I'm loving the variety of sets lego has been doing lately. Between this, fully detailed Minifigure scale batmobiles and their new "little rooms" style of television/movie apartments and rooms and Thor home I am loving lego as of late
Agreed. You can get things like the massive sets like Titanic but also small detailed ones like this. There's stuff for all kinds of adult collectors

Really like this one. I had the big Lego Disney castle, but when I moved to my new house I just didn't have space for it anymore and had to sell it. Same goes for the Harry Potter Castle. I've even had to tell myself very sternly that I cannot buy those kinds of Lego sets anymore as I just don't have the space for it. Unfortunately Lego is going big and expensive with a lot of the sets meant for adults. Just heard about the Home Alone set which sounds awesome to me. Given the price however, it is going to be massive. I think the build will be awesome with a lot of nice easter eggs to the movie, but just impossible to display in a normal sized home. I wish Lego would make more sets aimed at adults that aren't so massive in size. I am an adult fan of Lego, but I don't have an unlimited budget and unlimited space.
I love this set so much. It's perfect for collectors that don't have a lot of display space but it's still pretty detailed. I'm definitely picking one of these up. I would love if this ends up being a success and they do other Disney World icons for the 50th like Spaceship Earth from Epcot, the Tree of Life from Animal Kingdom and Tower of Terror from Hollywood Studios. Or maybe the different Disney castles for different anniversaries like Paris' one next year for the 30th and California's one for the 70th in a few years
Also, Mickey's eyebrows haunt my dreams
Was in Birmingham on Saturday. Went in the LEGO store in the Bullring at the start and end of the day. At the start there were 16 of this set on display, by the end there were only three, easily the best seller I saw that day.

As a lifelong Disney parks fan, I love this little castle so much. I've been hoping for years that they would create a LEGO Architecture-esque set of Cinderella Castle, especially because I don't have the space for the original gigantic castle set. They nailed it with this little one. Lots of great details, a cool retro Mickey figure, and an agreeable price. Perfect. My favorite LEGO set in a very long time.
I finally picked one of these up on a recent visit to Disney Springs, and I was just blown away by the value and detail present in this set. $35 for almost 700 pieces, with exclusive prints, an exclusive figure, and brand new colors feels like such a bargain, and it’s by far one of the absolute cutest sets Lego has ever put out. I’m very, very happy with this build.
This looks like a great set. I'm still hoping LEGO can someday make the castle from Disneyland as well! Might be a good excuse for a Walt Disney minifig.
Lego needs to release more sets like this . Wish they included one more minifigure though
You had me laughing so loud at the end when you accidentally knocked down the mini figure. It was totally unexpected and you played it off so hilariously. I bet you have a whole ton of bloopers that would leave us all in stitches.
Just like the Batmobile Tumbler Scarecrow Showdown, I'm glad this is NOT a GWP that is restricted to buying the big version. It might feel a touch expensive for its size, but that's the only flaw because again, like the smaller Tumbler, this is a fantastic space and wallet friendly alternative to the space eating and much costlier big version. And fully enclosed as well!
Shocking how so much thought and detail went into this with those printed pieces, the new colours and how relatively complex this was to put together; it's actually like an Architecture scaled version of the big Disney Castle. Having a minifigure at all is a nice bonus.
I'm with you. I'm still bitter about the 89 Batmobile GWP. I bought it off Ebay when it came out because I had no interest in the big one but I wildly overpaid for it. I'd much rather have got it for a price similar to the 60s Batmobile or Tumbler if I had been able to buy it normally. I'm still glad I got it then because now it's even more expensive and there's so many people that wanted that set who weren't able to get it
@@joevictor53 I'm upset I never got the GWP 1989 Batmobile. I bought the big one the day or two after release day and the GWP wasn't available anymore.
I absolutely love this set, I've been a huge Disney fan forever and I recently got to go to Disney World for the first time with my family and this really captures the magic! And it's so reasonable!

