*A quiet **Generater.Systems** , love the dual fuel capabilities, camper is 50 amp but the adapter helps and found it still handles the load. Haven't taken a camping trip yet, that's in a couple of weeks. Will see how well it does over a long weekend.*

We have used the th-cam.com/users/postUgkxOTeIs0vv4_9B5hsmnLsk9r930uDQLu_Y for probably 30 hours with our camper and it’s been great! The noise level is really only noticeable when running the AC and other appliances like the microwave, hair dryer, or coffee pot. It’s not huge like other ones and it has wheels so even at 90lbs, I can move it!

That is *so Cool!* Even though I don't quite 100% agree with the whole "Green, Planet-Saving" theories, I can *never* deny credit to something that is as geniously cool as the devices, gadgets and contraptions that *Open Green Energy* comes up with. *Never Stop Doing* what you're doing.

Cool build my man! Don't be so shy with the fuses. Only makes it a safer box. Maybe a small vent to let that inverter breath. A switch plate with aluminum screen and some filter pads work great!

nice video. Just a suggestion. With something this technical, lose the music and describe what, and why you are doing it. While your description gives a parts list, for the beginner, that is useless. If your intent was to keep the video short, slow it down, explain, and make it a multi-part video.

do some research on how to build cheap wind turbines,, as they will be easier and cheaper to construct. simple simple ones can be made. if you make enough money from this adventure or support,, go on to providing solar power. and finally,, research Tesla coils so you can provide free wireless electricity for the village.
      good luck,, and happy researching

Sell them, outdoors-people or people with issues with their power (i.e. Puerto Rico) would have a definite need for them, therefore a high demand. You could make a lot of people happy and make money while doing it. The reason that I say this is because most of the others on the market either don't work, are to much money, don't supply enough power, or use petrol not Solar for power.

To be honest, even though this was a cool project, you just expected that we knew what every part you used was. The thing at 1:02 I have no idea what that is, the other thing at 1:05 with 3 wires coming out, I don't know what that is. Why did you need to unscrew the back of the inverter? at 7:11 there were no wires on the solar panel, next thing I know you're connecting the solar panel wires to something else.
Point is, you seem very talented, and you know what everything is, I don't, probably most people don't. Just put some kind of note on the video or annotation letting us know what each part is, why you do things that we wouldn't think of, etc. I hope I'm making sense. Do I feel alone, is anyone else feeling this way?

    • @amaeyparadkar9632
      @amaeyparadkar9632 7 ปีที่แล้ว

JoeAceJR The thing at 1:02 is backside of AC plug he is measuring it's size with callipers to make holes.
1:05 is a battery voltage display to keep the track of voltage on battery terminals.
The wires from solar panels go directly to solar charger controller. It's schematic diagram is in the description.
No worries mate you can always ask if something is not clear. This way you will learn and grow to make even higher level stuff with your own.
We don't add basic things because it makes videos far longer and in a was wastes times of people who already know,so they can make this asap.
      Cheers.👍😉

A very heavy lead acid battery for portable application? NO thanks

    • @PunakiviAddikti
      @PunakiviAddikti 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

Lead acid batteries have the benefit of holding far more energy than any other battery, even batteries wired in parallel as well as being cold resistant (as long as they are charged), very rigid and keep their charge longer and store energy more efficiently (they don't heat up much during charging and discharging). Sure, they're heavy, but for solar applications they are the best bet over any other battery type. they're also easier to charge than for an example lithium ion or lithium polymer batteries and don't catch fire if something goes wrong.

    • @PunakiviAddikti

+Kent Hinson are you sure? A lead acid battery can normally hold at least 20 000 mAh or more, which is much more than any lithium battery. Don't believe everything Chinese battery sellers tell you, a RC battery can never hold over 7 million amp hours etc. They can also discharge hundreds of amps for short periods, and tens of amps continuously without warming up which lithium batteries can never do. They can maybe produce 100 amps max and explode due to thermal stress.

How about you do your research before posting comments. Take a look at the battery in daddy's car and see how it has a capacity of 70 Ah and regret being a smartass.

Right. Most of his statements are wrong.
SLAs holds far more energy than any other batteries.
No they don't hold energy any better than most lithium batteries.
      SLAs keep their charge longer.
Then what's the point of recharging SLA every 3 month if not used?
SLA is the best bet over any other type of battery.
No, this is totally wrong. Nobody use SLAs in their phones.
An SLA battery can normally hold at least 20Ah or more.
This is wrong too. Why SLAs are commonly made with high capacity? Because at lower capacity, SLAs are easily beaten by other type of battery and not very reliable. The only reason why SLA still exist is because it's cheap, easy to operate and robust against cold temperature, nothing else.
An RC battery can never hold over 7000mAh.
If you don't know anything about RC world, just STFU. Those long-range, heavy payload and professional multirotors and planes are using LiPo ranging from 2200-40.000mAh in 3s, 4s, 5, all the way up to 12s (1s= 3.7V nominal, 4.2V charged)
They can also discharge hundreds of amps for burst and ten amps continuous without warming up, which lithium batteries can't do.
You must be kidding me. For the same size/weight, LiPos can deliver much, much more current than SLAs. Like, way much more current than SLA. A 10Ah SLA can deliver roughly 20-60A with lot of voltage sag while a high performance 10Ah 90/190C LiPo can deliver up to 1900A burst and 900A continuous. And for bonus, the Lipo weighs less than the SLA

Good idea for portable energy, however don't advertise it as "green power" because it isn't. Solar panels contain hazardous toxic materials. Moreover them and batteries use a lot of fossil fuel burning to get produced (mining for necessary commodities like lithium, lead, cobalt, manufacturing, disposal, etc). If you actually consider fossil fuel burning a problem (I don't) you have a problem. However, I love the anarchist, off-the-grid, underlying idea. Thanks for posting.
