Another amazing frame data breakdown from my favorite content creator - PENCIL. Featuring the latest TEKKEN 8 DLC character CLIVE REDFIELD from FINAL FANTASY XVI.
15f would theoretically beat everything except PHX 1 (the armor). So if you're confident they won't armor, you can definitely launch that transition on block. I appreciate your additions Ziya.
Think jab is more reliable because Clive doesn't have to commit to the forward transition and most characters' 12 or 13 frame punishers on block are also punishable by nature.
Wow. That was quick. That's why your channel is so great. You don't see any other person going through the move list like this, and on day 1 too on top of it.
I can understand the frustration of them adding Clive into the game. I appreciate you still putting in the work to get this out so quickly. Hope S2 brings more to keep your passion for Tekken. Thanks again for the video!
He doesn't seem so strong there's alot of weakness to his kit. but man i bet i can't differentiate those moves in real match better take chip and move on ducking seems so risky great vids btw!
I know it's really early to say, but I think he is really strong. f1+2, 1+2, b2f, and a lot of other just belligerent tools. high combo damage, amazing homing tools. I think he's upper mid minimum as my first impression
@@octo3167 I'd recommend pulling up Ulsan or Lowhigh replays. it tracks both sides, heat engages, mid mid, wall splats, all at 16f start up from range 3
@@llamad3381 I've seen Clive hit over 100 without Zantetsuken, 140 with level 5 Zantetsuken. Paul doesn't have a sword, and should not be the standard in which we hold damage by
Im inspired to study this like never before just because of how much I hate another weapon wielding final fantasy protag in my tekken dlc. nice music though.

Clive Redfield is my favorite Final Fantasy character of all time even over Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII
5:18 i think you can do an i15 punish on all options on block (unless there's some crazy mid evasion idk about). He's -5 and his fastest move is i15

@@PencilTekken oh right my b I forgot about armor. So maybe i12-i13 beats armor. I'll have to lab that. Great guide btw

5:28 it is very hit confirmable. F222 is even more easier to counter hit confirm
I thought so too, but people get weird about phrases like "hit confirmable" so I just say "seems" so people don't direct their nerd rage at me
@@PencilTekken lol smart
Tekken x Final Fantasy
Thanks a lot for this content. Like Tekken 7 I'm creating word paper, for all character in Tekken 8, for my improved.
Is he weak to left or right?
right, but f1+2 tracks that direction as does ff2. And they saw fit to give Clive b1, a homing mid ch launcher. And WS3 and db1 are good for him too.
@PencilTekken tnx man! Imma rewatch dis vid in future cause memorizing day 1 move list is not easy for me 😅
@@buri250 It's tough but a rewarding journey, thanks for stopping by buri

yo lets go
so, from now on, every new character's stance must have an armor, a homing, a hellsweep and a launcher?
Well done blackjack 8
Don't forget automatic low parry.

Damn Tifa looks fugly in Unreal 5.