But priced so low scalpers got ahold of them. I missed out on getting one from Lego. But the Disney store had them in stock. No way I’ll ever pay scalper prices.
This thing is sold out EVERYWHERE where I am, and I went to the Lego Store on my bday last week and I was soooo lucky to get it from a lady that was returning it😂and people this is MAGNIFICENT!!! I love thing and I’m so happy to have this in my room
This set is really priced well. I would think a set like this would be priced at $50 or more because it is a Disney set that has a Mickey Mouse mini figure. This is the type of set that would be a Disney exclusive for the 50th anniversary. Good job LEGO

I love this set and will definitely be getting one for myself once I can find it in stock! One question I wanted to ask because I obviously haven't been able to build it myself yet... how would the build experience be for non-Lego fans? This looks like a great gift for the Disney fans in my life that don't understand my lego fascination but I wouldn't want to scare them off with a bad build experience!

Great. Lego realizes that adults welcome doesn't mean a big budget and shelf space. After watching this and discovering the new parts, I may actually get this. Thanks for your honest opinions that challenge Lego and let us think more about a set befor we buy. Liked your old hero factory videos too. Wish they brought constraction or ccbs in some way.

I dont know if this is just a problem with mine, or if i built it wrong, but the baseplate for my castle is pretty unstable, and im always afraid it might break.

This is nice especially for the price point. I never was, and still am not, of a fan of the big Disney Castle. My problem with it (and actually with most set from that designer) is that too much emphasis (and hence bricks) are put on the front leaving the back underdeveloped. For display purposes, sure that's great. But for play value it is IMO absolutely detrimental.
This is pretty good. Would have been perfect of Minnie would have been included, as well (also for a little bit higher price then).

I just put mine together this evening and it's great. I hope LEGO does more mini scale Disney attractions. Would love a Main Street USA train station or The Haunted Mansion from the Magic Kingdom. Spaceship Earth from Epcot. The Hollywood Tower of Terror from Hollywood Studios.
You know, this is pretty cool! Reasonable price, reasonable size, nice colors to it, a few Easter eggs in it to add some fun, a Mickey Mouse minifig, I don't see anything wrong with it, maybe adding another Disney minifig, like Minnie Mouse? I really do like this set, cool review, Jang!
Speaking of value the Mickey&Minnie Space Rocket is also an incredible bargain @ $20.

In Australia at least this is the kind of limited supply issue referred to at the end. Instantly sold out everywhere. I suspect the supply for this is being heavily directed towards the USA. Very frustrating.
I think this was going to be a LEGO gift-with-purchase, but LEGO decided to make it available a standard product. Maybe that explains the price?
I love it, it's super cute mini set, but the only thing I don't get is why they put those 2 very nice printed tiles inside, where you won't even see them.
So what I did was just moved them to the front of the castle so I could admire it🙃

If only Lego could price all their sets like that and with prints, no stickers.
Hope we get all the various park castles in this size and maybe some other attractions like the haunted mansion and space mountain
My only issue with it is on the front left side the wall is slightly different. Because it has a box on it the wall sticks out farther than the other 3 and doesn't lock in place. It can easily move when handling the castle.
They missed the opportunity to brand it as Lego architecture.
my wife and I are going to disney world this winter so this seems like a perfect set to get us in the disney spirit!

There’s an easy explanation for the Low price. Disney is attempting to parley with Magic Kingdom guests after they started charging $15 a person for Fast Passes that were once free. For a family of 4 that’s $60 on top of the food and ticket price. ‘Have a Magical Day!’

I’m not a Disney fan in general, even less of a Disney’s parks fan, yet I could see myself buying this set. I think they really have something here, 40 bucks set who are reasonably build, detailed and priced are simply too good to pass.
Not a big Disney fan but I may get this. Love to see a Castle Neuschwanstein (sp) done in this scale.
