He actually kinda sucks in most scenarios. His minimal range and low endurance hinder him. At level 30 he has the endurance of a single manic eraser, with the low range, he gets hit a lot, meaning that he does not work very well. Also, he is a single target attacker, meaning that he will most likely hit the peons instead of the higher tier enemies. Occasionally he will destroy a level, but in most scenarios, he will falter. His talents boost his damage and DPS but don't fix his single target. The hp up talents, as well as boosting via cats eyes helps fix his endurance issue, but without a severe boost, he is a lower-tier uber. He is an above-average uber but is not good enough to carry the majority of levels. All in all, treat him as a lower ranged, slightly higher DPS and HP lufalan, which generally works better than balrog. Shishilan should be your goto attacker over balrog. In stages with low amounts of peons balrog works, well, he also works well if you can clear the peons often enough. For balrog the talents you need to purchase for balrog are: Strengthen(AKA Attack Up) HP Up (To fix his endurance issue) DMG Up (To make him better at his job) All in all, balrog is a semi niche uber that requires lots of investment to make usable or strong enough to do his job well. P.S. Balrog also has a really long foreswing(The animation before the damage is dealt), which is bad for him because he gets flinched easily, meaning that few of his attacks actually land. Also, if the enemy he is attacking gets knocked back and doesn't walk into his attack before the damage is dealt, then that attack never lands. So if you use balrog try to clear the peons while not knocking back the target you want balrog to hit. If you can do that the reward will be worth it, I have him, but I find that it is hard to set up the ideal situation for balrog to aid in the success of a level. I agree with you that his talents improve him but do not make him game-breaking. Sorry if that sounded rude, just wanted to tell matt a little more about balrog and rectify a little bit of misinformation about him.

In case your wondering here are the almost exact numbers for Balrog’s attack (rounded to the nearest thousand) Balrog lvl 30 no talents: 63k dmg Balrog lvl 30 with max dmg up: 75k dmg Balrog lvl 30 with max strengthen: 191k dmg Balrog lvl 30 max strengthen and dmg up: 225k dmg Balrog’s max damage without plus levels (lvl 50, max dmg up and strengthen talents): 364k dmg 160k dps So yeah balrog is insane

Yes, balrog has the highest dps in the game but due to is single target attacks it limits him Hades does have the highest base health but other tanks (like me lol) can reach over 1 million hp against certain traits, as Hades only has about half of that and no traits he's good against Kalisa is a really good uber tho

Balrog is an amazing unit in my opinion. Almost any mid game boss rush stage (forest beasts) becomes an absolute joke. He has carried me in so many stages
Good job Matt, a progress is a progress. And by the way Can Can cat double bounty targets all. Can Can cat is really good in dealing with enemies with high damage and high numbers of knockbacks, kill them fast to prevent recoil and helps you save up wallet on the way.
Also just to add Balrog is a pretty controversial cat, he can seem bad when you dont use him right but if u get used to using him and knowing when to use im and how he becomes a GOD
Some helpful info you can only obtain epic catfruit seeds from a stage called growing epic which requires you to complete the first uncanny legends sub chapter I think

Balrog is severely overestimated. Yes he does have stupid insane dps, but his slow speed, single target, and 0 range limit him to stuff like daboo. He’s decent at best. Also, his beserk talent is his best talent and makes him usable. Also never boost proc units, the np is so much more valuable Baby fake (white sleepy boi) is a joke. This is one of the stages that balrog deletes. He continues to kB him before he attacks. You can also just use Abaha to bully him. Watch a vid on how, it’s very easy

Balrog is SSS tier in the JP tierlist. As niche as he is, he can destroy a ton of late-game stages and absolutely crush enemies when used right. Fantastic pull, definitely an extremely valuable unit to have for advents and future stages.

Matt off cam u should grind the outbreak stages because after u complete all the outbreaks. Each chapter gives u plus 50 maximum just by completing the outbreaks. This way ur maximum energy is higher than ever and than u also have to spend less catfood and leaderships for more energy. I saw ur maximum energy is 660 while mine is 870 and that’s because I grinder the outbreaks for each chapter. Not doing the outbreaks is a common mistake and it may be time consuming but worth it. I hope u see this

Now,the PAINFUL SoL sub-chapters start. Also,Matt use Jizo just like how you use paris. Jizo is just paris but on some serious steroids.
Matt off cam u should grind the outbreak stages because after u complete all the outbreaks. Each chapter gives u plus 50 maximum just by completing the outbreaks. This way ur maximum energy is higher than ever and than u also have to spend less catfood and leaderships for more energy. I saw ur maximum energy is 660 while mine is 870 and that’s because I grinder the outbreaks for each chapter. Not doing the outbreaks is a common mistake and it may be time consuming but worth it. I hope u see this
