I love that your build is a bit rustic & imperfect. No insult intended. Why do humans feel the need to attain perfection. Your build is perfectly imperfect. Thanks for posting.
So much for all of the tone wood BS right. This proves what I have always said if you can play you can make any guitar sound good. Even one with one pickup and no volume or tone made out of 2x4's. Great job.
Certainly irrespective of tonewood. I'd say the most important is the pickup ( you can equalize it but not always ). Otherwise it's mostly down to how good it plays, though if someone can play better they will sound good on worse guitars, I know at least string action make a difference
That came out really nice!! I loved how the back looked with the painted wood rings. But I understand why you didn't leave them that way. Sounds great too!!✌
@@theguitarmanifesto Sorry for the confusion brother. I was trying to be complimentary! At around 8:50 you show the back of the body. "Wood rings" might have been the wrong phrase for me to use LOL. I just loved the wavy contrast that was made by the blue stain against the bare wood. To me it looked like waves or ripples. But as you progress you stain it all solid for uniformity. Top job! Looks/sounds great!!✌I see I used the word "painted" in my first post-I meant stained-oops!!😹😹😹😹
@@theguitarmanifesto Even though English is my first and only language I still manage to F it up every now and again!! I still haven't tried staining yet. I have an unfinished bass. I'm on the fence. I still want to try hydro dipping too!!
@@theguitarmanifesto can we get a video of her rocking out? Man In one jagstang I got i wired one of the new versions of the hot rail straight to the output jack, no tone, no volume, that is actually insane tone... like insanely compressed and natural hard clipping
@@theguitarmanifesto even with a gate i get feedback if I want .. interesting thing to try, in my 7 strings I got a switch that bypass the volume and tone control
Yeah got to check out endow video now.. yeeeah. Yours got that hard clipping thing going, but man that tele bridge sound like it doing something special there especially in the picking dynamics
Actually take it back 😭 I used a Behringer UD300 it's a clone of the DS-2. I used the DS-1 on the Mustang video yesterday, sorry I'm getting old 😂 Big Muff video coming soon 🤘💯
I know I guy the made a body out of cement...we have a theory in electric guitar wood doesn't make any difference as far as sound and tone... however not sure about adding and removing wood, should improve sustain and resonance I would immagine?

Wow fab crafting mate 🎸 cool!

That does look way more comfortable to play, cool project!
Fantastic, that guitar is so cool and your playing is great
Dinky sized works so well. Love the colour. Such a garage punk guitar, well done mate.
Thank you, she's turned out great 💯🎸
Damn that's sick Rob!! Nice guitar awesome song at the end
Thanks dude glad you digged it 🎸💯
Love the song at the end! Especially the guitar solo!! 😊
Glad you liked it 🎸🤘
It turned out great Rob. I like that it's a full scale with a smaller body. When do they go into production? 😏
If I had a spare 24" neck originally I would have gone with that, but unique is cool and I'm more comfortable with full scale 🤘😎 maybe one day 🤣
I love it!
Glad you dig it 😎👍
This 2x4 guitar sounds very good. Cool project. Thanks for the entertainment, and tutorial.
It's a fun one 😎🎸
My Man, this RAWKS!!! Keep bangin'!
She sounds and plays great
Excellent🤘
Fkin hell Rob, well done mate that's really good
Thanks bro she rocks 😎🎸
It would be cool to be able to detach and attach the wings or body parts, like the first les paul
Yeah it was something that was suggested earlier, would be cool to make different guitars out of it.
Well done mate :-)
Thanks bro 🎸😄
Love it! Cheers!!
She turned out great 💯🎸
sic , good stuff man , Rock onnn
Thanks 🎸🤘
Very Cool, Thankyou. Must be very satisfying creating this stunning looking and sounding guitar from some scrap-wood. Nice Work. Cheers

I love this! I kinda want one now lol.
Get the saw out 🤣
idk why this doesnt even have over 1k views. awesome video
TH-cam have decided to no longer share my videos after 10 million views 🤣
Glad you enjoyed the video dude 😎🤘

Thanks dude, not sure what you mean by the wood ring?

Ah got ya 🤣 yeah I could always rub it back to give more effect of the wood grain. Yeah looked awesome 😎💯

Your English is better than most English people don't worry 🤣 both interesting choices
Hells yeah

She's rocking out at the end of the video, also I uploaded a video on my community page. Yeah it's a raw sound I like it with no pots or cap

The DS1 and a diMarzio hot Rail through a plank of 2x4 is tonewood purity 😂🔥
@@theguitarmanifesto whhaaaa? That's a ds 1? Next can we hear it with the big muff?

@@theguitarmanifesto haa I'm a big fan of beringer
would've also looked cool if the add on pieces were lighter, or a different color...but whatever, it still looks pretty rad!
Yeah I could have gone a few different ways with it to be fair, gotta make a commitment 😁
Looks cool but I gotta ask... why didn't you just install strap buttons and shorten your strap for sitting while you play?
Cause it sits perfectly, I never use a strap sitting down.
I know I guy the made a body out of cement...we have a theory in electric guitar wood doesn't make any difference as far as sound and tone... however not sure about adding and removing wood, should improve sustain and resonance I would immagine?
It does make a difference to a certain extent but hard to pinpoint, mass or density definitely affects the sound in some way
Do you have a template for the shape of the body? I would like to build something like this
I don't unfortunately!
You should quit smoking
I should yeah 😀
This is just ridiculous
🤣🤣
