I am in the stage of teaching myself fingerstyle guitar just for my love of music, and I am not really into keeping my nails long for plucking. That is why I currently use my fingertips to pluck, yet I am not sure if my technique will be good for me in the long run.
I learned this technique from a classical guitarist, but this is not necessarily the correct way since everyone has a different way of playing. I extend my nails and harden them with gel nail polish. It’s hard to say whether you should keep your nails long or not because it’s a matter of your taste. If you prefer clean and solid sounds, you may need long nails but if you like soft and organic sounds, you may not want to have long nails. You can listen to Seiji Igusa(Long nails) and Tommy Emmanuel(Short nails) and see the differences as a reference. Hope you can find what you need in your music!

落ちサビが地味に難しい曲です。
ハイフレットを多用するため、ローポジションで抑える時とは体の使い方が微妙に違います。
弾けない人はギターを構える角度や左手親指の位置などを見直してみましょう。
運指は忙しいですがピアニッシモで弾くところなので、脱力することが大切です。
