@@josephdragan7734 - Hi Joe, great question. For that kind of set up you’ll need a powered USB-C hub with power pass-through delivery similar to this (amzn.to/4jPBcry) . Once you have something like that, plug the Blue Yeti into the hub like I did with the video, and connect your iPhone 15 to the hub as well. After that, plug in a charger to to the hub that has the USB-C power delivery capability port to keep everything powered. You will usually need a USB-C to USB-A (amzn.to/3CS41Tw) or USB-C to USB-C (amzn.to/3WR13Wm) for that depending on the type of charging port you have. That way, your iPhone won’t drain while using the mic. Another set up is to use the same method as me, but instead, of USB-C hub with power pass through, you can just use a magsafe charging puck like this (amzn.to/3Q5rROC) and then a charging brick of your choice to plug in to the wall.
Hey sorry for the late reply.. Interesting, I got similar comments in my other tutorial video from 2020. I wonder what's wrong or what's different with iPad Pro 1st Gen...? Maybe just old driver/USB C because it was from 2015? I personally don't have the 1st gen version, but a colleague has the latest (6th gen) and it works.
Hi do you think an iPhone 15 is powerful enough for the mic ? On the other video you mentioned you used something like a charger for your iPhone for it to be powerful enough
@TocaKitKat This sounds more like a loose connection to me, or a bad USB-C port for your iPad. Try using a different USB-C adapter or cable, since connection might be faulty. Also, make sure the port on your Yeti Nano is clean and not loose. If the issue continues, using a powered USB hub may help keep a stable connection with your iPad. If it still persists even after that, then I’m not sure and my only hunch is your iPad’s port itself might be wonky.
Good question! You would need a USB-C hub with a charging capability (PD capable) like this Anker usb c hub: amzn.to/4i6dDdc After that, obviously another USB C cable that is capable of charging up to specified wattage (like this: amzn.to/3D20bH8) since not all USB C are the same.
I don’t think that’s possible. The 3.5mm for the blue yeti is for listening only. also why would you connect a good quality rode pro wireless to a crappy yeti podcast mic?😂
I hooked it to my iPhone 15 and it came up as other devices and I accidentally hit headphones when I didn’t mean to. And now I unplugged it to try to get it to work but now that same message will not pop up and I cannot hear anythingwhen I’m recording
@@lizanne. I fixed it turns out it’s not a problem. Just hook it back into the iPhone 15 and talk on the mic while recording. Then stop the video unhook the usb going into the iPhone and listen to the video. Thats how I tested it.
“You show how to connect to your iPhone, but it would help to demonstrate on the iPhone what settings and show how to record I bought a Yeti I can't get it to work by connecting it to my iPhone I can't find a video that demonstrates they just show how to connect Apple lightning camera adapter
There is no settings. It’s literally just plug and play, open the native camera app of your iphone or ipad, and start recording. He even demonstrated it towards the end. Works for me, so you must be doing something wrong.

I have the usb connector but I can’t hear anything unless I’m on BandLab 😢.
Thanks! This was very helpful!
What would be the best set up for Blue Yeti and iPhone 15 to use headphones and to power all devices as to not drain iphone battery ..Thanks Joe

great video thanks
I don’t get a prompt I haven’t used my yeti in a very long time and it doesn’t seem to record a sound idk 😭
Can I make ir work with Hyperx Duocast? I tried, but the iPhone does not recognize as a Mic
I was wondering if it would work with the Apple usb to usbc adapter?
I think so
Hi do you think an iPhone 15 is powerful enough for the mic ? On the other video you mentioned you used something like a charger for your iPhone for it to be powerful enough
yup! No need for an extra powersource :) less equipment/wires
Thank you!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
What do you do when your yeti nano keeps turning off when you move it the slightest on iPad it’s been bugging me for a long time😔

@ oh yeah, I found at least yesterday apparently, one of the clothes is broke 😅
I bought the Apple usbc to lightening to use the original camera Apple adapter and it didn’t work 😭
Does this work on samsung s23 ultra?
Is it work? if I use apple usb c to usb adapter to connect them.
What if you also want to keep your iPad charged at the same time?

“I’m gonna tap it rq 💥 💥 💥 “ 😂😂 bro relax on the gain a bit
How do you connect headphones
Use wireless headphones. or connect your headphones to the Yeti Mic using an aux cable.
Do you know if one can connect a Blue Yeti to wireless transmetter 3.5mm port (like Rode pro wireless)? Thank you

Just had this same issue! When you listen back to the videos you film make sure you unplug! If this doesn’t work idk sorry!

can you use 2 mics on ipad?
I’m not sure-I only have 1 blue yeti mic 🫠

Same here. It powers on my laptop but not my iPhone
So weird that doesn’t work for me, I tried with different devices (2 different iPhones and an iPad ) and didn’t work
Me either 😢
