Pro-tips:
Pack your suitcase with layers of clothing from base layers to T-shirts, (collared shirts are a must for men) and a Sunday-best outfit. Women should also include a ballgown or cocktail dress. You don’t have to dress up, but most people do for the gala nights. And being smart to smart-casual is appropriate for all of the nights. Outside, the weather can change a lot in one day from rain to sun, from warm to cold, so pack to cater for this. We were 32C in Vancouver and 8C in Sitka.
Book excursions from Cunard for the ones you really want (and book early if it’s something you really want to do - eg. the Ocean Raft Experience in Sitka has only 12 spaces) other ones you can book on-shore from the kiosks. Please note, the Hubbard Glacier trip is only available through Cunard and has limited places.
Make sure you’ve got all your Visas for the US and Canada, if required, and cruise insurance.
