I recommend them 100%. So fun and SICK
Keep it up guys!
that little acoustic section at @2:07 instantly makes me think of the ending bit of Protests the Hero's: Blindfolds aside
INK somehow keeps raising the bar with every song and every video. Definitely the most compelling music videos and best songs of any band I know keep up the good work boys!
I've been hyped for this all week
Heebie Jeebz same! I checked my phone so many times today hoping the video was up
This is frickin phenomenal.
Carla Castillo I went to Cincinnati, and they did that too! I was wondering the same.
XAmerican GloryX omg that was my date but I couldn’t make it 😭
4:30
SPAGHETTI IN ONE HAND! SNACKS IN THE OTHER!!!
You guys managed to make sexual moaning sound haunting as hell.
XD
Bro that is messed up
I have no clue why I didn't like this band before...
As a fan of metal and a fan of 80’s slashers, the first time I heard this song I bowed down to them as they truly are Gods
You guys should make a cameo in the Crystal Lake tv series and this song should be in a Friday the 13th movie or a fan film.
only you guys can make Theatricore sound THIS GOOD ♥
I love that he’s a hardcore horror fan, this hits the spot in classic horror for me 💕 I really hope he does Freddy, I know he loves Freddy and he mentions his dreams? 👀
american nightmare is about Freddy
INK definitely up there in my top 5 bands and the silver scream is so good
What did I do to be blessed with finding this band
That fucking chorus is nuts, so good, his cleans are fantastic
Ice Nine Kills is an American metalcore/hardcore metal/punkcore/screamo & Death groove metal band from United States, California in 2002
I don't really watch music videos, or haven't in a long time but I've been starting to watch some lately of bands and songs I like and every video I've seen from this album is a goddamn masterpiece.
Sept 13, 2024. Thank God it's Friday!!
I am so amazed by how great the hooks of their songs always are. I could go all day only listening to this chorus
WAIT!!!! what if Spencer is the kid from the communion of the curse video!!!!
DUDE! That would be a crazy full circle type thing! And like the stories he heard every night never left him..
Shaye Taylor RIGHT!! Like that first story triggered whatever was within him and the stories he heard of Carrie and animal farm only kept fueling his inner demon
MattN no no I think we both mean the little boy that the grandfather reads the book to!
MattN I am talking about the boy whose grandpa was reading him the story about the girl
Shaye Taylor you got it my man!
OMFG you guys KILLED it again!! cannot wait for the new ALBUM!!!
i remember listening to this song for the first time, it was also the first time i was introduced to this band, im so happy my friends introduced me to this band, as it has became a comfort band of mine for me to listen to when im down
@RandomMetalnerd id say mine now is take your pick or merry axemass (i play it every christmas as its my christmas song lol)
I literally just discovered this band this week on the dead meat podcast. I love horror! And I love metal! These guys are so fucking bad ass!
No better day to listen to this than today! Friday the 13th of May and the first friday after the 42nd anniversary of the release od the first film!
Listening too this on a friday is a tradition!
Before I read the lyrics, instead of:
"We learned the hard way"
I heard:
"We lined the hardwood"
Which I think is also appropriate in a wood cabin 🤷♂️
Ps. You'll hear it too if you listen for it.
Lol yep, very appropriate
I have been deep into INK for years they helped me thru PTSD and addiction and abandonment. I hope they never stop
This band sure helps you alot
I love these guys, an I love the whole curse of camp crystal lake concept they did, it’s amazing
I've easily heard this song 7 to 10 times already today. It's Friday. TGIF 🤘
I just saw you guys in concert in ND and your performance of this song was AMAZING. So much better than this video tbh. I’m glad I got to see you guys live.
4:17 this moment is so ..... nostalgic? I do not know, this moment is so familiar and so cool
epic song
is it me or does INK keep getting better and better? Love it
2:24
For some reason, ever since I heard this song, I thought they were saying "six, six, six, Valhalla" which didn't make any sense for obvious reasons. You can't imagine how stupid I feel after realizing what they're actually saying...
I love how Spencer mixed his love of horror movies into his music. Shame you don’t see a lot horror movie tributes, these are really good!
Song starts at 2:15
U forgot the acoustic part
AMAZING OMG. I never heard of them before today and I am addicted to their music. I don't know why they're not promoted as other known artists
Coheed & Cambria, Famous Last Words, Silent Planet, and INK write some of the best fucking lyrics ever!
Kestrel Cole and dayseeker. Dayseeker has some solid songwriting and lyrics.
Hell yeah FLW!!!
Dude, this is amazing. But i'm sad because I know that there can't be a video for every song in the album. I imagine the next one is the last. And I really think is Halloween 🙌
Paolo Casella Garayar I think it will be leatherface
Dalton Mullins do you mean the texas chainsae massacre?
it'll be Halloween and the music video will drop on... wait for it... Halloween. It's possible since this video released on Friday the 13th
Sure there can. Fall Out Boy had an album where every single song had a music video and it all made a single story. They could easily do the same thing here. Just believe in it.
Paolo Casella Yes
This bands music you can take and put on the most hipster-ish thing you can think of and still be a badass. CD, MP3 player, cassette tape, vinyl record, take your pick.
The sheer creativity of this band is staggering
this is my 1st time hearing "Ice Nine Kills" and man this song was fire
Only just discovered this band and I am obsessed
6:06 is just WoW
I took the advice and turned my attention to you guys. That was the first song I've listened to and that's sooo badass. I had a huge impression. I promise to check your other songs and videos😉 Thank you for this little horror film with a great soundtrack☺️
