Hey Joe, You make it look easy. Where did you get your spudgers from? How thin of a flat head do you need? Could you just use a spudgers to get started? Any product links would be extra helpful. Enjoying the videos so far.
Thanks for the compliment! You can get the metal spudgers on eBay or Amazon. The flat head has to rigid. Please let us know what else you would like to see!
@@Ipodrepairclinic Thanks. I found some on ifixit that look similar to yours. They look easier to use than the thin metal ones other people use. Although I’m sure you just make it look easy. I would love a video on part sourcing. I’m looking to replace my front cover but not sure if the quality varies between websites. Or it’s all the same stock and I should just buy from the cheapest place. No one seems to talk about the quality of the replacement top covers. Thanks for making these videos. Yours are the best in explaining what you’re doing and why with the experience to back it up. I’m looking forward to your future videos.
@@Ipodrepairclinic when 7th or 6th gen just wont give, I like inserting a flat head and just forcing it open but then the back case has to be hammered on a bit to un-mess it from inside.
I destroyed the case back because I watched the wrong guy open then case. I also found the lock cable to be broken in two once I opened it up. I ordered a new case back and lock/headphone part. The lock/ headphone part installed easily but does not work. I wish I would have found this video before destroying the case back. Amazon is sending out another lock/headphone part to try free of charge.
You made that look too easy. I got mine open after a few trials and errors. Definitely have more confidence going into mine the next time!
@@BrentCurry-v4d I’ve worked on thousands of iPods over the years

Video quality will get better as soon as we get more subscribers! Thanks for your input!
not the best tool for opening
Metal Spudgers are better for opening iPods than the iSesamo Tool
