    Excellent video. Have you considered turning the BBQ around so that it faces the tray. Just makes it even more convenient. Also on my Jayco, I removed the Weber lid hinge pins and bought two brass clips from Bunnings. I'm not sure what they are called but they have a short shaft which goes through the lid hinge holes and a ring that snaps over and stops them falling out.

    you can make brackets wherever you want the table to be and fasten the brackets with good glue, small brackets and make a large plate as a table and a leg (adjustable) on the tear rail, you make it as big as you want each case so you get in this in the caravan since the first thing you do is take out the table and attach it :-), you can have several pieces with !! optional and they do not take much space when you go :-) so we do ,,, Thanks from sweden. (I hope you understand my school English haha)

    Great job mate. Is there any need for a silastic kind of glue/sealent to stop water from entering where the screws go????

      David Tester - I must say, since doing the install I have been wondering that myself.

      Definitely should have put sealant underneath the bracket.

    Those screws are going to rust. Pull them out and put stainless ones in.

      They are brass last time I check brass does not rustn

      @ozskipper 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@christopherquinn3681 Nope. They are zinc with a chromate conversion coating. Brass are much more golden. Thats an expensive van to be a tight ass on some screws.

      @@ozskipper your right after a second look my biggest concern was no sealant.

      @@christopherquinn3681 yep.. you defs need a good marine sealant. Not a roof and gutter sealant as it wont have the bonding ability with all the flexing on the road.

    FAIL!!! You did not add any sealant to the holes when you drilled them with that screw. This is a potential for water ingress!

    Looks great. What screws did you use?

    • @DASHOffRoad
      @DASHOffRoad  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dean Grande 32mm self drilling tapered Phillips head. Worked a treat!

    Great Job (from the guy that designed and manufactured these tables...there are around 50,000 in the market place and as far as I know all going strong... they are made from a material called SMC which is a type of fibreglass...I am now working on a radical new table design and would be honoured if you would like to do a TH-cam on it for me.
