What made the comedy episodes of Bonanza so great was the chemistry and acting of Michael Landon and Dan Blocker. They were just fabulous together. Chemistry can't be taught and these two had it.
Yessir, my brother and I had our baths and in our P.J.s and were ready for Walt Disney at 7:00 every Sunday night. Then, our folks would watch Bonanza after we were in bed - no fair!
This is awesome. Ya know, I recall an episode I watched with my grandpa but I only remember mainly the bar scene at the end. I remember where we were both sitting out old family home. Guess I’ll have to watch some until I find it. 😊

My aunt and uncle had a colour TV and Bonanza was the first show I saw in colour on a Sunday night. Bonanza was huge in Canada, partly because of Lorne Greene.
If I were ben, I do not think I would ever trust little Joe around anything glass ever again! Great episode, one of the funniest out their, and just as filling as those flapjacks!
Landon used the window idea in a episode of little House which was also very funny but not as funny as this one when he goes after the bad guy for breaking another pane lol!!!
growing up watching this with Dad were awesome times as a kid, turns out he would watch it because i loved it, he was into rawhide, and Gunsmoke! Im lucky to say Dad is my best friend and still doing well! 🙏👍
Watching Bonanza now is so relaxing and a joy. Bonanza was able to do great after Pernell Roberts left, but can’t say the same about Dan Blocker and Michael Landon. Hoss and little Joe were great actors and even better when together. Both were great with their facial expressions.
Hoss and Little Joe are hilarious together! Little Joe is always scheming and big brother Haas always seems to fall right into it. He such a sweet teddy bear!

I always have a hard time picking my favorite comedic episode of Bonanza. The flapjack contest is definitely one of them perhaps only eclipsed by Old Sheba. And these were both in the 6th season fairly close together. 2 incredible acting talents separately but when together Michael and Dan were unbelievably funny. Chemistry is what it's all about
I just started binging on Bonanza in the last five weeks. That would be as nsgate. My very favorite is the ballerina, which others have found their least favorite. But Barry is a real dancer with Fred Astaire. What a beautiful and generating episode

Funny by note. Never saw him in real life. But I watched a talk show where the interviewer asked Lorne Green when he last saw little Joe. He replied, not since he moved to a little house on a prairie.
Everytime when I heard the theme song in beginning of each episode, I would see if Adam was still in this series. I would 😀whenever I saw the 4 of them appearing together.

This is a great episode. Bonanza did such a good job with the light hearted themes. What I didn't understand is why Joe thought a glass window pane would be "safe" hidden under a sofa cushion! 😅
For a weekly show and seasons. I was brought up with a fantastic group of actors who shared heart teaching experience on how the west and 1800's was. Family's, upbringing on morals, values of life. Difference from gunslinger westerns. Cherish the memories with my father and never get enough of watching ❤️
This was a great episode, but nothing like Hoss eating beans in Any Friend of Walter. To hilarious! And Walter, best guest actor ever ! Made it look so easy!
Loren greene loved the ponderosa home so much he asked the studio if he could build one just like it, well after they worked it out he built one identical to it in California, and he even had some of the props from the tv house in his home, loren built a modern home next to the ponderosa II and tried to get the cook hop sing to move in nextdoor, but hop sing said no, it was something to do with hop sing family if I remember correctly,, but you can go and stop in and see the house that loren had fell in love with and lived in for some time, maybe I'll get to see it one day, hopefully.
His house that was identical to the Ponderosa was in Mesa, Arizona. There was also a identical house and tourist area/ theme park in Nevada, near Lake Tahoe... It was closed a few years ago.
